[Lucy’s POV: ]

There were many obstacles on this battlefield and the biggest one among them, the emperor, was not making any move for so reason.

There was still so ti left for the great battle that the two of us would have, but there should have been sothing that he would have tried.

The epic should not have been enough to surprise him so much that he would not make any move even after two of the Giant creatures had fallen down.

Looking back, there was no resistance from his side at all.

He had not made any move and his six commanders were the sa.

They were only fighting the units that we had sent to assassinate their commanders, but side from that, they were not fighting at all.

There was only our side that was exhausting themselves, and it was eating away at since a while back, not that I had ti to waste.

’The two creatures that have fallen gave more more hard ti than I had expected.’

They were strong and they were difficult opponents from the start.

With the limited powers I possessed and the way I had to be so careful with each of my actions made things even more difficult.

-Boooooooooooooooom!

There was still battles going on all over the battlefield. They were fighting and since I was still recovering, they were blocking the ones who might prove out to be a threat to our forces.

The demons and the berserk youngest one of the divine ssengers was not easy to deal with but in my absence, El sohow took care of the berserk youngest one.

She also dealt with so of the bigger threats like the commanders on the other side and the demons.

The cracks of space-ti would soon close from both sides so we just had to stall for a little bit and now that I was recovered as well, there was no need to wait.

[ "I’m going back in." ]

I was alredy moving when I said that she was also moving onto her main tasks so she didn’t not reply to .

She knew I was fine now and she was still worried about , she was also angry that I got my arm chopped off so she was not going to talk to for a while now. But, she did what she was supposed to do and I’m always thankful for that.

-Swish!

First of all, to deal with the berserk divine ssenger that was using his gravitational skills violently, I first transferred to the area around it where it was rcilessly destroying the demon army.

It should have been bound by the origin contract and should have been unable to attack the army that was on the sa side as him, but since it had gone berserk, it had lost all rationality and its own self... which was aiding him fight off against the restrictions that were pulling it down.

It was still getting weaker but since it was burning its own life force in the process of using its skills, it was soon going to exhaust all that its body possessed and when it ca back to its senses in their original body, it would fall into a deep slumber.

’Six season Birth... the first afternoon of winter.’

To deal with the divine ssenger first, I used the illusion abilities associated with the winter technique and created illusions in the forms of a fog that was only affecting the target, the giant many eyed creature.

It was already enraged and did not possess any reason or mind of its own anymore so there was no way it could have been controlled by logic, but still, the ’berserk’ state was always associated with sothing that was emotional in nature.

The death of the two of its close companions must not have been sothing that this younger one could handle.

It must have been its first ti seeing them die like that, and since it was not familiar with the feelings of loss and suffering, it had lost itself in the strong waves of the emotions.

It was now even stronger than the two were, but at the sa ti, it was not as rational as the two.

It was not calculative in the first place and all that it had was its skills and strengths.

’It was easy to deal with.’

Using the emotions to trigger even intense negative emotions, I showed it the deaths of its companions many more tis, led it to the core of the demon army and, made it clash against the demon Knight that the ghost knight from our side was fighting.

’The ghost knight had swiftly slid away from the scene to not get in the way of the two creatures, so it now had the ti to recover a little and help out around the battlefield.’

They needed help on the fortress as well so it was not going to be easy dealing with all of them here. And, when the ti cos where I have to fight the emperor, I will need this entire battlefield cleared.

But for that we first needed to deal with small things on this battlefield,

-Booooooooooooooom!

When the demon knight was faced with a berserk divine ssenger that had lost all its reasoning and was going against the laws and the origin contract, it could not help but suspect that we had sothing to do with this whole situation.

’It knew dealing with us ca first.’

As Demons, they were more inclined to follow the deals that they have made than the divine ssengers.

The fact that it was able to co to this physical world alone was a big thing and now that it was here alredy, it had the chance to get many tis stronger than it was right now.

This world for the demons was a golden land of opportunities. One of the reasons the lower ranking demons even made contracts with the mortals and gave them their power and turned them into a demonic human was to get stronger than they were.

And to do that, they were always looking out for the opportunity to co directly to this world.

’Eating the humans and mortals of higher grade directly increased the powers of the demons, but since they were always confined to the demonic realm, it wasn’t easy for them to get strong.’

The environnt of the demon world was harsh so there were strong beings in that place already, and to get the higher levels and ascend to the higher orders, one needed to defeat those difficult creatures.

It took a long ti and a lot of ambitions. Sothing that not many demons possessed. Plus, the natural lineage that they were born in played a pivotal factor in their developnt.

They had a upper limit to how much their talents and skills could develop. They could gain as much strengths in the stats as they wanted, but the demon race was bound when it ca to the skills and the abilities.

’The demon knight was surely strong, stronger than the alredy exhosted divine ssenger.’

It knew ignoring it when it had locked him as its target was not possible so it went ahead and dealt with it first.

Since the origin contract was breached one sidedly, he did not have to worry about the restrictions.

It dealt with the creature, even though it knew I was right behind it.

It was keeping an eye on the ghost knight and when it dealt with the creature since it knew there would be ti when one of us would counterattack against it.

It was on guard, but after fight against that creature, it was going to be of no use.

’True six season sword dance.’

Both the ghost knight and I went against it together. The ghost knight dealt the heavy blows and I severed the connection it had with the demon world and this world with the special sword dance technique.

’I was able to cut off their connection and it made them much weaker than they were right now.’

The ghost knight dealt heavy blows even at the cost of its complete energy.

It was a strong force and it dealt with the other things even after being restricted and wounded so, it was easier for to deal with the demon knight as well.

’The skills like the crown skill and the buffs from the other skills helped a lot.’

But, it was still not that easy.

First I lost my arm, and in the fight with the demon, I almost lost my mana circuit.

’The damned demon even used its race skill and was able to get past my defence, the ghost knight, as well as El’s surveillance and deal a direct blow to .’

Fortunately, the blow did not hit, but since it was infused with the demonic energy, it got inside and started corrupting my mana system.

It was hard to even walk for a few monts, but... then, sothing I had not been looking forward to happened.

"You are much better than I had expected."

The emperor was now standing right in front of with his sword in his hand.

"Alas..."

I was gasping on the ground, throwing up blood.

The exhausted body was not moving and the commanders of his army, including the sword saint and the spear saint were facing the ghost knight, holding it back from approaching us.

"You’re too foolish to think you can take care of everything on your own."

The emperor knew I was in a critical condition so he did not wait anymore.

He had his chance.

And he used it to deal another critical blow to ...

"Ahem!!"

A critical blow that almost pushed to the broader of life and death...
