Just a couple days after the wedding, every mber of Veronica's harem, plus so, had moved in. Cassidy, Aviris, Lyra, Sirtia, Kazue, Tisha, even Liafi and Nia too.
Sable and Seraph were invited, but they both refused, for different reasons though.
The harem, however, were busy exploring the manor. Except for Lyra, she was busy being bathed and clothed by the maids.
There were so massive changes already. While everyone had their own bedrooms, Veronica and Celia's room had gained a larger, sturdier bed. For the first few days, it started as just simply a few of the girls would share the bed with Veronica and Celia, but it didn't take long to evolve into jealous argunts and needing a bed about three tis it's current size.
Liafi and Nia were more busy in the royal smithy, gushing over all the expensive and new forging equipnt. Kazue successfully broke off and examined the kitchen with a handful of the older kits. Tisha and Eleanora introduced their daughters to Priscilla, who, naturally, fainted.
Sirtia and Aviris were "training", more like a duel, in which who ever wins, gets to sleep next to Veronica for the next week. Without anyone else's consideration.
Lyra was taking heavy educational classes with the gentlest teacher here, Celia. Which, for so things, was a great option. Others... not so much. Especially when it ca to sex education. While Lyra knew the basics, due to her inate desire to breed, she herself was still a bit clueless on the finer details. Details that Celia barely knows herself thanks to Veronica.
And then there was Cassidy, who followed Veronica around everywhere. Though, she was bored as Veronica was busy doing her royal duties, or at least, what she could do without Celia or Priscilla. Granted, it was predominantly paperwork. So much paperwork.
It was now quite understandable why Priscilla's office was such a ss. Half of the egregious stack was utter nonsense, the other half was more nonsense, but important nonsense.
"Almost all of these could've been fixed by themselves had they watched their own spending. Who needs a golden throne in a hospital?" Veronica muttered to herself.
Cassidy was, surprisingly enough, great help. She was actually extrely good at math, helping Veronica with the more complex financial situations.
"How do you know all this? You typically sleep through most of our educational classes at the academy."
"The healers I went to were expensive. So, if I didn't want to run out of money, I just simply had to figure out how to afford them."
"You make it sound more simple than it actually may be."
After most of the paperwork was finished, Veronica spotted one that was rather interesting. Sable had requested so additional forces to her family's land for so kind of beast problem.
"Interesting... I'll be right be back."
"M'kay. Now, why would they purchase seventeen gallons of chicken milk? I didn't even know that chickens produced milk..."
"They don't."
"That makes more sense."
The two giggled a bit before Veronica left to go find Priscilla. After speaking to a maid, she found out that Priscilla was currently in a eting with Duke Fontaine, Sable's father.
With a respectful knock, Priscilla let Veronica in.
"Consort Dornan, it's good to see you. This is Duke Fontaine, a close friend of mine."
"Greetings, Duke."
"Greetings, your Highness."
Being called that still made Veronica uneasy.
"So, why are you here?" Priscilla asked.
"Ah, Sable- Ahem, Lady Sable dey Fontaine has requested a handful of troops to help clear out the beasts in their territory."
"That girl always is ahead of nowadays." The Duke chuckled.
"What a coincidence, the Duke here was just asking about that. Hm... Alright. Veronica, can you and so.e of the girls go there? I'll have a detachnt of soldiers be there as well."
"Of course. I'll have to convince the others, though I doubt they'd say no."
"Thank you, your Highnesses."
"Of course. Your daughter is a dear friend of mine, so it only makes sense for to help her. Anyways, I'll be off. Farewell, Mother, Duke Fontaine."
Veronica left with a bow and an odd taste in her mouth. It was definitely odd calling one of her lovers "mother" even though they aren't related. But, the important thing is that it wasn't too hard to gather up the girls.
And thus, they ventured out to a neighboring county, to help solve a beast issue.
