Eleanor Sterling handed the phone back to Stella Hawthorne and said, "Stella, you don’t need to worry. Things will turn around by then."

Stella was startled and imdiately realized sothing. She exclaid, "Eleanor, could it be that the online comnts are true? President Faulkner and Faye Sterling’s certificate is fake?"

Eleanor Sterling curved her lips into a smile, pressed her index finger to her lips, indicating her not to tell, and then nodded gently.

Stella’s previous worries vanished, replaced with a mix of surprise and joy.

That’s great! It turns out it’s fake, so she doesn’t have to worry about Eleanor at all.

But... why would Alaric Faulkner do such a thing?

Stella couldn’t figure out his reasons, nor did she know if he was retaliating against Faye Sterling.

Eleanor stood up, took her phone, and walked to the balcony to call Alaric Faulkner.

The call connected quickly.

"Mrs. Faulkner, missing ?"

Eleanor laughed and teased, "No, I just saw that President Faulkner officially registered with Faye Sterling, so I wanted to congratulate you."

At that ti, Alaric Faulkner was working.

He stood up from the sofa, walked to the desk, leaned against it, and said aningfully, "I’m coming to find you now so you can ’congratulate’ properly in person."

Hearing Alaric’s mischievous tone, Eleanor feared he might really co to find her and dared not tease him any further.

She restrained her smile and asked, "Who is Jack?"

"If I said that was , would you be jealous?"

"No." Eleanor responded calmly.

Because she knew the person listed as Alaric Faulkner’s spouse was her, she had nothing to fear and wouldn’t be jealous.

Jack definitely wasn’t Alaric Faulkner.

Hearing Eleanor say that, Alaric felt a bit disappointed. He thought he could make her care about him a little more.

Unexpectedly, she was too composed.

Eleanor asked, "Quickly, who is Jack?"

Alaric Faulkner sneered and let out a cold hum, "He’s the head of the red-light district in K country, very skilled in handling won. Being his woman would be very happy."

Upon hearing this, Eleanor was speechless.

Alaric Faulkner was really ruthless.

She had always said Alaric was a madman. Getting involved with him surely wouldn’t end well.

Eleanor huffed, "President Faulkner sure is ruthless, making people avoid him like the plague."

True to his nickna of Hades, Alaric Faulkner could be cold-blooded and heartless; she could already imagine Faye Sterling’s miserable end.

Alaric smirked slightly, his tone softened as he said warmly, "Eleanor, I would never use these ans against you."

"Can I trust you?" Eleanor snorted coldly.

Alaric returned to his chair, leaned back lazily, with a hint of helplessness and indulgence on his face, "In this world, I am the only one you can trust."

At this mont, Alaric could imagine Eleanor huffing and questioning like a little cat ready to scratch him with its claws.

He really wanted to go find her imdiately, hold her in his arms, and kiss her thoroughly.

"Can I ask you for a favor?" Eleanor suddenly asked, pulling him back from his thoughts.

"Hmm, go ahead."

"Help look into Yvette Ray’s past; I can’t find anything here."

They had temporarily left K country because of Faye Sterling, waiting for Ronan Keating to clear up that matter, which seed to be taking indefinitely long.

Now Yvette Ray was still being held captive by him, and Eleanor thought it would be better to throw the evidence in his face directly, to make him deeply regret it.

But her abilities were limited, so she had to ask Alaric for help.

Alaric chuckled lightly and said in a haunting tone, "You can ask for my help, but what are you planning to give in return? I’m easily satisfied; just give you."

Eleanor rolled her eyes; give him an inch, and he’d take a mile?

Did he think she had no way to deal with him?

She replied nonchalantly, "Oh, then forget it, I’ll go to Silas Hawthorne."

Alaric’s handso face instantly darkened, and he ground his teeth, "Ten minutes, I’ll be at the dical school. Let’s go to my private villa and talk about this help properly!"

"Wait, I’m not going to him anymore." Eleanor panicked and quickly changed her tune.

Hearing Eleanor back down imdiately, Alaric’s joyful laughter bubbled from his throat.

Eleanor sighed; indeed, she still couldn’t outsmart Alaric Faulkner.
