C31 – Ding ngqi Is a Teacher!?

As the first rays of sunlight kissed the morning of Forest City, an astonishing rumor swept through the Eastern City’s comrcial district.

The Chen Family’s father and son of the Chen Group had died suddenly, their company’s stock plumting, sending shockwaves through the community.

Every rchant knew there was more to the story than a re sudden death. Sothing significant had occurred the previous night…

And when word got out that Tong Shan, Chen Peng’s “old friend,” had taken over the Chen Group, the pieces began to fall into place. Eyes turned to the head of the Tong Group, now regarded with a mix of awe and respect.

It was clear that the Chen Family’s untily demise was linked to Tong Shan.

They also realized that from this day forward, the Tong Family would reign supre in Forest City’s Eastern District.

Unaware of these developnts, Wang Xiao was preoccupied with getting dressed in his military uniform, readying himself for the university’s opening ceremony and the start of military training.

“Xiao, co on, the ceremony is about to start,” urged Soong Ming, with Feng Lee chiming in, as they watched Wang Xiao casually don his uniform, their impatience growing.

“What’s the rush? It’s just a simple ceremony, after all,” Wang Xiao replied nonchalantly as he continued to dress.

“Sure, the ceremony itself isn’t a big deal, but the girls attending it are—especially the sophomore girls who’ll be there this ti,” Lin Hua interjected, his eyes gleaming with excitent, barely containing his drool.

Wang Xiao shot Lin Hua a look of contempt, at a loss for words with this resiliently spirited, yet increasingly sleazy, friend.

Just yesterday, Lin Hua’s furious gaze at Yun Yi during their breakup had led Wang Xiao to believe he was a man of steel. Now, it seed he had taken a turn for the worse.

“Absolutely!” Soong Ming and Feng Lee agreed, nodding enthusiastically.

Finally dressed, Wang Xiao was briskly escorted by his friends to the eting square at Forest City University for the ceremony.

Upon their arrival, the eting square was teeming with first-year students clad in green camouflage, buzzing with whispers and creating quite a din.

“Where’s our Traditional Chinese dicine class among all these people?” Soong Ming couldn’t help but frown and spoke with a hint of concern in his voice.

The square was vast, teeming with nearly ten thousand freshn. Finding one’s class in such a crowd was no small feat.

“See all those second-year students in charge of maintaining order? You were all in such a rush to get here, now’s the perfect chance to chat them up and find out where our class is,” Wang Xiao suggested, nodding towards the group of attractive second-year girls in student union uniforms, addressing Soong Ming, Feng Lee, and the others.

“Cough, I haven’t figured out what to say yet.”

Feeling Wang Xiao’s eyes on him, Soong Ming gave a slight cough and averted his gaze.

“The true art of flirting isn’t about approaching her—it’s about standing here and having her co over to ,” Feng Lee boasted with a blush, tilting his head up in a show of faux wisdom.

Keep pretending, that’s all you’re doing!

Wang Xiao rolled his eyes and then glanced at Lin Hua, who was sporting an awkward smile on his plump face. “Bro, you know I just took an emotional hit. You wouldn’t want to see get rejected and hurt again, would you?” he said ekly.

So, they were all talk and no action—a bunch of shy guys with bold words!

Wang Xiao looked on helplessly, having lost all hope in Soong Ming and the others, he decided it was ti to step in himself.

“Wang Xiao?”

Just then, a familiar female voice called out from behind him, tinged with uncertainty.

Turning around, Wang Xiao laid eyes on a stunning woman in a pink t-shirt that showcased her slim waist, paired with blue shorts that highlighted her long, shapely legs. It was Ding ngqi, the gorgeous girl he had encountered on his first night in Forest City.

“Hey there, gorgeous, do you go to Forest City University too?”

Wang Xiao couldn’t help but smile when he saw Ding ngqi, greeting her with a playful tone.

At Wang Xiao’s words, Ding ngqi’s cheeks flushed a bright red, her heart pounding erratically.

This guy, always speaking out of turn!

Who is he calling a beauty?

Soong Ming, Feng Lee, and the others exchanged puzzled glances.

The stunning woman before them wasn’t dressed in the sophomore student council uniform but in casual attire, attending the opening ceremony of Forest City University.

It was clear as day that she was a teacher at Forest City University!

