In the room, Wendy Carson was lost in thought.

When Xavier Keating asked her to let go of that woman just now, her heart was pierced for a mont. She thought she had no feelings left for Xavier Keating and her heart was calm.

But unexpectedly, intense emotions flooded over her, nearly exposing her, so she fled back to the room in embarrassnt.

She saw that little girl just now, and her feelings were very complicated.

She used to fantasize about having a daughter with Xavier Keating because daughters are obedient and well-behaved.

But now soone else had given birth for him, and she was no longer needed.

She had no feelings for Carter Sharp; it was simply because she went to The Sharp Family to treat his father’s insomnia, and then he began to pursue her madly.

She agreed out of spite at that ti.

As the wedding date gradually approached, Wendy Carson beca more and more uncertain.

She felt a sense of panic, unsure whether she should marry Carter Sharp.

"Miss Carson."

Upon hearing a voice, Wendy Carson quickly ca back to her senses and turned her head to look.

Eleanor Sterling was lazily leaning against the door fra, with a harmless smile on her lips as she looked at her.

"Miss Sterling, is there sothing you need?"

Wendy Carson imdiately resud a distant deanor, not allowing her vulnerable emotions to leak out.

Eleanor Sterling’s smile deepened slightly, she looked at Wendy Carson and slowly said: "If I’m not mistaken, were you just upset? Could it be that you still have feelings for my brother and can’t let go of him?"

Wendy Carson’s expression darkened, as if her secret had been discovered, and a hint of anger was evident in her eyes; her voice beca a bit more detached.

"You are mistaken, I’m about to marry into The Sharp Family and beco a daughter-in-law there, so please be careful with your words."

Eleanor Sterling smiled faintly, not intimidated by her attitude.

On the contrary, she felt that she had hit the nail on the head regarding Wendy Carson’s inner feelings, confirming her suspicions.

Eleanor Sterling casually closed the door and then walked in, saying, "May we have a chat?"

Wendy Carson, being a well-bred lady, realized she had been too emotional and imdiately cald her emotions.

"Yes, of course."

Now that no one else was around, Eleanor Sterling spoke directly: "I know you still can’t forget my brother, so why are you making things difficult for yourself?"

A trace of pain appeared on Wendy Carson’s face.

After a mont of silence, she looked at Eleanor Sterling and said, "Your relationship with Mr. Faulkner seems very harmonious; I think you can understand how I feel."

Eleanor Sterling thought for a mont and indeed understood Wendy Carson.

She liked Xavier Keating, so she could not tolerate the slightest blemish on this feeling. Her marrying into The Sharp Family might just be a way to make Xavier Keating give up.

Wendy Carson said, "Carter Sharp promised that we would only pretend to be married, and he would divorce and set free in two years."

Eleanor Sterling raised an eyebrow, surprised to learn of this hidden truth.

But getting married to a man and then being let go after two years felt like nonsense to Eleanor Sterling.

Carter Sharp’s intentions couldn’t have been so simple. If Wendy Carson really married him, it might not be so easy to leave.

Perhaps she was too naive, or maybe she was blinded by love, only wanting to escape Xavier Keating at all costs and ended up using such a terrible thod.

"Miss Carson, you were once my future sister-in-law, and I want to advise you, entering a tiger’s den is not so easy to get out of; you should think it over."

Wendy Carson was a smart person, and she understood what Eleanor Sterling ant, but she no longer had any choice.
