It was quite difficult for Veronica to get up in the morning, considering the fact that she was buried by three attractive won. Though, she did eventually wiggle her way free, getting ready for the day.
Shower, clothes, Cassidy's mouth, and breakfast. Small chats and exercise were nice, but it was Veronica's turn to go get their mail this ti. So, with her boots on, she went off to the academy's courier service.
"Building and na." The clerk asked, sorting through various mail.
"Building two-four-seven-three. Veronica Dornan."
"Stamp here." She said, pushing up a legal docunt to ensure no mail theft.
Veronica stamped it with her team's stamp. The clerk looked over it and compared it to previous docunts. Eventually, she nodded and turned around, digging through all the sorted mail.
"Here you go, miss Dornan." She said, setting down a relatively hefty amount of missives for the girls.
With just a nod in thanks, Veronica grabbed then all and walked back ho slowly, making sure not to drop them. Thankfully, she got then ho without even tripping.
"There is... quite a lot here." Veronica said, setting the pile of mail on the table.
"I wouldn't doubt if half of these were still marriage offers for you, Veronica." Sable said, looking through the mail, sorting it into various piles for everyone.
And needless to say, most were indeed for Veronica. And all but two were marriage offers. One of the two was from the Queen.
Dear Margivine Dornan,
I hope this missive reaches you well. Princess Celia misses your comfort, so do I. The courts are getting rather... upset at the lack of marriage announcents for Princess Celia. I'm afraid that we will have to go public, and perhaps go through the marriage process soon. Otherwise, Princess Celia will be forced into a marriage that not even I could possibly stop. You don't have to worry imdiately, but I do wish for your presence as soon as possible.
Sincerely, Queen Priscilla dey Montague
"Well, that is certainly..."
"What mother would say. And you got her with you too? Seriously? You're not going to stop until you have the whole royal bloodline huh~?" Eleanora teased, kissing Veronica on the cheek.
The next letter was from Veronica's parents. Just the letter this, so no books.
To Veronica Dornan
Hi honey! How have you been? It's been a while since your last letter, so think of this as a check in. Oh, and your father had sprained his ankle a couple days ago, trying to get back into carpentry, making a wooden staute of you. You know how he can be. And news has recently spread over here about your title of Margravine, so the whole village is throwing a huge celebration for you. It would be great if you could co by, but not worries, I know you can be quite busy with school and all of that adventuring. Be safe dear.
Love, Mom
Veronica softly smiled at her letter. Taking Cassidy there as well, so the two can get their fill of nostalgia for a while. How long would they be able to stay, she wondered.
Though, while everyone read through their missives with smiles or a simple look, Aviris' face contorted from interested, to conflicted, to angry, then back to conflicted. She sighed as she continued to read, rubbing her eyes in disappointnt.
"Idiots, the both of them." She muttered.
"What's wrong, Avi?"
"I don't suppose so of you would want to co to the desert for a while?"
