"Why on my mother’s na are you crying?" Athiel asks, getting closer to Kree. "And on your knees?"

’Is it trying to gain sympathy?’

He slowed as he approached, his eyes narrowing slightly, trying to make sense of what he was seeing. It didn’t look right.

It didn’t fit to how it look.

It looked like it was about to start begging for forgiveness, like in those stupid stage shows his father loves so much.

That thought alone almost made him scoff.

But to Athiel’s surprise, as if he wasn’t already surprised enough—

Kree bowed. It was a low bow.

It bowed to Athiel’s foot, its hands holding onto Athiel’s foot as if it was groveling.

It didn’t hesitate.

It didn’t seem forced.

It was just... doing it.

’What is happening right now?’ Athiel thought. He could see that the creature’s shoulders were still shaking, uneven and constant, so it was still crying.

Actually crying.

"Athiel..." Kree whispers through its tears and sobbing. "Athiel... Athiel..."

Its voice broke around his na.

Again, and again.

And again.

It held onto Athiel’s foot.

Tighter this ti.

As if it was begging.

Well, it was only saying Athiel’s na, but it was begging it over and over, like it was the only thing it could say, the only thing it knew how to say.

It seed like it wanted to say sothing else but couldn’t.

Like the words were there, just out of reach.

’Is it trying to worship ?’

That didn’t matter to Athiel though.

Because for one, he never thought the monster to beg.

Or to grovel.

As much as he wanted to teach it that, he thought it was hard work.

Sothing that would take ti.

Sothing he would have to force into it.

But now—

It sohow learned.

On its own.

And...

Athiel smiles.

He smiles.

Slowly.

His heart was beating loudly against his chest, the sound of it filling his ears, his body reacting before his mind could fully catch up.

He felt sothing stir inside him, sothing sharp and unfamiliar, sothing that made his breath co out just a little uneven.

He felt... a tingle.

A pull.

He liked it.

He liked looking down at the monster like this.

Helpless.

And shaking.

He liked the fact that it learned to grovel on its own.

Without being told.

Without being forced.

He liked the fact that it was crying.

Because of him.

He liked the fact that it made him feel powerful.

’It seems you keep awakening sothing inside that I didn’t know existed.’

Athiel thought, the realization settling in deeper than it should have.

He liked it so much that he actually leaned down.

Very slowly, he reached out and grabbed Kree by the hair, fingers tangling into the strands, tightening just enough to force the monster to look up at him.

Kree didn’t resist.

It let itself be pulled.

"Are you crying because I haven’t been nice to you?"

His voice dropped, softer now, almost curious.

It didn’t answer.

It just stared up at him, eyes wet, tears still clinging to its lashes, slipping down its face without pause.

"Have you learned your lesson? Hm?" Athiel tilts his head, his grip tightening slightly as the urge to push further crept in. "Do you think you deserve forgiveness for what you did to ?"

Kree whimpered.

The sound was quiet.

Broken.

Especially as Athiel tightened his grip on its blonde hair.

"A-Athiel..."

"You look so submissive for a monster so disgusting," Athiel whispers, leaning down until they were face to face.

Close enough to feel the other’s breath.

Close enough that Kree couldn’t look away even if it wanted to.

It didn’t seem like it wanted to though.

Kree’s eyes stayed on him, unfocused in a way that made it look overwheld, yet unable to pull away.

Even as its breathing hitched, even as tears continued to fall, it didn’t resist.

"You know, what you’re showing right now is a very human emotion," Athiel whispers with a smirk. "Are you becoming more human than I thought."

There was sothing almost curious in his voice, but it was buried under sothing sharper.

Athiel uses his free hand to grab Kree by the chin, tilting its face up more, forcing it to et his gaze fully.

And just like that—

Whatever illusion he built inside his head shattered.

What illusion?

The illusion that what Kree did to him didn’t have any effect.

The illusion that he didn’t like it.

It cracked so easily it almost made him pause.

In reality, it changed his life.

That truth settled in deeper than he expected, heavy and impossible to ignore.

Whether he wanted to admit it or not, his fascination with monsters—no, with Kree—had gone beyond just his research.

It wasn’t just curiosity anymore.

It wasn’t just observation.

It was sothing else.

Sothing he didn’t want to na.

That’s why he kept punishing Kree.

Because he had to.

He had to hide what he actually wanted to do.

He had to keep control.

Every single day since that day, he had dreamt of Kree’s tentacles, of Kree’s touch.

Those damn tentacles.

That damn tongue.

’I’ve always thought I was one of those people who didn’t feel any sexual desire.’

The thought ca with a bitter edge.

It almost felt like a lie now.

Because it turned out his sexual desire wasn’t nonexistent.

It was just... misplaced.

Or maybe, it had always been there, waiting for sothing like this.

He didn’t want what any human could provide.

He wanted what a humanoid monster could provide.

And that realization made sothing tighten in his chest.

Because that—

That would give Kree too much power.

Athiel didn’t like that.

Not at all.

Kree was his pet.

He owned Kree.

That was the truth he held onto.

The only thing keeping everything in place.

He wanted everything except Kree’s dominance.

He wanted control.

Only control.

But now?

Where was that dominance?

Kree was crying.

Groveling.

It was begging.

It was desperate.

There was no threat.

No resistance.

No power.

And it made it harder for Athiel to deny everything now, because he felt it clearly.

He felt the shift.

He had the power.

He always had the leash.

But now it felt like he really had it.

Athiel bit his lip.

He bit it because now he had an idea.

An idea that ca too quickly, too easily, like it had been waiting for a mont like this.

An idea that was completely unethical.

An idea he might regret, but right now?

He didn’t really care.

Not when Kree was showing... this side of it.

Not when it looked like this beneath him.

So Athiel takes a deep breath, steadying himself, though his pulse was anything but steady. "Get up," he orders, pulling it up by the hair. "Let’s go back to the lab."

Kree seed to understand.

Or at least, it didn’t resist.

It didn’t take a lot for it to follow, maybe because it didn’t know what was happening in Athiel’s mind, and it probably thought Athiel was going to punish it.

That thought almost made him smile.

"Co," Athiel says, turning around and walking out of the ballroom without waiting to see if Kree would keep up.

Of course, it did.

As they walked out, he started to zone out.

The noise around him faded.

He didn’t even care that there were still maids squealing and getting scared around him, their whispers and hurried footsteps barely registering.

None of it mattered.

As they walked back to his room, there were so many thoughts running in his mind, overlapping, repeating, refusing to settle.

’Tentacles...’ Athiel thought.

It wasn’t even just that.

It was the horns.

The tail.

The claws.

Every part of Kree that made it different, that made it not human.

His excitent wasn’t just for his research.

That would’ve been easier to accept.

It was safer.

It was...more normal.

But it wasn’t just that.

He liked those parts of Kree.

He liked the way they looked.

The way they moved.

It excited him.

That realization sat in his chest, heavy and undeniable.

It didn’t take long for them to reach his room, though it barely registered how they got there.

Because of his thoughts.

Because of his... imagination.

He got to his room with Kree behind him without any trouble.

Athiel looks down.

"That was quick."

His voice was quieter now, almost amused, though there was tension beneath it.

Referring to his bulge, he glances at Kree, who still had no idea what was in store for it.

Kree just stood there.

Waiting.

Still shaken.

Still unaware of what’s to co.

Even as they went down to the lab.

Even as Athiel started to put him in all his chains, his movents were now mostly in anticipation, and more controlled.

Even as Athiel stared at it with sothing that wasn’t just curiosity anymore.

And even as he said the order.

"Show your tentacles."
