At night, Eleanor Sterling returned alone to the Sterling Family’s old residence.
Besides George Sterling, Martin Sterling and Chelsea Sterling were also present. Seeing the whole family waiting for her, a trace of mockery flashed in Eleanor Sterling’s eyes.
She sat down calmly, "Grandfather, did you call back for sothing?"
Old Master Sterling pondered, "I heard there was so misunderstanding between you and Faye?"
"It’s not a misunderstanding." Eleanor Sterling sneered, "She misused my patent for her designs and even sold them publicly..."
Rosalie Ray interrupted her imdiately, her voice filled with anger, "Eleanor Sterling! Faye did this because you deliberately hid your identity!"
Eleanor Sterling looked at her, half smiling, words full of irony.
"Even if I hid my identity, that is my business. Did Faye Sterling not commit those illegal acts?"
Rosalie Ray trembled with anger at her words.
"You also tampered with the process, preventing from bailing her out."
A flicker of surprise crossed Eleanor Sterling’s eyes. When did she tamper with things?
That explains why Faye Sterling hasn’t been released; it turns out she can’t be bailed out.
Considering the Sterling Family’s status and Faye Sterling’s future Mrs. Faulkner status, it seems unlikely, could there be so hidden motives?
Old Master Sterling shot Rosalie Ray a fierce glare, signaling her to shut up. Only then did Rosalie begrudgingly fall silent.
"Eleanor, you know why I called you back. Grandfather hopes you can let Faye go. Although you’re not from the sa mother, you both bear the Sterling na."
Eleanor Sterling looked at Old Master Sterling seriously and said, "Grandfather, since you’ve spoken, I won’t refuse. I can let Faye Sterling go."
Martin Sterling and Chelsea Sterling stayed for dinner, intending to watch George Sterling and Rosalie Ray quarrel with Eleanor, but they didn’t expect Eleanor to agree so readily.
This left them sowhat unsatisfied.
"Eleanor, are you really planning to let Faye go?" Chelsea couldn’t help but ask.
Eleanor Sterling curled her lips, "Even if I didn’t agree, you would find ways to make agree today, so why make trouble for myself?"
Rosalie Ray didn’t expect Eleanor Sterling to be so agreeable; she thought it would take more effort.
Old Master Sterling, however, astutely observed Eleanor Sterling, and asked in a deep voice, "I’m afraid there are conditions you haven’t ntioned? What will it take for you to withdraw the charges against Faye?"
Eleanor Sterling raised her eyebrows, as expected of the old master to see through her intentions.
Upon hearing Old Master Sterling’s words, Rosalie Ray’s expression darkened as she glanced at Eleanor Sterling.
What else does she want?
Eleanor Sterling replied leisurely, "I want one person."
Rosalie Ray was suddenly startled and imdiately said, "No way!"
Seeing Rosalie Ray’s intense reaction, Eleanor Sterling’s eyes mocked; she must be afraid that sothing disadvantageous might be uncovered.
Old Master Sterling frowned, "Who?"
"Aunt Yu."
Eleanor Sterling lowered her gaze and said solemnly, "I want Aunt Yu. Hand her over to , and I’ll withdraw the complaint against Faye Sterling."
Rosalie Ray imdiately retorted, "Eleanor, Aunt Yu is living well with us; I am taking good care of her.
Now that her health is not good, taking her away will only worsen her condition. It’s better for her to stay with the Sterlings."
Watching Rosalie Ray’s earnest nonsense, Eleanor Sterling’s lips curled into a sardonic smile.
She looked at Rosalie Ray, questioning, "Mrs. Sterling, Aunt Yu is soone who served my mother. Why are you keeping her?"
"You! Wasn’t it because back then you were incapable, so I watched over her for you?"
Rosalie Ray, overwheld with sha and anger, gritted her teeth darkly.
Aunt Yu was her leverage over Eleanor Sterling, a card to threaten her with; how could she easily give her away?
Without this old woman, how would she threaten Eleanor Sterling into submission later?
