The person Zhuang Erchang invited had just appeared and imdiately destroyed the Wugong Clan Chief’s Gu Bowl, showing they did not regard him as worth attention.

The gu people were vulnerable once the Shousui got close, as if their lives were cut in half. Moreover, with his Gu Bowl destroyed, it was as if he had lost all his abilities, just like a Shousui man without his cultivation. To still regard him as a great enemy would be a joke.

However, unexpectedly, the Wugong Clan Chief suddenly looked up, his face full of resentnt. He glared at them fiercely and voiced his anger.

Zhuang Erchang, the Mine Chief, glanced at him with a smile and said, "Wugong, you were the one who got ambitious first. You sent people to spread gu outside while coming into our mine pretending to be a good person. Did you really think I couldn’t see through your act?"

"Now that you’ve suffered a loss here, there’s no need to feel so wronged, right?"

The Wugong Clan Chief gritted his teeth and said in a low voice, "But with my gu insects destroyed, no one can control Wu Song now. He won’t let you off easily..."

"Wu Song?"

Upon hearing this, Zhuang Erchang, the Mine Chief, suddenly laughed and pointed at the Witches thrown from the horses. "During this ti, weren’t these the ones who released gu outside?"

"Even now, you’re still playing gas. That son of yours, whom no one has heard of—you must have made him up, right?"

"You used the pretense of soone else releasing gu to pressure us, just so we wouldn’t realize you were secretly refining gu in the valley. Every last resource at this blood food mine, I have morized. You’re using gu refining as an excuse to steal evil energy, thinking I wouldn’t understand?"

Listening to his teasing doubts, the Wugong Clan Chief’s face turned ashen. He slowly closed his eyes. After a long mont, he opened them again and said softly, "The gu these past few days were indeed released by clansn I arranged."

"But Wu Song is real. He was the one who first sealed your blood food mine."

"But when we decided to co, he inexplicably stopped. I had no choice but to arrange for my own people to release gu, to prevent you from suspecting..."

"But now, my gu insects have been destroyed. Without sothing to restrain Wu Song, with his madness, you all..."

"What the hell?"

Watching the Wugong Clan Chief speak with such a sinister expression, the crowd’s first reaction was, surprisingly, to laugh. Yet, because his expression was so serious, they couldn’t bring themselves to laugh, and their faces beca sowhat conflicted.

Ever since Zhuang Erchang secretly invited helpers from his sect and the One Coin Sect arrived, the Wugong Clan Chief’s painstaking plans had seed like a joke.

His deceptive tactics were completely transparent. Even the n he had stationed in the forest outside, pretending to release gu while coordinating with efforts inside, had been discovered. He was left without a shred of dignity.

At this point, what use was there in stubbornly spouting such nonsense instead of honestly admitting defeat?

But the brocade-robed elder, surrounded by others, focused his gaze slightly, then sneered coldly and ordered Zhuang Erchang, "For now, we should check on the Stone Corpse."

Glancing sideways, he spoke to those beside him, "You killed these raving Witches and didn’t even count how many people were in your own village. Yet, relying on a few gu-releasing tricks, you dared to target the Stone Corpse. Truly, you’ve brought disaster upon yourselves."

Saying this, he was about to move forward. The two people accompanying him cracked their knuckles and walked toward the Wugong Clan Chief.

The two seed to follow the Shousui Path. They appeared to be in their thirties, with solid builds and a sinister aura clinging to them. One look was enough to tell they had seen blood.

Seeing their murderous intent, the Witch boy next to Wuya suddenly shouted and was about to leap up, ready to fight them to the death.

But the two rely glanced at him casually, then shouted. A flash of blood erupted from one of their mouths, striking the Witch boy in the chest. He fell straight back, a bloody hole where his heart had been. He was dead on the ground.

Seeing the boy die, both the Wugong Clan Chief and Wuya were filled with shock and fury. Yet the two n regarded it as nothing, smiling faintly as they approached, their murderous intent clear.

The mont this group appeared and began acting so ruthlessly, with an air of disregarding everyone, Zhou Datong and the others were shocked. They hesitated, wondering whether to help, but Calculation’s glare temporarily stopped them.

As the Shousui drew close, the two gu people were helpless. Everyone’s faces turned pale with terror. Suddenly, from the eerie silence beyond the valley, the sound of a bamboo flute rang out.

The flute’s sound ca abruptly, its tune strange. It sounded as if it were right next to the valley, just a wall apart, a re few dozen ters away.

Wuya, who was panicked, suddenly lifted her head. Tears welled in her reddened eyes, but her voice held a hint of surprised joy, "Brother?"

The Wugong Clan Chief’s expression changed, his voice trembling slightly. "He’s finally co?"

