On the airplane, Eleanor Sterling was restless with worry, wishing she could fly to Yvette Ray’s side imdiately.
Alaric Faulkner embraced her, comforting, "Eleanor, don’t worry. Ethan Finch just sent a ssage; he’s already gotten Yvette Ray out."
"How can I not worry? Yvette Ray just cried and told she lost the baby. She must have conceived to save Moira Ray, and now... she must be so hopeless."
"Don’t think too much. Let’s go over first, and we’ll talk about everything once we’re there."
Anyway, Yvette Ray had already left The Keating Family, no longer by Ronan Keating’s side, which gave Eleanor so peace of mind.
She surrendered all her weight to Alaric Faulkner, leaning into his embrace.
A mont later, she sighed softly, "I find that facing problems, having soone to discuss them with seems to make everything solvable."
Alaric Faulkner’s thin lips curved slightly as he held her tightly, smiling, "Realize my worth now?"
"You’ve always been great."
...
In the hospital.
Yvette Ray opened her eyes, staring at the snow-white ceiling, sowhat disoriented.
"You’re awake." A deep voice ca from beside her, and Yvette turned to look.
It was an unfamiliar man; she did not know him.
"Who are you?"
Ethan Finch wore gold-rimd glasses, giving him a sowhat elegant and gentle appearance, with a scholarly and handso look that made him easily approachable.
He smiled slightly and said, "My na is Ethan Finch. I’m a subordinate of President Faulkner, ordered to rescue you."
Yvette nodded, suddenly rembering sothing, and reached towards her belly.
Seeing her action, Ethan Finch said in a deep voice, "You’ve had a miscarriage. Rest well."
Yvette was struck as if by a bolt from the blue; her face turned ashen.
It’s gone; Moira Ray’s hope was completely gone!
She covered her face and began to sob...
Ethan Finch looked at the fragile and vulnerable woman on the hospital bed, sighed softly, and did not leave, simply staying by her side silently.
Earlier, he received the order and used Alaric Faulkner’s identity to smoothly enter The Keating Family.
Then he found Yvette Ray in Ronan Keating’s villa; she was lying motionless in the living room with a trail of winding blood beneath her, looking sowhat terrifying.
He didn’t know what had happened to Yvette Ray, only that she was severely injured.
Yvette cried herself to sleep, and Ethan Finch approached to cover her with a blanket.
His movent woke Yvette.
Due to extre insecurity, she was very fragile and sensitive, waking to the slightest movent.
Ethan Finch withdrew his hand, warmly smiled, and said softly, "Sleep, recuperate your body for the future."
Yvette stared at him for a while before suddenly asking, "Feng..."
She thought for a bit but couldn’t quite recall his na.
"My na is Ethan Finch."
Yvette didn’t care much and nodded, saying, "Mr. Ethan Finch, do you have a girlfriend?"
Ethan Finch shook his head, answering truthfully, "Working in experints, buried in the lab all day, no ti to date a girlfriend."
Upon hearing this, Yvette spoke again, "I’d like to ask you for a favor. I could repay you with money in the future or by any ans necessary."
"What favor? As long as it’s within my capability, I will surely help you."
Ethan Finch felt Yvette Ray was a strong and stubborn girl; although she was clearly very sad and upset, she showed no self-pity or resentnt, making one feel sympathetic.
Yvette’s eyes were cold, and she slowly expressed her request.
Ethan Finch hesitated for a mont, then nodded in agreent.
Just as they finished speaking, the door suddenly swung open, and Ronan Keating rushed in urgently.
Seeing Yvette Ray lying on the hospital bed, he seed to breathe a sigh of relief, "Yvette Ray, why didn’t you tell you were hurt?"
