“Lin Fei, would you like a can of milk?” Xiaoyue offered a can of milk to Lin Fei.
“Thanks, I’ve never had this kind of canned milk before.” Lin Fei smiled lightly, taking the pop-top can. “I just wonder how it compares to the mix I make myself?”
“Uh, it’s okay, I guess.”

Ping City’s Xiangyuan Street
Outside a residential complex.
Two police cars with flashing lights ca to an abrupt stop in front of the complex’s entrance.
As the car doors opened and closed, four or five uniford officers got out, along with a tall, muscular young man in a tight grey tank top, his shoulders almost as thick as thighs.
“Yu Fei, it’s up to you this ti,” a police officer, who appeared to be leading the team, said gravely to the young man. “This new boss seems tough to deal with.”
“I’ve never done anything like this before; I’m feeling a bit nervous,” a young-looking officer said with an uneasy expression.
“Be careful; the opposition is formidable. Safety’s off on your guns.”
“No need to panic, just do what you have to do and don’t worry about the rest,” Yu Fei said as he pulled a bunch of black leather gloves out of the car, slowly slipping them on. The gloves weren’t fully covered types, just with so protection at the joints.
“All right, let’s go.”
The group nodded at each other and quickly walked towards the complex.
At that mont, from within the complex, two n in black jackets with hands in their pockets walked out, brushing past Yu Fei and his group.
Chen Chen, carrying a small leather bag, rushed into a residential building within the complex.
“Bang!” The security door swung wide open.
“I’m back!” Chen Chen kicked off her high heels and squatted to rub her heels. “Sneakers are so much more comfortable. Mom, I’m back…”
Her voice ca to an abrupt halt.
What t her eyes was the bright red blood covering the floor, and amidst the strong scent of blood, two familiar figures lay lifeless on the ground.

“Aren’t you going to sing?” Lin Fei asked Xiaoyue.
“No, I’m tone-deaf,” Xiaoyue chuckled awkwardly, her eyes darted to Lin You, “But You sings really well.”
“Really? I didn’t know that.” Lin Fei looked at Lin You in surprise, who was chugging a can of Coke.
While it was bustling around Wanwan and her brother, Lin Fei, Lin You, and Xiaoyue sat apart, seemingly unconcerned.
The female class teacher also ca over to exchange pleasantries with Lin Fei, then got dragged away by so classmates.
“ow~~” A little black cat walked elegantly and nestled into Lin Fei’s arms.
Lin Fei picked up the cat. He looked at Lin You.
“You, I’ve always wanted to ask you sothing,” Lin Fei began.
Lin You gave him a blank look, “Speak!”
“Is this black cat male or female?” Lin Fei asked curiously. “Shall we check now?” he suggested as he began to spread apart the cat’s hind legs with an air of mock seriousness.
Imdiately, the atmosphere around them froze. Lin You looked at him in astonishnt, and the black cat, offended, let out a shrill scream, biting Lin Fei viciously before leaping away, disappearing from sight.
Lin You’s face turned red with embarrassnt, an indescribable sense of sha welling up inside her.
“Are you trying to kill ?” Unable to hold back any longer, she got up and ran out.
Lin Fei, licking his bitten finger, smiled as he watched Lin You’s retreating figure.

“Don’t move! Put your hands up!” A black gun barrel steadily aid at Chen Chen. The surrounding officers wore solemn expressions.
“It’s too cruel.”
The officers exchanged aningful looks, and one of them nodded, indicating understanding.
“To be able to lay hands on one’s own parents!”
“Keep still!” The officer holding the gun forcefully shoved Chen Chen.
“Dad… Mom…” Tears blurred her vision, her voice shaking. She was suddenly pushed to the ground. Devoid of the strength of an F-level Peak warrior, she seed like an ordinary woman.
Yu Fei shook his head, a look of pity on his face, “Chen Chen…” He wanted to say sothing, yet couldn’t find the right words.
“Tell , was it him?” Chen Chen suddenly whispered.
Yu Fei fell silent.
In the living room, amid the fresh blood, the kneeling woman seed frozen in ti.

