Yvette Ray’s pupils contracted tightly as she held onto Moira Ray.
In the nick of ti, a dark shadow swiftly pushed the two aside, but he himself was violently knocked away.
Yvette fell to the ground, and only after a mont did she manage to get up. Once she saw who had been flung away, she was utterly stunned.
Ronan Keating?
Why was he here? Wasn’t he supposed to be in K Country?
Yvette could no longer care about anything else and imdiately got up and ran towards Ronan Keating.
"Are you... are you okay? Why are you here?"
Ronan managed a weak smile before closing his eyes and passing out.
Yvette shouted anxiously, "Ronan Keating, wake up, open your eyes!"
But Ronan still kept his eyes shut. People gathered around, and soone called for an ambulance.
Not long after, the ambulance arrived, and nurses ca down to lift him onto the vehicle. Yvette imdiately followed.
The nurse asked, "May I ask if you are the injured person’s?"
"I am..." Yvette bit her lip, "I am his girlfriend. Is he okay?"
"Initial check shows a mild concussion and multiple fractures. He needs further examination at the hospital."
"Alright, thank you."
The nurse glanced at Yvette and said, "Since you’re his girlfriend, co aboard as well."
Yvette imdiately got onto the ambulance with Moira.
On the way, Yvette looked at the lying Ronan, feeling waves of emotion surge within her. Her hand was still trembling.
She didn’t know why she felt this way; she was deeply frightened just monts ago.
Moira looked at Ronan Keating and asked, "Mommy, is he Daddy?"
Yvette gently nodded, holding Moira’s hand, "Yes, he is your father."
Upon Yvette’s confirmation, Moira gazed at Ronan with large, curious eyes like black grapes.
She reached out to touch Ronan lightly, confirming he was real, and a hint of worry surfaced in her eyes.
Monts later, the ambulance arrived at the hospital, and Ronan was taken to ergency care.
Yvette sat on a chair outside the ergency room, closed her eyes, and sighed silently.
Her eyes gradually beca moist, her heart pounding fiercely; the feeling of escaping death made her unable to control her emotions.
Yvette recalled sothing, took out her phone, and called Eleanor Sterling, "Hello, Eleanor..."
A mont later, Yvette ended the call.
Eleanor had just told her they had arrived at Aethelgard last night, and Ronan ca looking for her.
Eleanor also said she already told Ronan that Moira was not dead, asking Yvette not to bla her.
Yvette took a deep breath; she didn’t bla Eleanor. After all, Ronan had the right to know since he’s Moira’s father.
She stared ahead, her consciousness slowly blurring.
Her mories seed to drift back to the past, to the beautiful tis when they were in love.
They did everything couples do, without family background or any barriers.
Then Claire Truman ruined everything. She set them up, and Ronan was also a victim in all this.
His mistake was simply not trusting her.
Now that the truth was out, her resentnt towards Ronan wasn’t as deep.
It wasn’t until she witnessed his accident that Yvette realized she could still feel heartache for Ronan, fearing sothing would happen to him.
