??Chapter 62: Chapter 58 Process II

Chapter 62: Chapter 58 Process II

“Maybe they just like to spit out so blood?” Lin Fei said helplessly. He was already skillful at controlling the force to make sure that no wounds were visible on the body’s surface while delaying the onset of the injury. Moreover, now that they were in the middle of a mission, anything that ca up would naturally be handled by those above, as long as it wasn’t too big of a deal. Those were the words of the person in charge.

“I warn you!! Stop fooling around with that smirk!” The police officer’s eyes swept the room and spotted the Longsword Ring on the ground.

“You’re suspect of carrying a controlled weapon, this sword is being confiscated!” The police officer had a keen eye, spotting the delicate, antique patterns on the ring and imdiately judged the sword to be of considerable value.

Generally, when suspected of carrying a controlled weapon, it was common for the weapon to be confiscated and then kept by the police for personal use.

In these situations, most people would soften up, fearing trouble while being away from ho and being detained. So, the majority would choose to keep the peace. Soften their attitude and then, when pulled into the station and detained for a dozen days, negotiate from there.

“Officer, I am a passenger who was robbed. I fought back in self-defense, and now I’m the one who has to be charged with assaulting a foreign friend? What kind of reasoning is that? And my sword hasn’t reached the standard for being a controlled weapon, right?” Lin Fei’s deanor darkened, but in his heart, he harbored a killing intent.

It took the thief a good while to catch his breath, finally climbing up from the ground and said viciously, “I only took the wrong thing. Are all of you from Hua Nation this crude and barbaric?”

At this point, the person leading the team arrived late. A few people in police uniforms were following him.

As soon as the team leader approached them, he pointed sternly at the police officer and thief who were there before.

“These two are suspected of intentionally infringing upon passenger’s property, take them all back.”

The officers behind him imdiately stepped forward in silence, twisting the arms of the two n and taking them away. Right until the end, they were still dumbfounded, not understanding why the situation had taken such a turn.

“What are you doing? I am a patrol officer, which bureau are you from??”

“Why are you arresting ? I am an official citizen of South Korea!! You have no right to arrest !!”

The shouts of the two n slowly faded away.

Lin Fei picked up his Longsword, glancing at the chief officer.

The latter was also looking at him.

“Thinking of killing soone, huh? Kid, you really do bring trouble upon yourself,” the chief officer said coldly in a soft voice. After saying that, he turned and walked away.

“This is trouble, the chief officer has a bad impression of you now,” Xu Wei said, frowning nearby.

“No matter, I’ve read the previous information; the provincial leader also participates in public missions.” After this incident, Lin Fei had ford a rather poor impression of these people from South Korea.

“Let’s talk about it when the ti cos. He won’t be foolish enough to deliberately target soone from his own team.”

If it was before his rebirth, before his outburst, Lin Fei was always calm, but once he exploded, with his temper, he would definitely unleash it imdiately, without restraint. Now, he was slowly learning to control his emotions.

The past violence and impatience were gradually changing.

He had a premonition that perhaps this trip to South Korea would not be peaceful.

“Perhaps I should prepare early,” he murmured to himself.

*************

Countless whirlwinds burst forth from in front of Lin You.

The wild wind ravaged the area, causing dust and lighter debris to scatter and fly away.

The tiny black cat sat in front of her, speaking human words, and then fierce winds whipped up around it.

“I’m willing,” Lin You had barely finished speaking when the black cat suddenly leapt up, instantaneously transforming into a black bracelet that attached itself to Lin You’s wrist.

“What is this? A magical girl?” Makka stared in astonishnt. “Isn’t it just a black cat with the ability to transform? How could this be?” Suddenly, he seed to have realized sothing. His face abruptly filled with shock. “You… could it be that you ate that?”

“What’s wrong? Not satisfied?” A crisp female voice suddenly rang out from behind Lin You. “If I hadn’t directly eaten it, would I need to keep appearing as a cat? With that dumb and clueless look on your face, you must be just a lowly lackey under Shunyan’s command.”

