"Okay, okay, I’m coming."

Nagata no didn’t dare to linger, she turned and ran towards the team, yet failed to notice a pair of crimson eyes silently watching her back from within the forest.

"Why are you so slow."

Furukawa Masaki looked at Nagata no, who was panting as she ran over, and tapped her on the head.

"Sorry, Section Chief, I tripped and fell because I couldn’t see the road clearly just now."

Nagata no apologized, then asked, "Section Chief, are there any wild wolves around here? I think I just saw so large wild animal with my flashlight."

"I’ve lived here for decades, never seen a wolf, but there are wild boars. It might just be your imagination, don’t get paranoid when alone."

Furukawa Masaki kept walking ahead without turning his head, anwhile, everyone was approaching Dolphin Bay.

Close to the bay beach, a row of simple factory buildings was built here. Recently caught dolphins and whales are processed here by Japanese fishern for preliminary treatnt. During the fishing season, this place remains brightly lit throughout the night and can process tens of thousands of dolphins in a year.

Additionally, many street lamps stand here on the beach, providing illumination for the fishing operations at sea.

However, at this mont, all these factory buildings were pitch black, including the street lamps on the beach being all turned off. There was no light, nor a single human shadow in sight, which was very peculiar.

"Have those foreign protesters cut off the power supply again? Go check the main power switch, a few of you."

Furukawa Masaki frowned, looking towards the bay’s sea surface yet failing to spot any light from a ship; not having any ships on the sea was evidently extrely abnormal.

"Damn it, what have those foreign protesters done."

Furukawa Masaki’s face grew increasingly gloomy, if sothing went seriously wrong here, his career would surely be affected.

"What a strong sll of blood."

Nagata no covered her nose, the intense blood sll assaulting her nostrils, making her feel very uncomfortable.

"Many dolphins were slaughtered here, it’s normal for the sll of blood to be strong."

Furukawa Masaki swung his flashlight across the sea, and indeed saw the seawater appearing murky red.

But Furukawa Masaki didn’t know that the blood which dyed this seawater red wasn’t solely from the dolphins.

"Let’s go, everyone inspect the area, look around and find out where all the people here have gone."

Furukawa Masaki spoke as he led the police into a spacious factory building.

The factory interior housed many tools for slaughtering and dissecting dolphins with large iron hooks hanging overhead, suspended upside down were carcasses of dolphins yet to be disassembled, making the ground sticky, filled with the dry stickiness of blood.

Nagata no made a face of disgust yet had no choice but to brace herself and enter the foul-slling dark factory.

The group dispersed upon entering, wanting to find so fishern to inquire about the situation.

Nagata no also moved to one side, looking at the carcasses of dolphins muttering under her breath, "This is just too cruel, how can anyone harm dolphins like this."

A nearby policeman heard her and explained, "These fishern are rely trying to make a living, whereas those foreign protesters are the real bastards."

During the idle chat, Nagata no’s ears suddenly twitched, hearing noises coming from ahead.

"Who... who is there, I’m a police officer, don’t be afraid."

Nagata no shined her flashlight but saw nothing. The noise was approaching her, seemingly coming from the ground.

Instinctively, Nagata no aid her flashlight towards the ground.

With that one shine, Nagata no’s eyes widened in shock, her face turned as pale as window paper.

Because the source of the noise was a human head, rolling out of the darkness like a ball, the dead fish eyes of the head seemingly still staring at her, giving Nagata no goosebumps all over and eliciting a shrill scream.

Ah!

The piercing scream attracted the attention of all the police officers present.

"Little Yanai, what’s going on?"

Before anyone arrived, Furukawa Masaki’s voice preceded him.

"Per... per... person..."

Nagata no stamred, pointing at the human head on the ground, she had never encountered such a situation as a fresh police school graduate!

"You found soone? There’s no need to get so worked up."

Furukawa Masaki chided with a smile, walking to Nagata no’s side, following her flashlight beam only for his smile to suddenly stiffen, a chill surging from his feet to the top of his skull, causing his entire body to shiver.

He finally understood why no one was found at Dolphin Bay, a murder case had occurred at Dolphin Bay, probably committed by those extre animal protection protesters who killed soone, scaring away the fishern.

"A... a human head, Section Chief, I found a human head, soone is dead."

As Furukawa Masaki ca to her side, Nagata no seed to regain so courage, gripping Furukawa Masaki’s arm tightly.

"I see it, sothing major happened. Ban Tian, imdiately lead people to secure and protect the cri scene, Hui i, contact the county and report the situation, ask them to send the criminal investigation team over to investigate."

Furukawa Masaki was a veteran cop, his facial muscles twitched slightly, after issuing commands, he squatted down, carefully examining the human head on the ground.

"This wound."

Furukawa Masaki looked puzzled, because at the neck of the head, the fracture was jagged, not resembling a clean cut by any sharp blade, instead suggesting the gnawing of so beast’s teeth.

"Sec... Section Chief, this human head rolled out on its own, the murderer might still be here."

Nagata no spoke anxiously, causing Furukawa Masaki’s expression to change dramatically.
