At this mont, Hazel Langley had already driven to the location.

The vehicle following her, seeing she didn’t go elsewhere, quietly departed.

Hazel parked the car and walked into the villa.

As she entered, the villa door suddenly slamd shut with a loud bang, startling her. She imdiately turned around to look.

Realizing sothing was amiss, Hazel quickly ran to the door, but it didn’t budge.

"Is anyone there?"

Hazel gave up on opening the door and walked inside.

A gloomy voice echoed, seemingly from speakers, and Hazel stepped forward to see a huge screen, with a man hidden in the shadows.

"Miss Langley, long ti no see."

"It’s you!" Hazel was shocked. It was Franklin Faulkner, who had previously threatened her. He had appeared again.

"Where’s my son? Did you take him?"

Franklin laughed sinisterly, his voice carrying a chilling coldness, "Your son is well-protected, how could anything happen to him."

Hazel was taken aback, realizing she had been deceived.

She felt deeply regretful, thinking she had been too impulsive, now trapped with no way out.

Looking at Franklin’s concealed figure on the big screen, Hazel asked, "What is your goal? To capture and then threaten Jasper Faulkner?"

"Miss Langley is a smart person; you’ve guessed my purpose so quickly."

Hearing this, Hazel rolled her eyes exasperatedly.

Was there any need to guess?

Seeing Hazel roll her eyes, Franklin burst into laughter, and his tone shifted, "Unfortunately... It seems you’ve guessed wrong; my purpose is certainly not to kidnap you and threaten Jasper Faulkner."

"What do you intend to do?"

Fearful, Hazel retreated a few steps, now completely unsure of Franklin’s intentions, feeling imnse fear in the unknown.

Suddenly, a hissing sound echoed all around, and billows of white smoke erged from the surroundings.

At this sight, Hazel imdiately covered her mouth and nose with her hand, but the villa was filled with the smoke that she couldn’t escape.

Inevitably, she inhaled several gulps of the smoke, causing her to choke violently.

Hazel collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down her face.

With a loud crash, the villa door was kicked open, and the white smoke instantly dispersed.

Alaric Faulkner reached out to hold back all those behind him.

"The smoke is toxic, back off!"

Everyone retreated quickly, but Jasper Faulkner couldn’t care about much else. He strode forward, rushing into the villa without hesitation.

A mont later, he carried Hazel out.

Having inhaled a significant amount of smoke, Hazel was already unconscious. Jasper’s face was grim as he pursed his lips and carried her toward the car.

Seeing this, Alaric instantly turned to Eleanor Sterling, saying, "You follow them to the hospital first. I will handle the aftermath here."

Eleanor hesitated for a few seconds and said, "Be careful."

After speaking, she turned and got into the car.

Jasper started the car and quickly drove towards the hospital.

Eleanor sat in a good position, closely monitoring Hazel’s condition. She was unconscious due to inhalation, not critically hard, though the composition of the smoke was unknown.

In the rush, she hadn’t brought her acupuncture needles, and couldn’t treat Hazel now, having to wait until they reached the hospital.

Thinking of the unknown smoke, Eleanor bit her lip, damn it, she had forgotten to remind Alaric.
