Olvera gave the order; at tis like this, mistakes must not be made.
"Understood."
Kerana nodded, piloting the Challenger at minimum speed forward, with the reserves of power and oxygen allowing them to stay in the deep sea for three hours.
As the Challenger moved forward, the scenery of the Mariana Trench was also transmitted to the research vessel.
The icy lifeless seabed bore no signs of life activity, and jagged bizarre stone walls and ravines were scattered around, resembling the wrinkled face of an old man—a forbidden zone for life.
It takes great courage to operate in this place.
Fortunately, the two aboard the Challenger were experienced, steadily controlling its navigation through the depths.

After all, as a scientific subrsible, the Challenger wasn't equipped with any weapons; if they attracted the sea monster's attention and were attacked, at the depth of ten thousand ters, certain doom awaited them.
When the Challenger was three kiloters away from the tracked sea monster, suddenly, a faint light dawned from the front.
The bright light, mingling with a hint of pale purple, seed like a thin purple mist.
"Where is this light coming from? Is an underwater volcano erupting?"
Barnes and Kerana were simultaneously surprised; the deep sea at ten thousand ters was pitch dark, except for molten rock from an underwater volcanic eruption would bring light here.

The Challenger navigated at low speed; as it approached, the light grew more intense, illuminating the seabed as if a small sun had sunk beneath the waves.
Gradually, as the Challenger advanced another two kiloters, the light transford, multicolored halos shimred through the seawater, transforming the cold, dark waters into sothing splendid and beautiful.
And the scene ahead was fully visible to the Challenger.
"God! What is this thing, an underwater garden?"
Barnes' mouth gaped wide enough to fit an apple, wearing an incredulous expression.
"I shouldn't be hallucinating, Barnes, pinch ."
Kerana's pupils shook until Barnes pinched her arm hard; the clear pain confird that this was not a dream or Deep Sea Illusion, what she saw was utterly real.
In their view appeared an island that shouldn't have been here.
A majestic island floating above the seabed, the first sight striking was a stone monunt erected in the center of the island.
The monunt soared hundreds of ters high, resembling a Divine Sword planted in the island, presenting black and white colors with densely carved ancient runes, these runes flowed gently like a stream.
The multicolored cold light emitted from this monunt was the source of the underwater brightness.
In the island zone facing the Challenger, the island was flourishing with all kinds of strange Spirit Roots; Golden Ganoderma and Jade Grass released their brilliance, and Sweet Liquid Spring Eyes gurgled, towering ancient trees stood across, the smallest among them a hundred ters tall.
Moreover, one could see radiant palaces with glazed tiles, resplendent and magnificent, scattered around the island, which doesn't resemble natural wonders, but were creations of humanity.
Barnes and Kerana were utterly astonished; the pair anticipated encountering many conditions in the deep sea, yet never imagined observing such an island, such a wonder here.
The shock wasn't just theirs; aboard the research vessel, a multitude of experts witnessed this spectacle as if paralyzed by an immobilization spell, overwheld with shock, uttering various "Oh my God," "Fake," "God," and other such phrases in disbelief, entirely devoid of their usual scholarly grace.
