"How dare you..."

The people on the side of the Truth Sect were already shocked when they saw the man with the sword appear. They had been montarily overwheld by his nacing aura and hadn’t collected themselves yet. Now, just having co to their senses, they saw that he had instantly killed dozens of riders and was even about to destroy the large cauldron. Their anger nearly burst from their eyes.

Amid their anger was far more fear.

With a clamor, the more than twenty remaining riders no longer cared for anything else. They picked up their weapons and charged forward recklessly on horseback, hoping to reclaim the large cauldron. anwhile, those in mourning felt terrified, slashing themselves with their own blades.

However, the man in the smiling mask showed no rcy, cleaving the large cauldron into two halves. Two halves were not enough. While the cauldron had not yet hit the ground, he swiftly struck it twice more, smashing it into unrecognizable pieces.

"It’s ruined..."

Their shock deepened as they ca to their senses. Their hearts sank, and fear overshadowed their rage. The cauldron had contained the unnaable children’s vengeful spirits. With its destruction, a cacophony of piercing cries instantly filled the air all around.

Everyone who heard the crying felt dazed and saw strange, ghostly figures scattering everywhere. Their bodies turned ice-cold, as if little hands were clawing and tearing at them.

The worst off were the riders nearby. At first glance, they appeared normal, but suddenly their bodies twisted grotesquely. They no longer advanced on Hu Ma, instead desperately clawing at themselves. It was as if invisible horrors sward over them, and suddenly, their arms and legs fell to the ground. So no longer noticed the man with the sword, hastily jumping off their horses and staggering away, only for their heads to be twisted around violently, pitching them lifeless to the ground.

The large area had suddenly beco a playground for evil spirits. Even in the crying, hints of schadenfreude and joyful laughter began to mix.

"My child..."

The mourners were the most startled. Seeing the large black cauldron break, they felt as if half their lives were lost. Bloodied and furious, they charged at the man with the sword, only to be t by his eerie smiling mask and the glint of his cold blade.

"What’s happening? What’s happening?"

Inside Zhu n Town, the Red Lantern Lady was trembling with fear. She had just seen a group of oddly shaped children crying and rushing at her. How much could she kick and tear with her bare hands?

She understood that the younger they were, the more vicious they were. No matter how much she begged them for rcy, they wouldn’t spare her... Why did they have to be so ruthless, not even leaving a chance for her to beco a foot-washing maid?

But at that mont, just as she was about to surrender in despair, a surge of baleful aura swept through Zhu n Town, making the group of children vanish.

She let out a faint red glow to see what was going on, suddenly noticing the Truth Magic Altar in a killing frenzy, bathed in blood, its baleful aura overwhelming as it suppressed the evil energy. Just when that evil energy seed to have been tad, suddenly, as if sothing shattered, the already intense evil energy broke free of its bindings, rolling and spreading, engulfing the Truth Magic Altar and nearly reaching her.

Only three miles! A re three miles away, the interwoven baleful aura and evil energy made her wish she could run herself, but she could only huddle in the temple, trembling.

Yet before she could adjust, her vision suddenly blurred. A little ghost with two braided pigtails wearing red clothes dashed into her temple, tossing a yellow talisman in front of her.

The little ghost said, "Here, it’s for you. Start chanting quickly!"

The Red Lantern Lady didn’t know what it was or where the little ghost ca from. She vaguely felt she had seen it before... But at that mont, filled with fear, she dared not disobey. Hastily, she strained her neck and laboriously peered at the densely packed words on the talisman, slowly chanting them.

Little Hongtang, arranged by Hu Ma, had delivered the talisman, which contained the Divine Light Exorcism Curse. As the Red Lantern Lady intoned the incantation, the red lantern’s glow grew increasingly bright.

In front of the Truth Altar, as soon as Hu Ma appeared, he destroyed such an evil object. Turbulent malevolent and demonic energy was unleashed, lashing out at those around it, showing no gratitude towards him. The mont his eyes felt the chill of the dark wind, he saw grotesque little faces—sliced by a blade and crudely stitched back together—surging towards him, mouths open to bite.

They were mindless and lawless, unaware of who he was, only knowing to devour anything they could. But he withheld the Punishnt Officer’s Great Saber, not attacking them.

