Eleanor Sterling ca back with bags in hand, and Alaric Faulkner naturally took them from her, carrying them to the kitchen and thoughtfully handing her a glass of water.

After drinking it, Eleanor rolled up her sleeves and headed into the kitchen.

"You should go sit outside, I’ll handle it."

Alaric, thoughtfully remarked, "Letting you do all the work alone wouldn’t be very gentlemanly of ."

Eleanor hesitated for a mont, then finally said, "Alright then, you wash those and cut the vegetables; I’ll do the cooking."

She quickly assigned the tasks, and the two of them got busy dividing the work.

Eleanor secretly glanced at Alaric’s profile; he was focused on washing the vegetables, standing tall in his loungewear.

He looked less imposing than usual, his deanor softer and more relaxed, every inch exuding charm.

That strange feeling in her heart welled up again.

She now felt that they had a distinct newlywed vibe...

After a bout of busyness, the two of them collaborated to prepare a table full of dishes.

Eleanor felt quite satisfied, pulling out her phone to take a few photos, and then sent them to Hazel Langley after so thought.

A reply ca quickly from Hazel.

Hazel Langley: "Oh... what’s going on!"

Eleanor felt a twitch in her brow, "What? What do you an, what’s going on? I just wanted to show you the al I worked so hard to make."

Hazel sent over a series of emojis, "Two sets of tableware, Eleanor Sterling, are you having a candlelight dinner with a man?"

Seeing this ssage, Eleanor felt like she was going to faint.

"It’s noon right now!"

"Oh, then it’s a candlelit lunch. I see the wine. You guys aren’t planning on drinking, are you?

After drinking... oh dear! Make sure to protect yourself, don’t end up giving a godson again."

Eleanor looked up at the table and only then noticed that at so point, there had appeared a bottle of wine, already uncorked.

She secretly griped to herself, pfft... she wasn’t worried, Alaric wasn’t going to do anything.

Last ti, despite things going that far, he managed to hold back and not touch her. What was there to be afraid of now!

Hazel’s ssages kept coming through.

"Let guess, who’s the mystery man? Could it be our President Faulkner? Did he chase you all the way to Aethelgard? Are you two planning on sparks flying..."

Recalling that scene, Eleanor’s face suddenly flushed red.

"Goodbye."

She directly locked her phone screen.

Originally, Eleanor hadn’t thought much about it, only wanting to thank Alaric, but with Hazel’s comnts,

now everything felt incredibly suggestive.

Gosh! Why did she even send those photos? Now looking at each dish on the table, there seed to be an odd feeling emanating from them.

Alaric’s deep gaze lingered on Eleanor, smiling as he asked, "Why is your face so red?"

Eleanor coughed lightly at his question, "The kitchen was just too hot while cooking."

Having said that, she nervously fanned herself with her hand.

Alaric chuckled softly, as if he saw right through her but chose not to call her out on it.

"Then I’ll turn the AC down a bit."

He got up to grab the remote, and Eleanor exhaled heavily, needing to calm herself down.

Alaric returned to his seat.

Eleanor asked, "Do you want to drink so wine?"

Alaric picked up a wine glass, placing one of them in front of Eleanor.

He smiled subtly, "Soone told that after a little wine..."

Deliberately pausing, Alaric just looked at Eleanor, his eyes deep and unfathomable, impossible to read his emotions.

Eleanor’s face blushed furiously, uncertain if Hazel’s words were influencing her.

At that mont, the words that popped into her mind were...

Drunk, post, chaos, intimate!