With the sound of light footsteps, an annoyed-looking beautiful girl dressed in a tight black leather outfit erged.

“You… you didn’t burst from eating it?!” Makka expressed his astonishnt and disbelief, pointing at the girl and shouting loudly.

“Alright, stop dawdling, girl. Just take him out,” the girl with long hair said, flinging her waist-length black hair nonchalantly, speaking to the stunned Lin You.

“Ah? How should I take him out?” Lin You looked utterly confused. “I don’t know any magic. You haven’t taught .”

“Damn it! You actually think you’re a magical girl!! Use your superpower! Superpower! You idiot!!” The long-haired girl imdiately burst out in frustration.

“Who are you calling an idiot?!” Lin You’s face flushed with anger, and suddenly a bluish-white chill rose from her hand, with countless snowflakes swirling continuously in the palm of her hand.

She herself seed surprised by the sudden and powerful effect. Startled, her hand trembled slightly, and the accumulated snowflakes ford an eerie curve in the air before brutally smashing into the completely unprepared Makka.

“You!….” Before Makka could finish speaking, he was struck squarely by the snowflakes. His body imdiately stiffened, falling straight backward.

“Let’s get out of here!” The long-haired girl grabbed the dazed Lin You and hurriedly ran past Makka, heading towards ho.

**************

“In this team, no one around can be trusted. Each person is a murderer with blood on their hands, whether it be a woman, child, or elderly person. The mont you expose a weakness, you’re likely to beco fodder or a human shield for others.”

On the plane to South Korea, Xu Wei whispered to Lin Fei and the cross-dresser.

“Now, the person in charge already has a poor impression of Lin Mu, which ans you’ll probably be at a disadvantage when it cos to the assignnt of duties,” Xu Wei said with concern.

“I’ve been thinking about sothing. Apart from our combat power, none of us really have any other standout skills, and there are many among us who are greedy for wealth. So, sending us to escort valuable artifacts seems a bit too risky. Moreover, considering the long journey we’re not used to, most of us will not be able to adapt, which will likely reduce our performance to below that of an ordinary soldier in an unfamiliar environnt,” Lin Fei said calmly, voicing his doubts. “It seems that the only thing we can rely on is our combat power, so gathering us together like this – is it rely to prepare for constant sniper and encounter battles? If we go straight into combat, we won’t expose our other weaknesses.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than the cross-dresser and Xu Shiyuan looked at him with a touch of admiration.

Xu Wei nodded in slight surprise, “Indeed, as you said, we are only involved in scheduled encounters at predetermined locations, purely as combat power to be deployed. And the details of the artifact’s transport route are not disclosed to us.”

“I heard that almost half of the participants in the last mission died. Is that true?” The cross-dresser suddenly cut in. “Call

Ning Xiaoyuan,” he added, introducing himself.

“That’s correct. The enemy mobilized several top-level snipers, and in a very short ti, most of our people were dead. In the end, the mission was a failure; we were only allowed to return ho after reaching the death count limit,” Xu Wei said with so regret. “I was seriously injured at the ti and taken for dead by the enemy; that’s how I narrowly escaped. It was others who dragged

back.”

A trace of sadness flashed across Xu Shiyuan’s face as she sat next to him, gripping her father’s hand tightly.

The four of them sat in a row, and the airplane was nearly empty, with no one else except the mbers of Shueisha. The mbers from across the country surrounded them. As Xu Wei spoke to Lin Fei and the others, the people sitting around them also listened carefully.

“So, who were the enemies you faced at that ti?” Lin Fei continued to inquire.

“Soldiers,” Xu Wei answered flatly. “And not just any soldiers, but soldiers who have killed before.”

“Why bother talking to these brats? They’re all gonna die soon anyway. Just wasting your breath,” a man resembling a gorilla sneered from behind.
