Alaric Faulkner didn’t care about Micah Moss’s expression and just picked up his chopsticks and started eating.

Eleanor Sterling cleared her throat, intentionally trying to ease the awkwardness, and asked, "Micah, is there sothing you needed to talk to about?"

Micah looked up at Eleanor, "I wanted to discuss the arrangents for the press conference with you."

Eleanor nodded, "Alright, let’s talk about it in detail later."

Alaric’s eyes darkened, and he suddenly interjected, "I want to eat stuffed duck tomorrow."

The conversation between the two was interrupted, and Eleanor glared at him.

"Eat, eat, eat."

Alaric said aningfully, "Oh, can’t eat here? Then I’ll go sowhere else to eat."

His ’sowhere else’ clearly ant going to find Eleanor with his injured body.

Betting that she would soften and compromise.

Eleanor clenched her fists, taking several deep breaths.

Endure it, he’s a lifesaver.

"Fine, stuffed duck it is!" she said through gritted teeth.

Micah originally wanted to discuss company matters with Eleanor, but Alaric’s interruption left him at a loss for words.

The focus seed to have shifted to Alaric and Eleanor, leaving him feeling like an outsider.

Estelle Sterling looked at Micah with sympathy.

He said Micah wasn’t a match for Eleanor. Hades hadn’t even played his trump card, and Micah was already losing ground.

If he really used so strong ones, how could Micah stand his ground?

This ti, Alaric used the ’injured hero’ tactic to stop Eleanor, who had been avoiding him, from hiding any longer.

"Uncle Micah, I have school tomorrow, could you take ho?" Estelle spoke up.

"Alright," Micah said with a faint smile, standing up.

Eleanor intended to leave with them, but Alaric said, "My wound’s opened up, could you go get Dylan Lawson for ?"

This was the second ti, and Eleanor hesitated.

Micah, being considerate, said, "Eleanor, you go ahead. I’ll take Little Star ho. The press conference is still a few days away; I’ll find you when you have ti."

Eleanor watched the silhouette of Micah leading Estelle away, feeling a bit down, and she pursed her lips.

Sigh, she shouldn’t have given Micah hope, only to crush it rcilessly. He would be deeply hurt.

She didn’t plan to be with Alaric, but she also didn’t want to hurt Micah.

"They’ve left," Alaric’s sour voice sounded beside her.

Eleanor turned back, "Didn’t you say your wound split open? If it splits open a few more tis, you might as well leave it gaping without stitches."

Alaric gritted his teeth and said sarcastically, "You’re eting with a man at night."

Eleanor laughed in anger, looking at Alaric, "Aren’t you a man? And I’m eting with you too."

"I’m different."

"How so? Aren’t you human too?"

Alaric smirked shalessly, "I’m your man."

Eleanor’s face darkened, "Say that again, and I’ll leave imdiately. Go find Dylan yourself."

Seeing Eleanor about to leave angrily, Alaric quickly softened his tone to please her, "Okay, I won’t say it, don’t leave."

Eleanor turned back, and Alaric grabbed her, "Didn’t we agree not to leave?"

"I’m going to find Dylan."

Hearing this, Alaric finally let her go.

His thin lips curled into a smile. He knew Eleanor would soften and wouldn’t bear to leave him be.

After Dylan ca over and checked Alaric’s wound, he had a speechless and helpless expression, tempted to give Alaric a beating.

"Alaric, I know you’re brave, but if your wound keeps splitting, are you planning to stay in the hospital for half a year?"

Eleanor coldly laughed on the side, "Tie him to the bed, then he can’t move around."

Alaric: "..."

He ended up like this because of this woman, and now she wants to tie him up.

Truly heartless.
