Fang Yuan was on the verge of stating that she hadn’t suffered, but the elderly gentleman persisted, “Don’t worry, both the Cheng Family and the Bo Family will double their kindness towards you in the future!”

Fang Yuan:”…” She could comprehend the Cheng Family’s stance, but wasn’t the Bo Family’s reaction a tad too forgiving?

“Your na is Fang Yuan, correct? It’s a pleasant na, and your appearance is quite striking as well,” remarked Old Master Bo, seemingly echoing Butler Wen’s sentint.

Butler Wen concurred with a smile. This young lady was undeniably more visually appealing than Cheng Yuqi. She exuded poise and displayed no signs of shyness. She was indeed a unique individual.

“Oh dear, look at . My age has caught up to , causing my mory to falter. I beca so engrossed in our conversation that I forgot to offer you a seat. Co over to Grandpa, my child,” coaxed Old Master Bo, patting the adjacent double couch.

Bo Yi arched an eyebrow. Wasn’t this couch bought specifically so that the young lady could sit beside him? Grandpa had certainly put in quite a bit of effort.

Butler Wen inquired with a grin, “Young Master, would you also like to sit?”

Bo Yi showed no signs of discontent and naturally took a seat next to Fang Yuan. This turn of events surprised Old Master Bo this ti. His grandson appeared to treat this young lady rather distinctly!

“Yuanyuan, I heard from Mu Qing that you’ve just completed your college entrance exams. Are you considering any universities? Grandpa can make arrangents for you.”

Fang Yuan dutifully responded, “Not yet.”

Old Master Bo: “In that case, let’s set our sights on Jing University. I’m acquainted with the forr principal of Jing University.”

Observing his grandpa’s excessive concern, Bo Yi shifted the conversation. “Did you rember to take your dication today?”

The ntion of dicine prompted the elderly gentleman to furrow his brow. “That traditional Chinese dicine is excessively bitter. It’s a trendously challenging task. I’m curious about the identity of the person who prescribed it. If I were to consu that concoction, 1 might keel over on the spot!”

All eyes turned to Fang Yuan in a silent consensus.

Fang Yuan responded composedly, “I’m the one who prescribed that dicine.”

Old Master Bo’s countenance underwent a sudden transformation. He hadn’t anticipated his granddaughter-in-law to possess not only operational knowledge but also the capability to prescribe traditional Chinese dicine. Swiftly correcting his initial reaction, he remarked, “Though it may have carried a touch of bitterness on the palate, potent dicine often bears that trait. Once ingested, its bitterness can be offset by the sweetness it brings forth. This sweetness mirrors my granddaughter-in-law’s gracious acceptance…”

“Why, then, have you not partaken of it?” Bo Yi interjected impassively.

Old Master Bo asserted with an air of authority, “Wen, fetch the dicine! 1 intended to consu it, yet my delight upon encountering my granddaughter-in-law led to neglect its consumption.”

Butler Wen:”…” He saw no reason to expose her any further. Earlier, when Miss Fang Yuan hadn’t arrived, the old gentleman had teased relentlessly, claiming he’d rather not be reborn than acknowledge the dicine’s presence, even if he simply caught a whiff of it. Yet now, after having a whiff, he seed eager to unearth a pit to hide in. How rapidly the tides had shifted! Would he dare to utter those words in front of Miss Fang Yuan?

“I could readily drink down three substantial bowls of the dicine personally prescribed by my granddaughter-in-law!”

Fang Yuan:”…” Three bowls weren’t really necessary.

With a warm cup of traditional Chinese dicine in hand, Butler Wen offered it to Old Master Bo. The latter accepted it and swallowed it in one fluid motion, resembling soone downing a glass of wine.

“Mmm, absolutely delectable!”

At the sight of the old gentleman’s furrowed brow, Mu Qing couldn’t suppress a smirk. The old man seed quite tornted.

Understanding that this Chinese dicine wasn’t renowned for its palatability, Butler Wen found himself in a helpless situation. While the concoction might not be pleasing to the taste, it was certainly beneficial for one’s health. Additionally, the fact that the prescriber was currently present made a significant difference.

“How do you find yourself today?” Fang Yuan inquired with genuine concern.

“Your visit alongside Yi has been such a source of joy that my ailnts montarily faded into oblivion!” Old Master Bo’s declaration was swiftly followed by an abrupt clasp of his chest, his expression taking a concerning turn.

Just as Fang Yuan was about to take his pulse, she witnessed him suddenly hunch over and expel a mouthful of fresh blood. The room was filled with shock from everyone present.

“Grandpa!”

“Old Sir, what’s happening?”

“What’s the matter? I’ll call for a doctor right away.”

“Oh, yes. Miss Fang Yuan is a doctor herself. Miss Fang Yuan, please examine him quickly. What’s wrong with him?”

With her fingers resting on Old Master Bo’s wrist, Fang Yuan furrowed her brows and then looked up at the elderly man. “Did you secretly drink wine?”

Bo Yi and Mu Qing exchanged incredulous glances, directed at the old gentleman.

“I… I didn’t drink…” Unable to conceal the truth any longer, Old Master Bo reluctantly confessed, “Well, 1 might have had a sip.”

Fang Yuan raised an eyebrow. “You had just a sip?”

“How did you know?” Old Master Bo gazed at Fang Yuan in astonishnt. Was she capable of detecting even his sips? She was nothing short of a miraculous doctor!

Fang Yuan smirked and gestured towards the blanket. “There’s an empty wine bottle right there.”

Old Master Bo directed his gaze downwards, realizing that the wine bottle he had concealed within his blanket had sohow erged from its hiding place. He shot a disapproving glance at Butler Wen and admonished him in hushed tones, “Oh dear, why didn’t you hide it better?”

Butler Wen stamred, “1… I didn’t anticipate being discovered either…” There had been no opportunity for him to conceal it properly when both Master Bo and Miss Fang Yuan suddenly appeared.

“Grandpa!” Bo Yi’s voice held a note of reproach.

Anticipating his grandson’s forthcoming lecture, Old Master Bo promptly waved his hand. “Enough, enough, 1 understand. 1 simply couldn’t resist! The sheer delight of having my granddaughter-in-law here overwheld .. With her presence today as my witness, I solemnly vow not to repeat this in the future!”
