[El’s POV: ]

"Lucy! Don’t just stand there, do sothing!"

She suddenly fell and now her airway was blocked as well.

We had no ti to shove a pipe down her throat so I had to cut her throat a little for the airway to open up, but, that only solved the imdiate problem.

"What’s wrong with her!?"

Everyone else gathered around us instantly and the way the blue blood was still coming out her body, they were afraid she was going to bleed out.

"She was poisoned, obviously!"

She was a witch so it was strange how she was poisoned and how her blood was turning blue.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this. She was a simple person with normal blood even though she was a witch, but this whole matter was pointing at sothing very strange, and whatever kind of poison was doing this, there was a good chance that it was airborne.

"Lucy!"

"Yes! Yes! Stop shouting!"

Even Lucy was stunned for a mont and while I operated on her and stabilised her with whatever thing I could think of, he was calling Anna out for a helping hand.

"What kind of poison was it exactly?!"

"How would I know?!"

Her status window didn’t show anything which was even more strange.

’There should have been sothing in there, sothing that pointed to the position, a poisoned status that could indicate her debuffed state.’

But that wasn’t the case.

Her status window had been clean... at least, it was until a mont ago.

{ "It’s not poison! One has to stop with those potions as well or else one will die!" }

Anna was more useful in this situation than this bastard of mine.

"What do you an?!"

{ "Wait! Cary! Call that one out!" }

-Ooooooooooooong!

She first covered Oak’s entire body with her own Mana and then she used her ti controlling powers to stop whatever was going on with her.

And while she was doing that, as she had asked for with that serious tone, I hurriedly called my useless Dragon.

{ "Cary! Mana! Conceal movents of all of one’s Mana!" }

{ "What?! What the... she will die if I do that!" }

"What do you an by that, Anna!"

{ "Just do it!" }

From what she had asked him to do, I had a sudden idea of what might be going on but if I was right, Oak wasn’t the only one suffering from sothing this strange at the mont... but we had no ti to worry about anyone else.

-Oooooooooooooooong!

Cary blocked her Mana and while he did that, even without Anna saying, I quickly checked the frequency of her Mana and started channelling my own Mana on tha frequency in her body.

{ "Good! One can leave the rest to !" }

Anna didn’t waste even a single mont and quickly used her Mana to create a unique looking spell that looked quite familiar to and cast it on Oak.

"What is going on, brother Lucy!"

"Just calm down and stay here, Nes."

While we were saving the life of soone that was going to join this bastard of mine in the future, Lucy blocked the rest of them and kept them away from where we were.

The Mana density in this cave had suddenly increased by many folds after Oak’s blood started coming out, and if one wasn’t that compatible with a high deciduous Mana, they were certainly going to suffer because of it.

Keeping them away and protecting them in Anna’s shield by absorbing the excess Mana himself was a good tectic, so he was doing a good job with them.

-Ooooooooooooooong!

While on our side, my heart rate was going up with each passing mont.

"Anna..."

{ "One will be alright now, though, one is afraid there are going to be others like her out there." }

Anna was able to stabilise and cure her for the mont but I knew now what she had just done.

"It’s an epidemic..."

It wasn’t sothing that shows up on the status window and it was sothing that was dangerous enough to have put her life at danger.

"We should go back quickly, Lucy. The dorms, the others, perhaps teachers as well... everyone with high Mana sensitivity might be infected with [Blue death] by now."

Oak was the only one among them with the highest Mana density after Cathy and since Cathy was an elf, she also had her Elental spirit Mana to stabilise the excess Mana around her.

’I already have a higher kind of Mana inside so I cannot sense it before but after Anna used that unique combination of purification and stabilisation spells, I knew this was the best explanation for this.’

Oak was fine just earlier but after we ca in this Mana dense place, signs started showing up and though I missed it earlier, she was showing symptoms since earlier.

{ "One does not know how it reached here, however, this epidemic is severe!" }

{ "That’s right! Every planet that has any kind of strain of this disease faces a great threat to their lives and a fatal blow to their entire world!

I’ve seen entire planets getting destroyed because of this one thing! Master! We have to hurry and stop the spread! And tell that headmaster of yours!" }

"Yes, right. Haaa... alright."

