At this mont, Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner ca downstairs in cartoon pajamas, and when they saw Eleanor Sterling standing there dazed, there was a hint of confusion in their eyes.

Eleanor Sterling shivered slightly, snapping back to reality.

Her dream had intertwined with reality, causing a montary ntal confusion.

She almost ended up doing sothing earth-shattering. Now, as she looked at the scissors in her hand, she found it hard to explain.

After hesitating for a mont, Eleanor Sterling said, "I... I wanted to eat an apple, so..."

Estelle Sterling raised an eyebrow, "Sister Eleanor, since when did you learn to peel apples with scissors?"

Caleb Faulkner clapped, "Mommy is amazing."

"..."

Alaric Faulkner ca over, gently took the scissors from Eleanor Sterling’s hand, and led her toward the dining room, finally sitting her down.

"I made sothing for you; give it a try."

"Ahem, I... I haven’t brushed my teeth yet, I’ll go freshen up," Eleanor Sterling quickly stood up and fled back to her room.

Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner exchanged a glance and then burst into laughter.

"Daddy, why did it feel like Mommy was planning to fight you just now?" Estelle Sterling covered her mouth, laughing.

Alaric Faulkner glanced upstairs, then put down what he was holding, saying, "You two sort yourselves out first, I’ll go check on Eleanor."

After speaking, he strode upstairs.

In the bedroom, Eleanor Sterling had just finished freshening up when Alaric Faulkner pushed the door open and ca in.

He stepped forward, trapping Eleanor Sterling between the walls, and asked, "What were you planning to do with the scissors? Thinking of eloping with ? Didn’t you say yesterday that with so many people helping us, we wouldn’t die easily? And now you’re already thinking the worst, huh?"

After speaking, he lifted Eleanor Sterling’s chin, observing her expression carefully.

Eleanor Sterling internally scoffed, she would never think the worst. After shaking off Alaric Faulkner’s hand, she huffed, "I had a nightmare, dreaming that you and Giselle Keating successfully got married, and then walked off hand in hand."

"..."

Alaric Faulkner suddenly felt a chill run down his spine.

He finally understood the purpose of those scissors. Alaric Faulkner pinched her cheek, hoarsely saying, "This ti it’s my fault, it won’t happen again. Don’t overthink."

"You really won’t leave again?" Eleanor Sterling wasn’t feeling very secure, with a hint of unease in her voice.

Alaric Faulkner held her tighter, "Yes, I promise."

Only then did Eleanor Sterling sigh in relief, her uneasy mood was soothed. She looked up at Alaric Faulkner and smiled, "Alright, then I won’t leave you either. We’ll die together and be buried side by side."

"..."

Alaric Faulkner felt a bit helpless inside; Eleanor Sterling’s idea was so romantic—wanting to die together.

"Hungry? I made so noodles earlier, want to go down and have so? It’s been a while since I last cooked, not sure if it’s any good."

Eleanor Sterling then rembered that she saw Alaric Faulkner tinkering with noodles earlier?

The last ti she ate his cooking was in Aethelgard, and she felt quite touched at the ti.

"Sure, let’s go."

Suddenly, Alaric Faulkner scooped her up, Eleanor Sterling gasped, imdiately clinging to his neck, "What are you doing!"

His gaze fell on her fair feet, asking, "Why aren’t you wearing shoes?"

"I forgot." She was a bit too tense earlier, not paying attention to the shoe situation.

"Your body isn’t the sa now, rember to wear shoes moving forward."

Eleanor Sterling nodded, "Alright, then put down and I’ll wear them right away."

"No need, if you don’t want to wear them, that’s fine too. I’ll carry you from now on."

"..."

Is this how she’s being doted on without realizing it?
