Old Master Faulkner was speechless. It was indeed because the Jennings and Hawthorne families were backing Eleanor Sterling that he agreed to let her be with Alaric Faulkner.
If she had no connection to either family, she would be of no help to Alaric in the future.
Alaric Faulkner appeared oblivious to Old Master Faulkner’s anger and said softly, "Regardless of whether Eleanor Sterling belongs to the Hawthorne or Jennings family, she is my wife, and I hope you can respect her."
Old Master Faulkner was not soone who wouldn’t listen to reason.
He was initially furious upon learning this news, feeling deceived, but he gradually cald down.
Eleanor Sterling had already given birth to two sons for Alaric Faulkner, a fact that could not be changed. He couldn’t forcibly break them apart and introduce another woman into the picture.
Seeing that Old Master Faulkner had cald down, Alaric Faulkner realized his anger had subsided and gradually curved his lips into a smile.
With everything resolved on the Faulkner family side, it was now up to Eleanor Sterling to manage things with the Jennings family.
At the sa ti, Eleanor Sterling visited the Jennings family with her two children.
"Eleanor, you’ve co back?" Mrs. Jennings greeted her warmly.
"Great-grandmother, we’re here." Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner erged from behind Eleanor Sterling.
Seeing the two children, Mrs. Jennings was naturally delighted.
"Little Estelle, Little Caleb, you ca too? Great-grandmother missed you. Don’t just stand outside; co on in."
Eleanor Sterling gave them a look.
The two little ones already knew Eleanor Sterling was there to confess, so they naturally did their best to help her.
After entering, Estelle Sterling handed Mrs. Jennings a box of top-quality bird’s nest. "Great-grandmother, this is a gift from Mommy."
"You shouldn’t have brought gifts just by coming." Mrs. Jennings had a broad smile as she accepted it.
They all entered the living room together.
Upon hearing that Eleanor Sterling and the kids had arrived, Jonathan Jennings ca down from upstairs, and upon seeing Eleanor, he greeted her with a kindly smile, "Eleanor, you’re here."
Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner sat on either side of Jonathan Jennings, one on his left, the other on his right.
"Great-grandfather, have you been well recently?"
Jonathan Jennings was extrely fond of his two grandchildren, and they were excellent at playing chess, being the only ones besides Alaric Faulkner who could match him.
Jonathan Jennings would never admit that he wasn’t as good as the two children.
Hmph, they’re just evenly matched.
"Thank you for your concern. I’m very healthy these days and can still go for a run every morning."
Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner exchanged a glance.
If he was in good health, he should be able to withstand a shock.
They gave Eleanor Sterling a look, signaling that she could start now, and if Jonathan Jennings fainted, they would be there to support him.
Eleanor Sterling took a mont to carefully organize her thoughts before speaking, "Grandfather, Grandmother, I have sothing I want to discuss with you."
Both squinted their eyes, "Are you referring to that recently exposed fabricated news? Eleanor, don’t worry; we’re not concerned about it at all."
Seeing their unconditional trust, Eleanor Sterling felt even more guilty, realizing she should never have hidden things from them in the first place, and wishing she wasn’t in such a difficult situation now.
With a solemn expression, Eleanor Sterling looked at them and said, "Grandfather, Grandmother, I have sothing to tell you."
She took out the paternity test she had done earlier from her bag and handed it to them.
"Previously, I took samples from you to conduct a test, along with Warren Hawthorne’s, and it’s confird that I have no blood relation with any of you."
