Jasper Faulkner saw the sensational news, his brow furrowed tightly, Hazel Langley didn’t call him.

He stood up, grabbed a jacket, and walked out.

Half an hour later, Jasper Faulkner rang the doorbell of Hazel Langley’s apartnt, and the door quickly opened.

He walked in, lips pressed tight and face cold.

Hazel Langley seed sowhat calm, she poured Jasper Faulkner a glass of water, and said blandly, "Let’s break up."

Jasper Faulkner’s brow tightened, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms, "You want to break up?"

"Yes."

"Because of what? That child?"

Hazel Langley slightly turned away her face and said, "Yes, that’s why we can’t be together."

Heart ache made it hard to breathe, but Hazel Langley had to do it. The ti she spent with Jasper Faulkner recently had been very happy; it was borrowed ti.

She couldn’t accompany him for the rest of his life, hoping his future wife could bring him happiness.

Actually, as ti went on, Hazel Langley’s heart grew more reluctant.

Franklin Faulkner told her that Jasper Faulkner’s blood was poisonous, and that only he had the antidote. If she wanted to save Jasper Faulkner, she had to do as he said.

For Jasper Faulkner, Hazel Langley was willing to do anything.

The calr she appeared on the surface, the more bloody her heart felt, breaths filled with thorns, causing spasms of pain.

Hazel Langley coldly laughed, pushed Jasper Faulkner away, stood up with an indifferent attitude and said, "It was just acting, Second Young Master Faulkner, surely you didn’t take it seriously?"

Jasper Faulkner’s handso face turned somber.

He did take it seriously, even contemplating marriage with Hazel Langley.

Originally, he just sought her out due to a drug’s effect, but during their ti together, he discovered their compatibility.

Jasper Faulkner ca to actually tell her he didn’t mind the child, and not to overthink.

Unexpectedly, upon arrival, he was t with Hazel Langley’s demand for separation, making him feel like a fool. He gritted his teeth and said, "What if I did take it seriously?"

Hazel Langley gasped for air, her eyes stinging with tears.

She almost couldn’t hold back from crying.

Years of infatuation received a response; he said he was serious, as if reciprocating her feelings, confirming he liked her too.

But she couldn’t, she couldn’t let Jasper Faulkner die.

She wanted Jasper Faulkner to live well.

Hazel Langley forcefully suppressed her tears, her hand beside her clenched tightly, her nails nearly piercing her skin.

"Jasper Faulkner, you’re serious, but I’m not. You should know what the entertainnt industry is like, right? That’s how the child ca about; even if you know, you still don’t mind?"

Hazel Langley, almost self-destructively, threw herself into the mire, trying to make Jasper Faulkner disgusted with her.

Jasper Faulkner frowned, based on his understanding of Hazel Langley during this period, he felt she was not like those in the entertainnt circle who would do anything to climb up.

Could it be that she said those words just to separate from him?

He stood up, eyes deep as he looked at Hazel Langley and asked, "Are you sure you want to break up with ?"

"Yes, I’m sure, please leave."

Jasper Faulkner’s face fell, and he stepped away.

After the door closed, Hazel Langley collapsed on the ground; she couldn’t hold back and covered her face, crying.

Tears slipped through her fingers, and heart-wrenching sobs spilled out.

The phone on the coffee table chid with a ssage, a short line reflected on the screen.

"You did well."