“What do you think about Chen Chen’s situation?” Zhao Lao, half-sitting on the hospital bed, asked softly.
“It’s a bit much,” said a muscular, black-clad elder sitting beside him.
“Back then, I can’t believe I misjudged him. I even gave him my most prized collection… Sigh.”
“He has support from above now. I have no choice but to step back. The upper ranks of the Hawk Faction are now in the main position. There’s nothing the province can do either.” Old Zhao heaved a sigh. “I never thought he would be like this… ”

“Bang! Bang!” Two gunshots rang out, neither hitting their target, as the woman slipped away with nimble leaps, quickly vanishing into the darkness outside the door.
“That’s enough.” Yu Fei stopped the police officer who was about to shoot again. He watched as Chen Chen left.
Tears kept welling up, and Chen Chen felt her chest fill with anger and sorrow. She was more agile than she had ever been before. The image of her parents lying in a pool of blood was still replaying in her mind.
At the entrance to the apartnt complex, a graceful figure stood there.
“An Ying, are you here to catch
too?” Chen Chen stopped in her tracks, her voice trembling as she asked.
An Ying watched the woman in front of her, who used to be a beautiful and lazy companion, in silence.
After a mont of silence, it seed she knew An Ying’s answer.
“You know where he is, right?” Chen Chen clenched her fists. “Tell !”
“You’re just going to throw your life away.”
“Tell !” Her eyes widened, fixated on the other person. There was pleading in her eyes, and also resoluteness. Tears slowly dripped down her cheeks.
An Ying bit her lip and turned her face away.
“Chen Chen, run away. Leave this place. Pretend we’ve never t.”
“Tell !!” Chen Chen, hysterical, suddenly threw a punch. Bang, An Ying was struck hard and fell to the ground, with blood oozing from the corner of her mouth.
An Ying sat up on the ground. The two were silent for a mont.
Finally, An Ying spoke up.
“Donghua Road,” her eyes were complex, “Cherry KTV.”

“What’s wrong with Lin You?” Xiaoyue asked in surprise. Wanwan and her brother also looked over with confusion.
The commotion here had montarily distracted everyone else in the private room.
“It’s nothing,” Lin Fei said with a smile. “She went after a little cat.”
“Is it really okay?” Wanwan asked.
“It’s alright,” Lin Fei took a sip of milk gently, then stood up. “It’s getting late. I’ll go find Lin You and take her ho.”
“I’ll co too,” Xiaoyue quickly stood up.
“Then we’ll go together,” Wanwan said, pulling Xia Jie to their feet, “Mr. Li, we’re going to leave first. Xu Lin, are you guys planning an all-nighter?”
“Yeah,” a girl sitting in the middle of the sofa responded, “Almost everyone’s planning to stay up. Don’t go, it’s our last get-together, who knows when we’ll see each other again.”
“It’s okay, I’ve created a class QQ group. Everyone just needs to sign up for a QQ account and join, and then it’ll be easy to keep in touch,” Wanwan said with a smile.
“Well, Mr. Li, we’ll take our leave,” Lin Fei and Xia Jie said their goodbyes to their horoom teacher separately.
Lin Fei gently opened the door of the private room, just in ti to see Lin You leaning against the wall, with a little black cat hiding in her arms, burying its head and not moving.

The group left the KTV, and the cool night breeze caressed them.

Xiaoyue smiled and agreed. Lin You hesitated for a mont, but also nodded her head.
Xia Jie had no objections, falling slightly behind to give the three of them so space.
They had only walked a short distance. Lin Fei was at the back, while the trio of Lin You chatted in front. Xia Jie was on his phone while walking, occasionally laughing out loud. It seed like it might be his girlfriend on the call.
Vehicles by the sidewalk stread by, like a river.
As they reached a T-junction, Lin Fei casually threw her milk can into a trash bin.
“Lin Fei.” A voice suddenly ca from behind her.
Lin Fei turned around in surprise, a man was leaning against a BMW car, calmly watching her, his eyes sharp as knives.
“Long ti no see,” he said with a smile.
Suddenly, a light breeze stirred up the fallen leaves between them.
“Long ti no see,” Lin Fei smiled too, her eyes shimring with a hint of blue.
Not far away, a slender figure was hidden in the shadows, her hand subtly reflecting the glint of sothing sharp and silvery.
