Faulkner Family’s old house.
Since Mrs. Faulkner has returned, Faye Sterling has been doing her best to please Caleb Faulkner these days.
She’s personally making breakfast, and eagerly serving late-night fruit snacks.
On one hand, she’s doing it for Mrs. Faulkner to see, on the other hand, she’s trying to secure her position, but unfortunately, Caleb doesn’t accept any of it.
"Caleb, Mommy made you dessert, co and taste it to see if it’s good."
Faye Sterling entered the room with dessert in hand.
With a stern face, Caleb Faulkner looked up from his howork at Faye Sterling’s fake smiling face, his brows furrowing involuntarily.
Seeing Caleb’s resistant expression, Faye Sterling feigned confusion and asked softly, "Caleb, what’s wrong? Don’t you like Mommy?"
Her eyes turned cold as she asked, "Is it your aunt who said sothing bad about Mommy?"
Caleb let out a cold snort, as if soone else needed to tell him bad things about Faye Sterling? He could list plenty himself.
His Mommy Eleanor was not the type to speak ill of others behind their backs!
Faye Sterling sighed and said, "Caleb, although you’re still young, and so things are not appropriate to discuss with you, my sister is not a good person.
The child she gave birth to doesn’t even know who the father is, so you should stay away from them. If others find out, it could beco a joke!"
Caleb held back for a mont, then finally pointed to the door, "You can leave now."
Faye Sterling knew she couldn’t rush things; pleasing Caleb Faulkner wasn’t that easy. She left the dessert and said, "Then rember to eat it later, Mommy won’t disturb your howork."
As the door closed, Caleb imdiately jumped off his chair.
Speaking of Estelle Sterling not having a father, he thought of the blood sample he had sent for testing and wondered about the results.
He was about to call Estelle Sterling to ask.
Before he could dial, as if telepathically, Estelle Sterling’s call ca in.
"What’s up? I was just about to look for you."
Estelle Sterling’s voice was unusually serious as he spoke, "Do you have ti? Co over to my place, I have sothing important to tell you, it’s about the two of us."
"Alright, wait for , I’ll be right over."
Caleb Faulkner hung up the phone.
He lied that he needed to go to a tutoring class, and neither Mrs. Faulkner nor Faye Sterling suspected anything, allowing him to leave easily.
Caleb directly had the bodyguard take him to Estelle Sterling’s place, and the bodyguard couldn’t refuse.
Twenty minutes later, the two sat in a room together.
Estelle Sterling looked at Caleb Faulkner with a aningful gaze, scrutinizing him back and forth.
Until Caleb grew impatient, he pouted slightly, expressing mild annoyance, "Why are you looking at like that? I don’t like guys."
Estelle’s face turned dark, rolling his eyes, "Ugh, what nonsense are you thinking! I’m just observing your features!"
Caleb touched his cheek and asked, "What’s with my features?"
"When we matched through the system earlier, I already felt that we look very similar, like real brothers."
Caleb nodded, wasn’t that obvious enough?
Estelle said joyfully, but also with concern, "I didn’t expect we are actually real brothers!"
Caleb’s eyes widened, "Oh my, stop joking with , we’re real brothers? Are you also born from Faye Sterling?"
Estelle’s face darkened, "Get lost! How could I be born from Faye Sterling!"
"Haha, my bad, my mind didn’t catch up for a mont." Caleb chuckled foolishly.
"So I’m actually Eleanor’s son, and Faye Sterling is not my real mom?"
Estelle nodded, "Without a doubt!"
He walked over, putting an arm around Caleb’s shoulders, "Didn’t I ask you to get a blood sample for testing before?
I was worried about altering the data, so I pricked myself a little and sent it too, planning to just swap a sample na and adjust it.
Unexpectedly, it turned out that we are real brothers!"
Caleb was full of shock at the words.
He couldn’t describe how he felt inside, only that an imnse joy swept over his entire being.
He and Estelle Sterling are brothers?
Eleanor is truly his real mom!
The resentnt towards Faye Sterling, combined with the longing for his real mom, caused all of Caleb’s grievances to pour out.
He hugged Estelle tightly, bursting into tears.
"Brother, sob, sob, we are real brothers!"
Estelle patted his back, comforting him, "Okay, okay, calm down."
He was actually quite happy to have gained a brother himself, but there were so things that needed to be clarified.
