After the blood transfusion, Estelle Sterling woke up.

He looked at the ceiling sowhat confused, only regaining his senses upon hearing the voices beside him.

"How do you feel, Brother Estelle?"

Estelle turned his head and saw Chloe’s frail little face, his brows furrowed involuntarily, "Why are you here?"

Chloe’s voice was choked, "You lost a lot of blood and got hurt, madam said you lost too much blood and they didn’t have your blood type, I was so worried about you, so I stayed here waiting for you to wake up."

Estelle digested her words, his mory returning to the ti he saved her, connecting the events before and after.

"Oh, I see, you can go back now."

Chloe bit her lip, "But..."

She was still a little worried, but since Estelle asked her to leave, she felt uncomfortable staying.

Finally, Chloe left reluctantly.

After she left, Eleanor Sterling and Alaric Faulkner ca in together, Eleanor looked down at Estelle, and snorted lightly, "You brat, you nearly kicked the bucket, don’t be so reckless next ti."

Estelle dismissed it with a pout, he didn’t originally intend to save her, but sohow on a whim, he suddenly jumped down.

However, thinking that he had completed the task, he imdiately chuckled.

"Sister Eleanor, I already got the hair."

After speaking, Estelle reached into his pants pocket to search, unexpectedly discovering his clothes had been changed, his expression turned instantly to panic.

"Where, where’s my hair? I clearly put it in my pocket."

Eleanor flicked his forehead, "Is your brain scrambled? Your clothes were soaking wet, they were taken off and sent to be washed."

Estelle’s face was filled with tears of frustration, had he worked for nothing? And gotten injured for nothing?

He was utterly depressed.

Seeing Estelle looking downcast, Eleanor smiled with a curve on her lips, "But during the two days you were unconscious, I secretly plucked so of Chloe’s hair, it’s already been sent for testing, so you don’t need to worry too much."

Estelle looked at Eleanor in surprise, not expecting such a twist.

"Sister Eleanor, re... really?"

"Why would I lie to you?"

Estelle patted his chest and laughed, "That’s great! I didn’t work in vain after all."

Eleanor saw him beco lively again, couldn’t help but smile with a curved lip, it seed Estelle was indeed fine, she could be at ease.

...

On the other side, Chloe returned to Wendy Warren’s place.

No sooner had she entered than she was harshly slapped, "Useless girl, where have you been? Haven’t co back in two days, itching for a beating?"

Chloe’s small body was thrown by the trendous force, falling to the ground, her cheek stinging, "No, I didn’t go anywhere."

She couldn’t drag Estelle into it, so she chose to swallow it on her own.

Seeing Chloe’s stubbornness, Wendy was infuriated, her expression turning ruthless.

Recently punished by Xavier Keating, she couldn’t leave the villa, the anger in her chest burning, and Chloe bumped into her, becoming an outlet for her rage.

Wendy turned to fetch a broom and struck hard at Chloe’s legs.

She didn’t dare hit conspicuous places to avoid Xavier noticing, legs were covered by pants, completely hidden, besides Chloe didn’t dare complain.

"Ah, mom, don’t hit !"

Chloe ducked while screaming in terror.

From the second floor, Giselle Keating watched the scene below with derision in her eyes, Mason Langley’s choice wasn’t very good.

If it were her, she’d keep Chloe well pampered, that way she’d have Xavier wrapped around her finger.

Unfortunately, with Wendy being grounded now, she could only stay here, unable to go anywhere.
