The acquaintance between Jasper Faulkner and Samuel Langley began just like this, ordinary and without any ups and downs.
At breakfast, they sat elegantly across from each other, eating in silence, yet the atmosphere was surprisingly harmonious.
Eleanor Sterling ca downstairs, and upon seeing her, Samuel Langley greeted, "Godmother Eleanor."
Hazel Langley and Eleanor Sterling’s children had mutually acknowledged each other as godmothers, thus making Eleanor sowhat of a mother to Samuel Langley as well.
Eleanor patted his head, then her gaze shifted between Jasper and him, feeling that the two seed to get along quite well.
At this mont, Alaric Faulkner also ca downstairs and sat beside Eleanor Sterling.
Upon seeing him, Jasper Faulkner asked, "Have you been in contact with Thomas Quincy?"
Even though they knew he wouldn’t be back for a while, it was still a good idea to contact him as a reminder.
Alaric Faulkner frowned, "I’ll get in touch with him later."
After breakfast, Eleanor Sterling and Alaric Faulkner returned to their room, and Eleanor dialed Thomas Quincy’s number on her phone, but no one answered from the other side.
After nearly twenty attempts, the call finally connected.
Thomas Quincy’s voice ca over the phone, "Eleanor Sterling, soone might think I dumped you, and you’re calling non-stop."
Eleanor rolled her eyes, "Have you finished dealing with your matters over there? I need your help here."
"Not for now. What happened on your end? Haven’t the treatnt plans been established? You just need to follow the plan and regularly get blood transfusions to dilute the toxin."
Eleanor said sternly, "My good friend Hazel Langley is in trouble. She inhaled so mysterious white smoke and then fell into a coma. My master has checked her and suspects poisoning."
"Hmm... the situation you described sounds a bit familiar. Our Quincy Family once had a poison that resulted in such effects."
Hearing this, Eleanor gritted her teeth, "So it was your mischievous poison again!"
As expected, it was Quincy Family’s poison. Given Franklin Faulkner’s connections with the Quincy Family, it’s not surprising that the poison he used ca from them.
Thomas Quincy was speechless, discontentedly saying, "Speak nicely, don’t curse, or I’ll just quit."
At this point, Eleanor could only plead with him, and dared not cross him.
She took a few deep breaths, "If you can’t co back any ti soon, then send the antidote by express."
Thomas sighed, "If it were that easy, it would be done. The detoxification process of this poison is sowhat complicated. Anyway, it’s not a fatal poison, it won’t kill anyone."
Hearing his carefree words, Eleanor was both angry and amused.
When she t Thomas, she felt she must teach him a lesson not to be so arrogant.
"When exactly can you return?"
Thomas Quincy said, "I have a lot of trouble here, and it might take so ti. I’ll return as soon as possible. If you’re really anxious, I’ll introduce soone to you."
"Who?"
Now, Eleanor couldn’t care less, only wanting to wake Hazel Langley up. If soone else could detoxify, it would also be fine.
"Nancy Nash from The Nash Family. I have so connections with her, and she can go in my place."
Eleanor was a bit doubtful and asked, "Is this person reliable?"
Thomas Quincy sneered, "Among the three major poison-making families, the Quincy Family is the leader, the Foster Family ranks second, and the third is The Nash Family. Do you think it’s feasible or not? If you don’t want it, then wait until I’m available."
Since Thomas had already put it this way, Eleanor didn’t worry anymore and said, "Alright then, arrange for her to co over as soon as possible."
