[Lucy’s POV: ]

The battle between the emperor and the crown prince of the Empire of the great Barnacle will be fought on the great barren plains of Fatur.

This land, acquired by the current emperor of the Empire nearly a century ago belonged to the demonic beast and was ruled by a great demon, a being of hell and a being that was more powerful than most foes that the emperor had faced in his lifeti.

He was not a high ranking mber of the demon society since it was only a (Lord) rank in terms of the authority, however, it was a being that could be considered on par with the (Lord) of the Worldline— individuals like the Two of them and the emperor himself.

This battle was scheduled for the following month in these Great Plains that he obtained after a year long war with the demon, and purified it over the following decades.

There were no signs of the demonic presence in this land anymore however, there were still remnants of the past wars wandering through these vast plains.

"We will start the battle at the Dawn in the third Cycle of the Solar clock."

The battle will be fought between two parties over the course of a few days, that might not be limited to given war hours.

"It is one of the basic rules of a war that the battles will only be fought between the third and sixth cycles of the Solar clock, and both sides will stop any and all kinds of attacks in between the remaining cycles.

But, the Worldline doesn’t consider these rules to be concrete."

There are many things limited only to this world, and so of the laws that restrict so of the certain things from happening include these war rules.

People are penalised by the voice or the world for not following these rules... but well, there are always exceptions to that kind of rules.

And, in this case, both the emperor and the two of them were those exceptions.

"We will continue the battle throughout all eight solar cycles and we want all of you to restrain from killing any being unless it’s absolutely necessary."

We weren’t fighting because we wanted to kill the army, we were fighting because we wanted to kill the emperor that was behind all of the atrocities.

’He even killed all those people with rare light attribute affinity just to obtain that forbidden dark power.’

And he didn’t even have any remorse or sympathy for the departed souls.

’He’s a piece of utter shit.’

He was a bastard. A completely irredeemable bastard.

He was better cut into pieces, skinned alive, and burned on the stake.

The world will definitely be a better place without him, that much is going to happen inevitably, however I’m not going to make his death simple or painless now that he has done what he shouldn’t have.

"There are humans, there are criminals, there are bad and there are good.

And then there are individuals like the emperor, utterly evil and unpardonable."

He had the chance to just ascend and live off among the higher beings but he chose to stay in this physical world, ruling over a bunch of individuals that did not even an anything at the end of the day.

He was just a bastard being a bastard, and I don’t even have proper words to describe how much I loathe that scum.

"Well, we won’t have to worry about him after that battle."

I explained to them what we were going to do, what I was going to do in detail.

I told them about how the emperor will be my target and how they will not have to deal with him.

Hearing how I would be talking care of that bastard personally was a surprise to them, but this also put a smile on their faces.

"Lord Black will deal with the emperor personally~?"

"And the description from the voice of the world? We will get to hear that ourselves as well?!"

Half of them were happy while half of them had a stunned look.

I can tell they did not object to this but, so of them were worried about as well.

"Dealing with the emperor all by yourself... won’t that be dangerous?"

Their leader the operator and no.2 of the group that had lead them throughout many battles in our stand was worried how even soone as strong as could deal with the emperor all by myself.

He wasn’t soone that one could just deal with, he was still an absolute with much greater stats and experience than mine.

He was strong and he was dangerous, and thanks to the kind of power that he had obtained recently, he was even more dangerous to deal with.

"The best course of action against soone like him would be a strong assault by many individuals, I understand that logic. But, this is important to ... to us."

Looking at them with a serious look, I shook my head.

"I have to do this. Alone."

Rein didn’t say anything about this either even though they looked at her for her opinion on this matter.

She just continued playing with the familiars as if this entire matter had nothing to do with her... and technically this did not have anything to do with her or any of them, but, everything related to had at least sothing to do with them.

"She knows this is important so please do not worry about the small things.

Aside from the emperor herself, we have other things to take care of as well."

The emperor wasn’t the only person we had to worry about. He was a threat that I’d be dealing with myself.

What they had to worry about was the people that follow the emperor.

"The battle will begin at the third cycle of the morning of designated day with the horns of announcents."

Two armies will stand against one another with their initial formation being a big part deciding the following of the battles.

There are three individuals that people throughout the empire recognise, the three weapon masters of the empire, the people who have achieved superhuman strengths with their dedication and determination.

"The divine sword, the divine spear, and the divine bow. The three will be the primary targets."

If one wanted to deal with those people, they couldn’t just go against them in a one on one battle.

None of us were strong enough to fight them directly without the buffs and support of excellent artifacts.

The stats of those one of a kind geniuses and their experience on the battlefields was so great that even the two of us had lost many tis against them...

"They won’t be easy to deal with, but I believe so of you already has a target they want for themselves in their mind."

Her queen had soone she had to get back at for destroying their entire family.

There was soone her ace had to get back at, soone the King of Clubs had to get back at and even others had so kind fo grudge against soone from tyhis empire.

Though, not all of them were from this empire and had anything to do with the matters related to the empror.

"Well, whatever the case, our participation is inevitable and along with you all, there will be a few more from our side on that battlefield so don’t co fuse the allies and do friendly fire."

They didnt know who was in the other teams so there will b confusion if they cross paths in any ti or in any way but they weren’t going o cross paths as long ass we have calculated.

They will oprate in different locations under different objectives so both the oparties had separate things to deal with.

"Others from our side...?"

"Are there other forces from our side that we don’t know know?"

"I an... this isn’t surprising, right? There should be a few more like us that we don’t know about."

They understood the situation pretty quickly.

They had worked with us for a while so they knew about our contingency plans.

It naturally should be obvious to them that they weren’t the only ones under us. There were more people beside the twelve of them, perhaps many more.

So of them had alredy known there were more forces that were actually under us, and so that no one even knew about— just like them.

’They were smart enough to have understood the kind of individuals we were by now.’

So, the news that they would be working with other individuals didnt surprise them that much.

At least, not all of them.

"Tough lord Blacl... how will we recoganise the allies?"

They knew about the forces that the crown prince will have but aside from him, there was no actual information on who and what kind of beings are going to fight in that battle.

It will beco a battlefield filled with blood and carnage, so they might not be able to tell who is on their side. And it was a genuine concern...

"You don’t have to worry about that."

Every individual affiliated with the Fool’s gambit possessed a special mask designed by El that was connected to Ione another and with a greater magic network that she and Anna handles.

The two of them were the smartest people that could handle sothing like that anyway so there was no point in worrying about they small things.

They will know who the allies are and who the enemies are as long as they are wearing their masks, and it was a simple ting that tyhey had to take care of.

"This battle already has its results."

The death of the emperor and the creation another epic.

That much was the main objective of this little battle and at the end of it, we will have our point of continuation.

"So, let’s talk about sothing better."

She was still not talking even though we were done with the important talk. I knew I will have to do sothing about this as soon as we get out of here.

But it could wait.

Dealing with her mood wasn’t the priority.
