Eleanor Sterling licked her lips, feeling extraordinarily parched and breathing heavily in the stifling heat.

"I seem to be a bit unwell, perhaps it’s because I got agitated just now."

She found an excuse to justify her physical abnormalities, without suspecting there might be other reasons.

Hazel Langley looked a bit worried and quickly said, "Faye Sterling has already left, let help you downstairs to rest first."

"Alright." Eleanor Sterling nodded.

The two of them went down together, while the reporters eager to question were blocked by Alaric Faulkner’s people.

He saw Eleanor Sterling feeling unwell and wanted to accompany her, but recalled he still had an unresolved matter, so he stayed behind.

Since Eleanor had Hazel with her, nothing major would happen, and he could check on her discomfort after handling his business.

Elijah Hayes, spotting the reporters, craned his neck to watch Eleanor Sterling’s retreating figure.

Unable to resist, he spoke up, "Regarding Eleanor Sterling’s son that you ntioned earlier, I have sothing to say."

The reporters, still upset, instantly perked up like they’d been rejuvenated.

Elijah Hayes gestured toward the rear.

At the entrance, two n in suits brought in a woman.

It was indeed President Warren’s wife, Mrs. Lian.

Soone with sharp eyes recognized her and exclaid, "Isn’t that Mrs. Warren? Why is she here?"

Everyone hurried to look over.

"It really is Mrs. Warren!"

This reminded the journalists of the issue about Eleanor Sterling’s son’s identity that had been revealed earlier.

Interrupted by Faye’s matter, they had almost forgotten.

Soone asked, "So, what was the story with the identification of Eleanor Sterling’s son?"

"Right, we forgot to ask due to Faye’s interruption. Is Mrs. Warren here to confront Eleanor Sterling?"

"Wow, that would be thrilling. I must keep a close eye. Who would have thought there’d be so much explosive news today?"

...

With this speculation, the reporters imdiately surrounded Mrs. Warren for an interview.

"Mrs. Warren, are you here today to confront Eleanor Sterling?"

"Is it true that Eleanor Sterling beca your husband’s mistress? Is her son President Warren’s?"

"When Eleanor Sterling left Veridia City back then, was it because you went against her?"

...

A barrage of sharp questions ensued, overwhelming the scene.

Mrs. Warren addressed the dia, "Dear dia friends, I received a notification and ca here specifically to clarify the matter between Eleanor Sterling and myself."

Everyone eagerly awaited, watching her for the next part.

"My husband has no relationship whatsoever with Eleanor Sterling, and she has never t my husband, nor does she have any ties with him.

Eleanor Sterling’s child is not my husband’s; as to whose child it is, I think you should ask Eleanor Sterling yourself."

After two previous shocks, people around were no longer surprised by such small matters.

Yet, Mrs. Warren’s clarification still left them sowhat astonished.

"What? Eleanor Sterling’s child isn’t President Warren’s?"

"Whose child is it then?"

Unfortunately, nobody answered this question.

Alaric Faulkner observed coldly from the back, having arranged for Mrs. Warren’s appearance through Elijah to clarify Estelle Sterling’s situation.

No way he would allow another man to claim his woman’s son as their own.

While the reporters remained composed, the livestream viewers were buzzing with chatter.

"No way, another twist? Eleanor Sterling’s kid isn’t President Warren’s?"

"Today’s livestream is way too thrilling!"

"Speaking of which, isn’t it strange how certain they were her son was President Warren’s?"

...

In an upstairs room.

Hazel Langley helped Eleanor Sterling in, asking, "Eleanor, are you okay? Should I call a doctor for you?"

Eleanor Sterling shook her head, "No need, I’m feeling much better now."

"Alright then, rest for a bit. If anything cos up, call . I’ll go outside to see what’s happening. I feel like it isn’t over yet."

"Okay, you go ahead."

Seeing that aside from Eleanor’s unusually flushed appearance she was alright, Hazel felt assured and left.

In the hallway, Jasper Faulkner’s muscles were taut from intense restraint, twitching slightly.

He hadn’t drunk much at tonight’s celebration, yet he was affected.

The sensation was identical to seven years ago.

Since then, he had been cautious, avoiding drinks of uncertain origin or those out of sight for more than five minutes.

Yet, no matter how careful, he still fell into a trap.

Earlier, he could endure in the banquet hall, but the discomfort grew. He couldn’t bear to hold on until reaching a hospital.

Now, he had to find a room to stay in and call an assistant for assistance.

Jasper Faulkner walked unsteadily.

A woman followed him, maintaining so distance.

Serena Quincy gazed excitedly at Jasper’s tall figure.

Throughout the banquet, she had been eager to chat with him but never found an opportunity; now, she finally caught him alone.

Jasper appeared drunk.

Many things happen after drinking, making it her chance.

If she could use this to climb up, having the Faulkner Family’s backing, she’d never be suppressed in the entertainnt industry again.

Faulkner Entertainnt was the industry’s leader, and all the resources would be at her disposal then.

The more Serena thought, the more excited she got, her eyes fixed on Jasper, failing to notice Hazel Langley behind her.

After exiting the room, Hazel had planned to head to the banquet hall.

Seeing Serena acting furtively, her eyes flashed with curiosity.

Following quietly, she was surprised to spot Jasper ahead.

Imdiately, Hazel realized Serena’s intentions.

Many in the entertainnt industry disregarded dignity in wanting to connect with wealthy families. Despite being the second son, Jasper’s Faulkner identity attracted many won.

Soone like Serena wouldn’t miss such a chance.

Hazel bit her lip; she had to stop Serena, not wishing for any ties between her and Jasper, from any perspective.

Serena, seeing Jasper turning ahead to enter a room, quickened her pace to approach him, only to be bumped hard by soone.

"Hey, watch where you’re walking!"

Hazel’s proactive voice ca.

Serena rubbed her shoulder, about to leave, but was grabbed by Hazel.

"Serena Quincy? You’re not leaving after bumping into ."

Realizing it was her rival, Hazel, and the one she always wanted to surpass, Serena was taken aback.

"Let go of !" Serena frowned.

She needed to catch up to Jasper; linking with him would eventually allow her to surpass Hazel, eliminating her need to bear the rival’s na.

"Apologize." Hazel held her firmly.

Serena couldn’t break free, reluctantly apologizing, "I’m sorry."

Hazel glanced back, relieved to see Jasper gone, releasing Serena only then.

"Be more careful next ti."

Finishing, she turned and left. Serena hurried to find Jasper, only to discover him missing.

Damn Hazel!

Clenching her fists, she set off to search.
