In the garden, Clara Thornton rushed in with tears streaming down her face. She didn’t know what to do, only that she couldn’t face Nathan Nash and had to leave that oppressive room.
She wanted to find a quiet place to vent her emotions, running aimlessly, not knowing where to go, just wanting to find a place without people.
This was a habit ford from the past, whenever she felt danger or hurt, she would lock herself away and hide in her own shell.
Suddenly, she was pulled by soone and fell into a firm embrace.
"Stop running." Thomas Quincy’s voice ca from above her head.
Clara Thornton helplessly buried her face in his chest, crying, soaking a large patch of his shirt.
Thomas Quincy didn’t say much, just silently stayed with her, the two of them embracing each other in the Quincy family’s garden, looking particularly harmonious from afar.
Clara cried for a while in Thomas’s arms, then gradually cald down.

But actually, Clara was talking about her decision to divorce Thomas. She had previously intended to let go so Thomas and Nancy Nash could be together.
