Upon hearing Eleanor Sterling’s words, Alaric Faulkner sneered with a look that begged for a punch, "Who else but ? Could it be those few useless ones from the Faulkner Family?"

Alaric Faulkner’s confident tone made Eleanor Sterling shake her head and smile, "If the others in the Faulkner Family knew their hopes were dashed and snatched by you, they’d surely be furious."

Earlier in the living room, everyone was eagerly waiting for Old Master Faulkner to announce the successor, but unfortunately, Old Master Faulkner did not say a word.

Turns out it was to give it to this ’dead man,’ Alaric Faulkner. No wonder it needed to be kept a secret.

Alaric Faulkner scoffed and said, "What do you an by snatched by ? Grandpa always intended to give it to ; they just thought they had a chance because they believed I was dead."

Seeing Alaric Faulkner’s proud look, Eleanor Sterling couldn’t help but smile.

Old Master Faulkner had long favored Alaric Faulkner as the next Family Head of the Faulkner Family, and this was just going along with the flow.

The others, even if they knew they’d been deceived, could only swallow the bitter pill.

A little thought would reveal Alaric Faulkner’s plan; perhaps he wanted to use this opportunity to lure out Franklin Faulkner and capture him in one sweep.

Eleanor Sterling asked, "Will Franklin Faulkner make a move at the Family Head eting?"

"He probably will. It’s the best opportunity."

...

In the suburban villa.

Franklin Faulkner watched the news report with a sinister smile in his eyes.

"Mr. Faulkner, Eleanor Sterling doesn’t seem to be in good spirits, probably just holding on."

"The Scarlet Prelude’s poison isn’t sothing an ordinary person can endure. If it weren’t for so many people helping her, she might have died already."

"I found out that Old Master Faulkner plans to hold a Family Head eting to announce the next successor of the Faulkner Family."

Franklin Faulkner let out a cold laugh, "Alaric Faulkner is already dead. Who else could the Family Head position go to? Those few in the Faulkner Family are useless, maybe only Jasper Faulkner."

"Jasper Faulkner won’t live long either. By then, the Faulkner Family will be completely dismantled by you."

Franklin Faulkner pondered, "I can’t wait any longer."

After a mont of thought, Franklin Faulkner said, "Contact the others in the Faulkner Family; they surely won’t be willing to give up the position. This is their best chance.

If they miss this opportunity, there won’t be another. They’ll definitely seize it well. I want to turn the Faulkner Family Head eting into a joke!"

Originally, Franklin Faulkner planned to take action against Eleanor Sterling, but given the current situation, he felt it unnecessary.

"Alright, I’ll take care of it right away."

In the café, Gregory Faulkner t Franklin Faulkner’s assistant.

"Who are you? Is what you said on the phone true? Why do you want to help ?"

The man let out a cold smile, "Because my master wants to help you. Do you really want to see the Family Head position handed over to Jasper Faulkner?"

Gregory Faulkner’s face darkened.

Of course, he was unwilling. He was of the sa generation as Alaric Faulkner’s father, Gordon Faulkner, and Old Master had favored Alaric Faulkner before.

Now, with the unexpected death of Alaric Faulkner, the position still didn’t co to him.

Old Master would certainly give the Family Head position to Jasper Faulkner now. How could he swallow this?

Even though Old Master didn’t clearly state who would get it that day, he had always been biased, and Gregory had long had grievances.

Seeing Gregory Faulkner’s changing expression, the man smirked, "My master is very sincere in wanting to cooperate with you and assist you in rising to power."

Gregory Faulkner suspiciously looked at him and said, "Your master is so mysterious; I don’t even know who he is. Why should I trust you?"