Is there really soone else nearby?

Hearing the flute, Zhuang Erchang, along with the brocade-robed elder and his companions (the Five Elents people), were also slightly startled. They stopped in their tracks and exchanged glances. Before entering the valley, they had checked the surroundings and were sure no one else was present besides those Witches releasing gu.

But the flute’s sound was unmistakably close. From its tune, it was undoubtedly one of the Witches, and they could even confirm it was the sound of a bamboo flute used for expelling gu.

As the sound of the bamboo flute gradually drew closer within the valley, an increasingly cold and oppressive feeling weighed heavily on everyone’s hearts, as if the flute possessed so magical power to awaken the fear deep within them.

The brocade-robed elder, hearing the flute, also suddenly inhaled sharply. His ears twitched, as if he heard so strange sound beyond the music.

The elder, who had been calm and composed since entering the valley, suddenly sounded urgent. He whirled around and shouted loudly,

"Be wary! Sothing’s strange..."

Before he could finish, everyone saw a black torrent sweep in from outside the valley with intense montum. But wind is formless, how could it be visible?

Only when this "wind" drew near did they realize it wasn’t wind at all, but an overwhelming swarm of dark bees.

Each bee had a stinger at the ready, its wings vibrating. The swarm swept over them like a tempest, sending shivers down their spines as the incessant buzzing filled their ears, a sound so pervasive it seed to make their very hearts itch.

"Gu Bees..."

Even Calculation, who normally wouldn’t panic, was so frightened at this mont that his voice cracked as he shouted, "Quick, damn it, run for your lives!"

He scread as he ran towards the wooden house. He had barely taken a few steps before seeing Zhou Datong, Zhou Liang, and Zhao Zhu already ahead of him, running much faster.

"Stand behind !"

Simultaneously, the brocade-robed elder reacted. He stepped forcefully forward, his right foot landing so firmly on the ground that it created a clear pit. Then, he inhaled deeply and rapidly recited a complex spell.

The air in front of him seed to darken as an eerie, shadowy gas materialized. The swarming Gu Bees collided with this barrier, dropping to the ground one by one.

But the Gu Bee swarm was imnse and poured in continuously, a relentless tide. The brocade-robed elder could only barely hold the line, the exchange of energy overwhelmingly one-sided as he struggled to shield the disciples and the Magic King beside him.

"It’s Wu Song..."

At the sa ti, the Wugong Clan Chief’s face was ashen, his lips trembling as he murmured, "He has indeed co..."

"Only he can refine gu to be as nightmarish as this..."

His words seed directed toward Wuya, but he didn’t look at her. Instead, he gazed sharply ahead. Seeing the gu insects pinned to the ground and the silent Gu Bowl, a look of fierce resolve settled on his face.

"To deal with Wu Song, there’s only one way..."

He spoke solemnly, taking advantage of the chaotic mont. He struggled to crawl towards the pile of Black Tai Sui. These substances were usually cleared out regularly to avoid affecting the mining operations.

Now, the Wugong Clan Chief crawled over, drew the curved knife from his waist, and began slicing off pieces of the Black Tai Sui. Amidst the chaos, unnoticed by the others, he dragged them over to Wuya and piled them in front of her.

"Wuya, eat it!"

Wuya jerked her head up, looking at her father with an expression of terror. She shook her head repeatedly, her face filled with fear and resistance.

"Eat it!"

The Wugong Clan Chief’s voice rose sharply, startling Wuya, who trembled. Realizing he had frightened her, he softened his tone and whispered, "This is the Witch God’s will."

"This is your destiny, Wuya!"

"Your brother is almost here. Only by awakening the Witch God within you can you kill him and seize his gu..."

Wuya’s face twisted with imnse pain and fear. But the freshly cut Black Tai Sui before her exuded a potent, almost vivid aroma that wafted into her nostrils.

For a brief mont, her eyes transford into serpent-like vertical pupils. It was a re flicker that vanished instantly, but it seed to mark her decision. She grabbed a small piece of Black Tai Sui and stuffed it into her mouth. Then, she seized a larger chunk and began to devour it.

After only a few bites, her face turned a deathly pale, her expression crazed. Yet, she ate even faster, all traces of the once radiant maiden vanishing.

Seeing her like this, the Wugong Clan Chief looked gratified. He gently cradled the pierced Gu Bowl, as if sensing the gu insect inside slowly reviving, stirring back to life.

He exhaled deeply and began to chant softly, "May the three souls nurture the gu’s energy, summon the Witch God’s Magic body. Protect my Witch people for countless generations, bring abundance to the valley, and keep warfare far away."

"Eat, Wuya. You shall beco the Witch God’s Gu Holder..."