He knew that this kind of evil skill was diabolically cruel. These little ghosts—starved and abandoned by Heaven, thrown into a cauldron by their parents, turned into spirits that couldn’t be laid to rest in the earth—were the most insidious and evil things between Heaven and Earth. Likewise, they were the most pitiable and wretched. If he didn’t kill them, he would be devoured by them. Yet, killing them was an affront to the harmony of Heaven.

Thus, even he, when facing these little ghosts, rely widened his eyes. His Dharma Form burst forth, fierce and nacing, and he uttered a mighty shout that displaced the evil aura. These lawless little ghosts feared the Heavenly General Seal’s dreadful aura, shrinking back fearfully. But after a re retreat, they still didn’t run, instead approaching him with drooling hunger.

Even Hu Ma couldn’t help but sigh internally. If these evil little ghosts were let into the city, they could devour the entire population.

The Truth Sect was arrogant, thinking no one could handle their creation. They depended on its extre evilness; it couldn’t be suppressed nor scattered. Destroying their cauldron was simple, but after its destruction, this thing would beco even more vicious and evil, and only the Truth Sect could contain it. Fortunately, he had prepared for this in advance.

The Heavenly General’s Magic body ford, temporarily intimidating the little ghosts from approaching. Then he suddenly twisted his body and took seven steps, performing the Stepping Gang and Fighting, forming a faint, small Magic Altar. Of course, it couldn’t compare to an altar ford by a suppression object, but it allowed him to use so Mana for a short ti to break the opponent’s evil skills or perform a dharma thod.

When he reached the seventh step, he abruptly thrust the Punishnt Officer’s Great Saber into the ground. Instantly, invisible Mana surged forth. Behind him, the red lantern’s glow shot up, illuminating the night sky.

"What is that?"

The entire scene had turned into chaos. The mourning people and oncoming riders were either slain by Hu Ma or killed by the backlash from the Yin Ghosts, dying miserably. By the black sedan, three of the two maids and four servants were dead. Two of the Altar Masters holding green banners had also died. From a distance, those trying to gather information were also attacked by the chaotic little ghosts; half were killed instantly, and the rest had no chance of escape.

However, in the direction of Zhu n Town, the red lantern’s glow cleared away so of the terrifying despair, even attracting the chaotic little ghosts in the area. Ruthless and savage in appearance, they imdiately moved towards the red glow to feast. However, at that mont, they heard a woman’s faint chanting voice from within the red lantern’s light. These inexplicably fierce little ghosts were sowhat subdued by the incantation, their viciousness slightly diminishing. They paused briefly, and then, one by one, they started timidly moving towards Zhu n Town, following the red glow. Soon, more and more little ghosts mimicked them, joining the group.

Inside Zhu n Town, the Red Lantern Lady focused on the talisman’s lettering, chanting slowly, not knowing what she was saying. Suddenly, she looked up and saw the frightening little ghosts approaching again, making her shiver. But then she realized these little ghosts weren’t leaping at her this ti. Instead, they crouched down in front of her, staring blankly.

She imdiately understood sothing and continued chanting the incantation from the beginning, not daring to stop.

On the little ghosts, sothing began diffusing slowly, and even the Red Lantern Lady didn’t know what she’d accomplished. Everything she did that night was coerced, done in bewildernt, unaware of how she won, or whom she had offended, unaware of why she was chanting now. She didn’t even realize that as these little ghosts settled before her, their malignity lightened, and a subtle golden mark appeared on her red Lifebound Lantern.

「...」

"How dare they do this?!"

Before the Truth Altar, the chaotic little ghosts naturally threw people into panic. But seeing the little ghosts float towards Zhu n Town, the Heavenly Destiny General beca suddenly alard, shouting, "Return my guardian spirits to imdiately!"

With an angry shout, he suddenly jumped up from beside the frightened Red Fire Bull, grabbing his teor Hamr, and attempted to charge straight at Hu Ma. In front of him, Hu Ma stood calmly, giving him a cold look as his Punishnt Officer’s Great Saber rang sharply.

SWISH!

At that mont, the stately woman in the black sedan suddenly stepped out. She tightly held the flustered Heavenly Destiny General, her eyes locked on Hu Ma and the saber in his hand.

With a trembling voice, she asked, "Who... who exactly are you?"

"Isn’t it obvious enough?"

Hu Ma slowly tucked the Ghost Head Big Blade under his arm. He looked up at her and said indifferently, "The Walking Ghost of the Great Sword-Catching Sect is here. Before my altar, anyone who performs wicked evil skills, anyone who harms humans or ghosts..."

"...shall be slain!"
