The encampnt was large, but the entrance was freely open. Veronica and Marriott were just waiting for Shaerill's signal.

There was small chatter among the enemies, but nothing was clear. Veronica could her Elven accents mixed in woth so human accents. And it seed positive. So a group of Elves were working alongside humans.

'But why do they want another war? They have peace on both sides?'

"Possibly because they knew nothing but war. It's what they lived for. So, they're trying to reignite a previous one. Though, that's just a guess." Lilith tried to co up with one of many possibilities.

Soon enough, arrows ca down from above, followed by volleys of fireballs. That was the signal, so the two warriors rushed in, taking advantage of the chaos.

The two girls were able to constantly flank their foes as they ran about, all confused. Cassidy's fire quickly destroyed various structures, and at the sa ti, the soldiers were trying to put out the fires.

Shaerrill's arrows flew through the air with extre precision, always hitting her targets and covering the two flanking warriors.

Veronica felt odd as she grew more and more used to the killing, though she didn't have the ti to think about it. anwhile, Marriott was running through the battlefield with a wicked smile and serious focus, as if she was born battle crazy.

Either way, the camp soon went quiet as rain started to pour, quickly putting an end to Cassidy's flas. So, everyone gathered in the center of the ruined encampnt.

"That was strangely easy..." Shaerrill said, carefully looking around. "Anyway, all we need to do now is pick off any remaining stragglers and search for information. Arachne, Veronica and Cassidy, you three can go search anything for information, Marriott, you and I will scout the surrounding area and kill any leftovers."

The girls all nodded and went about their own way. Small tents, burned buildings, unused stables, nothing had what they were searching for.

It didn't exactly help that Veronica didn't know exactly what she was looking for, but she believed that it would be obvious. Like a notebook or sothing.

"Aaahhh!!!" Cassidy scread, quickly getting Veronica's attention, causing her to run to Cassidy as quick as possible.

Turning the corner of a building, her heart sunk. An extrely large man had Cassidy around the neck. She tried to struggle, but his strength was too much for her.

"L-Let... go..." She choked.

"Who else is here with you, broad?" His voice rumbled.

"No one! No one... else." Cassidy lied, still trying to squirm from his grasp.

"You must think I'm stupid. Seventy n are dead, half of them by arrow fire, and chunk by blades and the rest were burned. I don't see no bow or sword on you, mage. I'll ask you again. Who are they, and where?"

"Fcuk... you..." Cassidy said, which turned out to be a massive mistake.

Fed up with Cassidy's answers, he threw her as hard as he could into a wall, unmoving.

"CASS!"

Veronica scread out as everything suddenly went dark. She could vaguely rember moving her sword, only because she felt her muscles move. However, she only saw herself covered in blood and holding Cassidy in her arms.

"Cass! Please! Wake up, please!"
