When Clara Thornton talked about this matter with Eleanor Sterling, Eleanor laughed until tears ca out.
"I didn’t expect that Thomas Quincy, that guy, was actually tricked by you. He must have been instigated by Nancy Nash, so he ca to you to talk about the divorce, right?"
Clara Thornton shrugged and said, "Yes, so I didn’t let him succeed in the conversation."
"You did a great job. I bet he’ll co back to you in the next few days. Just keep handling him like this, and after a while, he won’t dare to face you."
Clara Thornton gave a light hum, "Okay."
Thomas Quincy wants to divorce her? Not a chance!
Thinking about Thomas Quincy’s current condition, Clara Thornton asked, "How’s the developnt of the love potion antidote going?"
Eleanor Sterling looked serious and said, "My sister-in-law is developing it quickly. She said she’s found a breakthrough, so we need to wait a little longer."
Clara Thornton sighed, "I know, after all, it was made by Master lanie, and it’s not that easy to undo."
It’s also because Wendy Carson is here as an apprentice now. Without her, they’d probably need much more ti and effort to find the right direction.
Getting clues in a little over ten days is already quite fast.
Clara Thornton suddenly thought of sothing and asked, "Eleanor, do you think Nancy Nash would use a seduction on Thomas?"
Upon hearing this, Eleanor Sterling thought Clara had a point.
If Nancy continues to wait for Thomas Quincy and Clara Thornton to divorce without result, she might just resort to that.
"Just keep a closer watch on him these days."
Clara Thornton nodded, "Okay, I’ll keep an eye on him."
At this mont, Alaric Faulkner walked in from outside, and Clara Thornton imdiately stood up when she saw him, "Alright, I’ll get out of your way for so private ti with your husband. I’ll head back first, you two take your ti and chat."
After saying so, she quickly turned and left.
After Clara Thornton left, Alaric Faulkner ca over and sat down beside Eleanor Sterling.
"What’s up? Is sothing going on?"
By now, Eleanor Sterling could tell what Alaric Faulkner was thinking at a glance. His expression clearly showed there was sothing on his mind.
Alaric Faulkner stretched his long arm and pulled Eleanor into his embrace, kissing her cheek, "You know best, Eleanor."
"What’s the matter? Don’t keep in suspense, just tell ."
Alaric Faulkner began, "I just got news that Mason Langley has escaped from K Country, so I suspect this whole thing with Thomas Quincy might be related to him."
"What?" Eleanor Sterling was shocked.
Alaric Faulkner’s eyes darkened, and he said, "Based on my assumptions, I suspect he’s using the situation with Thomas Quincy to divert our attention, making it easier for him to flee."
Eleanor thought Alaric’s reasoning made sense, and she asked curiously, "Where is he hiding now?"
"Who do you think is currently entangled with Thomas Quincy?"
Who else could it be? It’s Nancy Nash.
"Are you suggesting it’s the Nash Family? But there’s no real grudge between the Nash Family and the Quincy Family. Would the Family Head do sothing like this just because his daughter hasn’t managed to marry Thomas Quincy?"
Hearing Eleanor Sterling’s doubts, Alaric Faulkner chuckled softly.
He said, "Maybe not him, but Nancy is definitely involved, perhaps with help from others."
"So if we break the antidote for the love potion, doesn’t that ruin their plan? Then Nancy will likely leave, and we can drag Mason Langley out of hiding."
Alaric Faulkner pinched Eleanor Sterling’s chin, "Eleanor, you’re really smart. Mason Langley is currently hiding with the Nash Family. We’ll ruin their plan and drag this old fox out."
