Eleanor Sterling held her breath, nervously clutching Alaric Faulkner’s hand, afraid she might miss sothing.

"Hello, Sally, the paternity test results are in. You have no blood relation to the Jennings Family."

With a loud crash, Eleanor Sterling felt as if she were struck by lightning, her mind buzzing.

She... she’s not a child of the Jennings Family?

She had so much love and admiration for her doting grandparents, but now she heard they had no blood relation to her.

This blow was too enormous; she couldn’t accept it at all.

Seeing Eleanor Sterling swaying as if she were about to collapse, Alaric Faulkner stepped forward and held her in his arms, asking, "Are you sure there’s no mistake with the results?"

"Absolutely, we’ve conducted the test several tis."

Eleanor Sterling inhaled deeply, closed her eyes, suppressing the emotions in her heart. She asked, "So, I have no relation to Warren Hawthorne either?"

"That’s right, the test shows you have no relation to Warren Hawthorne or the Jennings Family."

Eleanor Sterling’s face fell.

The truth was out—she was not Jeanette Jennings’s daughter.

Alaric Faulkner hung up the call, noticing Eleanor Sterling’s low spirits. Her entire being seed to lose its vitality, so he quickly consoled her.

"If you indeed wish to find your biological father, then I will help you look."

Eleanor Sterling stepped forward, wrapping her arms around his waist and burying her head in his chest. She shook her head, saying, "No, I like the Jennings Family. I just feel that if I’m not their child, they won’t treat as well in the future."

But Eleanor Sterling had no plans to conceal this news.

She wasn’t a selfish or self-serving person.

Even though this matter could be buried in her heart forever, as long as she didn’t speak of it, no one would know, and the Jennings Family would still treat her as their granddaughter.

But Eleanor Sterling couldn’t overco the barrier in her heart.

Alaric Faulkner tightened his arms, resting his head against her hair, and said, "It’s okay. If the Jennings Family ignores you because of this, you still have , the Faulkner Family, Estelle, and Caleb..."

Upon hearing this, Eleanor Sterling’s mood lifted considerably.

Yes, she still had so many people.

Seeing her smile, Alaric Faulkner said, "Actually, if you want to know what’s going on, you can go ask soone."

Eleanor Sterling imdiately knew who he was referring to.

Rosalie Ray!

She and George Sterling exposed each other at the banquet, so she must know the mystery of her birth.

Eleanor Sterling nodded, "Perhaps not only Rosalie Ray, but also George Sterling. Only the two of them know what’s truly going on with my birth."

Was she picked up off the streets?

Alaric Faulkner said, "If you want to continue investigating, I will accompany you. If you don’t want to pursue it further, we can leave it be."

Eleanor Sterling shook her head, her gaze incredibly firm, "No, I want to continue. The result may not be what I hoped for, but I want to know."

"Then I’ll go with you to Veridia City to get to the bottom of this matter. As for the Jennings Family, you can inform them once everything is clear."

Eleanor Sterling felt Alaric Faulkner’s advice made sense. She sighed softly, "Okay, I’ll listen to you."

Fortunately, Alaric Faulkner was there; otherwise, she feared she wouldn’t have had the courage to continue.

Knowing soone had her back made her less susceptible to hurt, no matter the outco.

Eleanor Sterling instructed Estelle Sterling and Caleb Faulkner to look after Moira Ray before heading to Veridia City with Alaric Faulkner.

She had been away for a long ti, and now returning felt like an other-worldly experience.

The two of them headed straight to The Sterling Family.

George Sterling was montarily taken aback when he saw Eleanor Sterling at his door.

After all, since Eleanor Sterling’s identity had been exposed last ti, it seed they no longer had a relationship.
