Caleb Faulkner searched high and low at the banquet before he finally found Alaric Faulkner.
At that mont, Alaric was planning to find Eleanor Sterling, but Caleb intercepted him.
"Daddy."
Alaric glanced down at his son and said, "Why are you here? Don’t run off, go play with Little Star."
Caleb handed over his wine glass and said, "Okay, I’ll go find Little Star then."
Alaric took the wine glass and watched Caleb’s running figure, his eyes darkening.
If only Caleb weren’t born of Faye Sterling, how wonderful that would be.
The truth is, the reason Eleanor resists him is because of Caleb, but unfortunately, blood ties cannot be changed.
Who would have thought that seven years ago, he walked into a trap and accidentally got involved with Faye, leading to this son.
It looks like he’ll have to continue steadily breaking through that woman’s psychological defenses, making her fall in love with him.
He lifted his gaze only to find that in that brief delay, Eleanor Sterling was already gone from her previous position.
Alaric Faulkner started walking, just about to leave when Jasper Faulkner suddenly approached.
"Brother."
The fact that Eleanor Sterling had actively invited him to the banquet tonight made Jasper Faulkner extrely uneasy.
Initially, he thought Eleanor was just a fleeting fancy for Alaric, after all, Faye Sterling was the one who bore him a son.
But seeing tonight’s support from the stars, he realized it wasn’t that simple.
The last ti Alaric said he was serious about Eleanor, it was true.
Thinking it over, Jasper felt it necessary to state his position in front of Alaric.
Alaric raised his head, his expression cold as he looked at him, "What’s the matter?"
"Brother, I need to prove my innocence!" Jasper weakly said, "I swear, I have absolutely no connection with Eldest Miss Sterling."
Upon hearing this, Alaric Faulkner’s brows furrowed; he naturally knew Jasper wasn’t involved with Eleanor.
The key issue is Eleanor has an interest in Jasper.
That woman brings up Jasper constantly, repeatedly asking him to bring Jasper over.
Her enthusiasm for Jasper compared to her indifference towards him was starkly apparent, making him intensely jealous.
Alaric’s eyes flashed a sharp glint, his voice carrying a warning: "Stay away from her in the future."
Crushed by Alaric’s icy aura, Jasper shrank his neck in fear.
"Okay, okay, I promise to keep a distance from her and not let her approach at all."
Upon hearing Jasper’s promise, Alaric’s mood improved, and he handed him the wine glass he held.
"Alright, I need to attend to sothing."
Jasper watched Alaric’s departing figure, breathing a sigh of relief.
Only by voluntarily confessing could he escape a calamity.
He was really having a hard ti.
Jasper downed the cocktail in his hand.
Eleanor Sterling searched around until she finally spotted Jasper Faulkner’s figure and walked over.
Unexpectedly, Jasper, with sharp eyes, saw Eleanor walking towards him first.
Having just been admonished, Jasper showed a look of panic and quickly took several steps back, as though Eleanor was sothing terrifying.
Eleanor: "???"
Jasper’s face twitched, "Eldest Miss Sterling, stay away from ."
Upon hearing Jasper’s words, Eleanor felt a bit speechless.
Could it be that he discovered she wanted to take a sample from him?
This possibility seed rather low.
So why was he now avoiding her like she was a plague?
"Oh, Eldest Miss Sterling rushing to throw herself at a man?" A cold voice ca from the side.