This was an ergency.

"Listen up everyone."

And it was a far bigger problem than the midterms we are going to have a week later.

"Listen carefully to-"

{ "There’s no need to involve the rest of them." }

-Thud. Thud. Thud.

All of a sudden, as soon as I had turned back to tell them about the plan that we should follow, I saw all of them fall unconscious to the ground.

And the voice that had spoken to us right before the rest of them fell to the ground was sothing that we recognised instantly.

"Headmaster."

With a sudden burst of light behind , the great great headmaster of our big academy materialised out of thin air.

-Snap.

And as soon as he did, he first snapped his finger and the rest of our dear friends along with my Nessy vanished from the area.

"I sensed it late as well and a few students and class teacher of class C almost lost their lives... though, thanks to the system notifications, I was able to stabilise them."

He crouched down and picked Anna up without Lucy or her own consent.

"However, I cannot use magic like you two can. So, can you please cure them? I’ll make sure you are compensated for your hard work and ti."

He ca out of nowhere, and not only did he abducted our friends, he was selfishly asking for sothing from us little children.

"You are a jerk, you know?"

"If saving ten percent of the people in this academy is sothing that would earn that na, then I accept it happily.

I am a jerk."

He was certainly a jerk, but I didn’t have ti to think much about this shit.

"What are the chances this thing would have spread out to the dorms as well?"

I was nervous. And so was Lucy.

The blue death was a kind of Environntal virus that affected the Mana of the atmosphere.

And it spreads quickly so it’s a fact that it doesn’t even take more than a few hours to cover an area as big as the academy campus.

There was a great chance that it was already spreading through the dorms, and, even though our dorm was special and separate from the rest of the places in the dorm tower, it was still situated within this very academy.

"Oh, well... it started from the dorms from our current understanding. The most cases were found in the dorms, even if your dorm keeper was infected.

It would be better if you could look after her first. She might be able to help you-."

-Ooooooooooooong.

He was saying sothing but, after he had confird that the information was spreading in the dormitory, I had nothing else left to hear.

’I just took Anna away from him and vanished from the place using our dorm keys and teleported back to our place.’

Our entire team, as well as every single one of the mbers of Fool’s Gambit were currently present in that place and most of those people possessed a higher Mana sensitivity.

’The virus first starts affecting those with higher Mana sensitivity and after a certain ti, it starts condensing the Mana inside their body.’

The materialised Mana in their bodies becos crystallised and even without the individual in question knowing anything about it, it spreads throughout their bodies, making the Mana denser, and their bodies heavier.

’There aren’t many symptoms of this plague; individuals who get affected by it die indiscriminately if the illness progresses too far.’

The only cure of this shit is a complete blockage of the flowing Mana in one’s body, purification of the Mana through external ans, and healing the damaged body with a purer kind of energy.

There is no dicine for this thing so it’s pretty much impossible to treat every single affected person in groups.

The only way around this is having many people that know how to do it... and aside from Anan and myself, there were only four other people that could do it in this academy at the mont.

"Friday!"

"Yes master!"

"Do you not know about the plague?!"

The chances were very high that the plague was already spreading throughout this dorm room so we had to move quickly.

Losing even one of the Fools would make things fucking difficult for us.

"What are you talking about-."

"Fuck, forgot that! Here, hold her!"

Handing Anna over to him, I quickly called out the surveillance system of this dorm room and looked at how everyone were doing in their room... and, what I was seeing was not sothing attractive.

"Shit... fuck. Listen up, Friday."

"Yes master!"

"Learn the spell Anna is teaching you. You have ten, perhaps twelve minutes to master it.

A plague is spreading throughout this academy and only we can save the others! So learn it, and while you’re on it, call Eva! Tell her to bring that bastard AJ along and get their asses here as quickly as they can.

Ah! Go to the royals! Teach the spell to the two parents as well. Tell them I need their imdiate help!"

There was no ti left.

Things were escalating quickly.

’Three of them were alredy in critical condition.’

And after treating them, I also had to look after the others in this academy.

"Shit..."

This wasn’t good.

And worse thing than this was the way it was spreading...

’It’s bad.’

I had a bad feeling about this whole thing...
