[Lucy’s POV: ]

Both of us died to both of the creatures that we were fighting and it was an obvious outco from any logical angle.

Both of them had strengths that we lacked and they were proficient with what they were doing. They knew all that we have used until now, and they possessed as much knowledge about our powers as we do.

They were strong and had unreasonable advantages over the situation.

Just the fact that we lasted against them for more than twelve minutes was a big deal and it was at least worthy of near full marks.

"Haaa..."

She and I used tricks that we had not used until now, a few tricks only though, but we did use things that we had not until now.

We went with the dodge-dodge-attack-dodge pattern and even though only one of the attacks out of ten connected with the actual creatures, since they could not recover their healths under the test rules, this dealt a good deal of damage to the creatures.

They were strong and undeniably resilient to many of the attacks but we knew our own strengths and weaknesses better than so copycats that hadn’t even trained for a hundred years like us.

’They were frauds at the end of the day, so even though they possessed all that strengths, all of our skills, and all of our knowledge, they weren’t Us.’

They were just so dumb creatures that happened to be so stupid that they took twelve whole minutes to deal with two helpless children that were nothing more than normal human childrens in that state.

"I don’t like this either, El. But it is what it is."

She wasn’t saying anything but I knew how she was feeling through our link.

’She didn’t like losing.’

She had her stats unlike as well so the fact that both of us lost almost at the sa ti wasn’t going well with her.

She was feeling bitter and there was a good chance that she was cutting off all the trees behind her in frustration.

’The feeling of facing sothing that was like but not at the sa ti using sothing that I had created with the years and years of hard work ssed with her head.’

That was the biggest reason she couldn’t last longer than she did.

’She’s dumb.’

She had her stats and that was all that she need to kill that dumb creature that didn’t even use my sword dance in that kind of easy situation.

"Stop it now, will you?"

[ "Shut up! Bastard!" ]

"Haaa..."

The creature had all my stats and all my skills but it did not have as much battle experience as so it failed to recognize the level of the opponent it was facing.

It misjudged El for soone that was only strong and went on with a casual approach that I would have used against a ’weak’ opponent.

It started with normal swordsmanship, used Aura to scare the opponent and then it started using physical skills and integrating them in the attacks when El started coming off as sothing more than it had expected at the start.

But since the creature had alredy started attacking alredy, it wasn’t going to stop at that mont.

It was my clone programd with the techniques and thods that I used so even if it figured out it had fucked up by the third minute, which was also awefully slow, it couldn’t change the approach of the fight.

’She could have won the battle since the mont that dumb doppelgänger decided going with that approach and she knew that as well.’

She did not have her Mana and she also did not possess natural Aura to use against that creature but she was strong on her own, and she had the weapon and all the stats that I did not.

’She had the weapon skills as well.’

There were ten ways that she could have fucked over that dumb creature, but she let the emotions and her anger get the best of her and made many mistakes in her fight.

"You’re dumb."

[ "Of course I’m dumb! How could I do that! Fuck! Fuck fuck fuck! That was so easy man! So easy...! That fucking dumb creature didn’t even use the nature skills! Fuck!" ]

She was cursing herself since she knew what she had done was not sothing that she usually does and that was the natural reaction that the El I know would have after ssing up such a thing.

’She had the chance to brag about how she defeated the perfect version of myself.’

She even had the chance to win against an opponent that was impossible for to beat and that would have been a feat that she would have bragged about for the rest of her life.

’But winning on one side, she couldn’t even cut a finger of that dumb creature.’

She had all the techniques that I had taught her until now. The stats the two of them had was almost the sa as well. There was just a little difference in skills and Mana in both of them.

There was practically nothing that was stopping her but her own self from winning the battle. But, she fucked up.

’She got emotional when she saw the creature using the techniques that were mine, use the kind of aura that was a complete cheap copy of mine, and use his skills, powers and advantages in a way that I never would.’

They might have been the best doppelgängers in the world, the Gods of the doppelgängers for all she cared, but she knew there was only one being in this world that could perfectly copy my sword techniques and use them better than I ever will— the one that taught how to actually wield the sword.

She as the only person in this entire Worldline that could do what I do as well as and since what I do was partly made with her [Sword] as foundation, it wouldn’t take Her more than a few monts to not only copy all my techniques, but recreate them into sothing far better that suited her alone.

’She was the only person I had ever considered as my one true master.’

And this ti, when I et her, I want us to continue from where we had left off.

’There were countless things I wanted to learn from her, hear from her. There were many things that I wanted to tell her as well, and for that, we had to et first.’

I was looking forward to the mont I stand before her in her separate eternal heaven, the mont I tell her who I was... not that it would be necessary.

’She would figure the basic things out the next mont we stand before her.’

That was just how the pinnacle of sword was... a serene, everlasting, blissful eternity.

But that wasn’t the point right now.

"When are you going to stop mourning? We still have two more tests and I see the rest of them getting ready to engage in bigger fights already.

Ti might be flowing slow for us there but I don’t think that’s the sa here.

If you want to continue mourning for your own fuck up, then at lest go in and then do it. What you are doing right now isn’t good."

[ "Do you think I don’t know that?!" ]

"Of course you know that."

She was a pain in the ass when she is like this but there was nothing I can do about it with this damned barrier separating us.

"That’s why... grab the blue card. Let us go in and then cry all you want.

There might even be enemies for you to take care of so kill them to your hearts content."

The outside situation wasn’t looking good.

’Lux might be strong enough to take care of the small fries, but even if all of them get together and perfectly fight against them, there’s no way they will be able to deal with all of them.’

Things will get worse if a high level demon descends in one of the stronger Demonic humans.

’They might die for real...’

And since the headmaster had not shown any sign of interfering with what was going on, the teacher should have figured out he wasn’t going to do anything about this by now.

’The teachers will soon start evacuating the children after taking over the island’s system with what authority they possess.’

And the headmaster will even let them do it. That was just the kind of twisted bastard he was.

[ "Ugh... why do you make so much sense right now?!" ]

"Because I’m right and you know that as well.

Now... on the count of three."

He was waiting for us to finish these tests And then deal with these obstacles on our own.

He was looking at everyone and everything that was going on right now and he was waiting for us to finish these damned tests that he had prepared with all his love and affection.

’He’s a fucking bastard.’

The situation right now was more difficult than I wanted it be and since there was practically no one else in this world that could co here and deal with these demonic human bastards, we were perhaps the only cards that the teachers could rely on... or so the headmaster might have thought.

[{ "Anna, take care of them if you think there’s no other way. Don’t let anyone die... use Plausibly if you have to.

Use everything you have until we are done with this shit." }]

[{ One will do what one can, master. }]

’And that would be enough...’

She was reliable. More than this dumb sister of mine.

[ "Three..." ]

There were two more left.

And, now that we know what we are dealing with... we know the next one isn’t going to be easy either.