Should they clue in Wang Xiao before he embarrasses himself?

Soong Ming and the others were indecisive, but by the ti they considered speaking up, it was too late.

“Young man, how can you address Elder Ding like that? She’s a teacher at Forest City University. Show so respect,” a man in a suit stepped forward from behind Ding ngqi, fixing Wang Xiao with a stern look and speaking in a sharp tone.

The man in the suit, Shi Qiang, was also a teacher at Forest City University. Coming from a wealthy background, he had graduated from the sa teacher’s college as Ding ngqi and had followed her to teach at Forest City University. He had long harbored feelings for Ding ngqi and was irked to see this student brazenly flirting with the woman he admired.

“A beautiful teacher?”

Wang Xiao paused for a mont, then a spark of interest flashed in his eyes. The idea of marrying a university teacher seed rather appealing, especially since Ding ngqi was quite attractive.

Ignoring Shi Qiang, Wang Xiao turned to Ding ngqi with a cheeky grin, “I had no idea you were a teacher. How about we grab breakfast after the eting wraps up? We could chat about life, you know?”

As soon as Wang Xiao spoke, Soong Ming, Feng Lee, and the others looked at him with eyes brimming with awe.

Incredible!

Absolutely incredible!

He knew she was a teacher and yet he had the guts to say that!

Forget ‘Mo’, from now on, you’re ‘Third Brother’ to us, and our new hero!

“Wang Xiao, you need to behave yourself.”

Ding ngqi’s face reddened again at his words, and with a light bite of her lip, she chastised Wang Xiao.

This jerk!

He’s mocking her again!

Unlike Soong Ming and the others, who looked on with adoration, Shi Qiang’s gaze toward Wang Xiao was filled with fury, his fists clenched so tightly they cracked.

This student had the audacity to flirt with Ding ngqi right in front of him. Considering the many male teachers at Forest City University, Shi Qiang, with his family’s wealth and decent looks, had long since claid Ding ngqi as his own.

“Hehe, I’m normally very serious. It’s only when I see you that I turn bad. Think you can set straight?”

Wang Xiao chuckled, touching his nose and giving Ding ngqi a roguish grin.

Ding ngqi, fully grasping his double entendre, blushed and retorted with a hint of annoyance, “Wang Xiao, if you don’t stop joking around, I’m going to stop talking to you.”

Lin Hua and the others were practically ready to bow down, their eyes brimming with nothing but awe for Wang Xiao.

Third Brother is incredible!

Just look at his way with words…

So much more sophisticated than the usual “Hello, have you eaten?”!

Taking Ding ngqi’s hint, Wang Xiao stopped his teasing. He shrugged and said helplessly, “We can’t seem to find the Traditional Chinese dicine System’s class team. We’re really at a loss here.”

“Traditional Chinese dicine System?” Ding ngqi’s face took on a peculiar look. She pointed her delicate finger at Shi Qiang and inford them, “Teacher Shi Qiang is the counselor for your departnt.”

“Hello, Teacher Shi.”

Soong Ming and the others were taken aback, but they quickly composed themselves and greeted Shi Qiang.

Shi Qiang, caught off guard, quickly masked his initial surprise with a veneer of coldness. He was seething, plotting how to handle Wang Xiao, and now, discovering they were his own students, he saw the perfect opportunity.

Haha, you lot are unlucky to have ended up in my hands!

“Good, all good,” Shi Qiang said, his face breaking into a thin smile as he addressed Soong Ming and the others.

Then, turning to Ding ngqi, he added, “Since they’re my students, I’ll take them to the Traditional Chinese dicine System’s class team.”

Wang Xiao had been keeping a close eye on Shi Qiang’s deanor the whole ti. Earlier, when he was ribbing Ding ngqi, Shi Qiang’s face had darkened like the bottom of a burnt pan. So why was he now suddenly beaming with smiles?

“Alright, I’ll leave them in your hands.”

Ding ngqi didn’t elaborate further. She simply nodded, bid Wang Xiao farewell, and departed to attend to her own students.

Once Ding ngqi was out of sight, Shi Qiang turned to face Wang Xiao and the rest, his gaze harboring a glint of iciness. His voice was laced with disdain as he spoke, “Follow . You’re all university students, yet you can’t even find your own team. You’re worse than elentary school kids!”
