Wendy Carson herself was a perfur, so making a move on her was no easy task.

Giselle Keating planned for a long ti and finally decided to target Xavier Keating first, then bring Wendy Carson over.

Wendy Warren was unaware of Giselle Keating’s plan; she always thought Giselle was helping her and continued dreaming.

Giselle Keating bribed a servant to deliver tea with a substance to Xavier Keating.

After the servant delivered the tea, she imdiately ca out with the tray, and Giselle appeared to pull her aside, "How was it? Did you complete the task?"

"Rest assured, I saw the young master drink it."

Giselle Keating smiled coldly; next, she needed to invite Wendy Carson over. What reason or excuse could she use?

Thinking about it, Giselle Keating took out her phone and sent Wendy Carson an anonymous text, stating there was sothing very important about Xavier Keating to tell her.

She believed Wendy Carson would definitely co over.

Five minutes later, Wendy Carson quickly walked in, and Giselle Keating watched her enter Xavier Keating’s study, then quickly locked the door from the outside.

Mission accomplished!

Wendy Carson heard the click of the door locking and felt sothing was wrong; she barely had ti to think before seeing Xavier Keating sitting there, holding his head in pain.

"Xavier Keating? Why are you here?"

Wasn’t it a stranger who told her to co over?

Xavier Keating felt like his whole body was on fire; his study had the air conditioning on, but it felt like a steam room.

There was an unquenchable fla rising from his abdon.

Wendy Carson saw his face growing redder, knowing sothing might be wrong with him.

After all, he was soone she once cared about; she imdiately approached and gently touched his forehead.

"Are you alright? Your face is so red, it’s like...ah!"

Suddenly, Wendy Carson was pressed against the desk by him.

Xavier Keating opened his eyes and clearly saw the woman before him—it was Wendy Carson.

How could she be here? Who made her co?

"Soone set up."

Xavier Keating’s hoarse voice sounded, as if trying hard to suppress sothing, with a hint of discomfort and pain.

Wendy Carson imdiately understood what was happening to Xavier Keating.

So the person who called her over intended to do just this.

Xavier Keating picked Wendy Carson up and fiddled with a few books beside him; the bookshelf imdiately made a creaking sound and opened to the sides.

He took Wendy Carson into the secret room, and the bookshelf closed instantly without leaving a trace.

Wendy Carson looked at this unfamiliar space, feeling a bit surprised, "What is this place?"

"This is my secret room; the people who set us up definitely want our affair to be discovered, so it will affect your marriage to The Sharp Family."

Wendy Carson turned pale and nodded gently.

She guessed that was likely the other side’s purpose too.

If Xavier Keating brought her into the secret room, they wouldn’t be able to find them.

Inside the secret room, there was a bed, so simple furniture, and living supplies.

The space wasn’t large; staying there with Xavier Keating felt a bit strange.

She awkwardly cleared her throat, "How is your condition now?"

After the previous action, Xavier Keating was already having trouble controlling himself; he released Wendy Carson and said, "Stay away from if you don’t want anything to happen."
