Aunt Jade’s eyes could no longer see; she tightly grasped Eleanor Sterling’s hand, tears of excitent streaming down her face.
"Miss, is that you?"
Holding Aunt Jade’s skeletal hand, Eleanor felt an overwhelming sadness; Aunt Jade hadn’t been living well all these years.
After her mother passed away, Aunt Jade had cared for her like a mother, and Eleanor had unique feelings for her.
Faye Sterling watched the two embracing and curled her red lips into a cold, sinister smile.
Soon Eleanor would be at her rcy, and she would surely reclaim everything!
She silently exited the basent.
Eleanor’s entire focus was on Aunt Jade, completely unaware of Faye.
She held Aunt Jade’s hand tightly and resolutely said, "Aunt Jade, I will definitely take you away."
"Miss, you should stay away from The Sterling Family; this is not a place you should be," Aunt Jade said tremulously, and she seed so anxious that she coughed twice heavily.
Eleanor furrowed her brows and asked, "Aunt Jade, was it Rosalie Ray who killed my mother?"
Aunt Jade trembled at these words, seemingly wanting to say sothing but holding back out of caution.
Seeing her reaction, Eleanor’s eyes darkened further; even if Rosalie Ray didn’t directly cause her mother’s death, it was undoubtedly connected to her.
Over the years, she had investigated in secret, but found nothing.
What exactly happened to her mother?
Aunt Jade’s coughing intensified, and as Eleanor anxiously prepared to examine her carefully, she suddenly sensed sothing was amiss.
The strength was gradually leaving her body, her legs growing weaker and weaker.
Eleanor’s eyes turned cold abruptly, a chill erupting from her gaze.
Rosalie Ray and Faye Sterling had made their move against her.
Since coming in, she hadn’t touched anything and had been very cautious not to eat anything.
Except for Aunt Jade...
So they used Aunt Jade as bait, poisoning her to trap her!
Aunt Jade lay back on the bed weakly, feebly saying, "Miss, I feel like I have no strength left, I can’t even sit up."
Eleanor felt slightly relieved; it appeared to be sothing that drained her strength and nothing else.
She opened her bag and took out a silver needle, pricking it into her own body.
The sensation of weakness eased sowhat, and Eleanor forced herself to lean against the side of the bed.
Aunt Jade had already fallen asleep on the bed; she took her wrist to check it, finding nothing seriously wrong.
It seed sothing was on Aunt Jade’s clothes, as her symptoms weren’t as severe as Eleanor’s.
Looking outside, Eleanor realized at so point the basent door had been shut.
The effect of the silver needle seed to be wearing off; she felt her limbs growing weaker and retrieved her phone, but there was no signal.
Eleanor let out a bitter smile.
It seed today was bound to be troubleso.
Rosalie Ray waited outside the basent for Faye Sterling.
Seeing Faye erge, she imdiately asked, "How is it? Did that bitch go in?"
Faye sneered, "Of course, she even hugged that old woman. Those drugs we released will surely take her down."
A hint of joy flashed across Rosalie Ray’s face.
She laughed happily, "Wonderful, the drug will completely evaporate in five minutes. Luckily, she fell for it; that bitch is now at our rcy."
At that mont, a servant approached and said, "Madam, Miss, the master has arrived."
Faye’s eyebrows twitched in confusion, "Why is Alaric here?"
Rosalie’s eyes darted, "Could it be that his anger has subsided, so he’s co for you?"
A trace of joy flashed across Faye’s face, and she asked excitedly, "Really?"
"Never mind, let’s go and see."
"What about Eleanor?" Faye felt a bit uneasy.
Rosalie snorted coldly, "Lock her in the basent for now, she won’t escape anyti soon. Does she really think she can slip out of our grasp?"
