Hunter’s POV
I’ve never stopped searching for her.
I would rip my own heart out before I gave up. I couldn’t give up. I had to find my Angel and I had to bring her ho.
I was against leaving The Howling Woods. I wanted to stay there and find my mate. I was completely sure that I would be able to bring her ho safely.
But I also knew that Alex and Mason wouldn’t let stay there. They would either want to stay with , or they would drag my ass back to their pack.
I couldn’t just leave and not try to find her. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if she was there and I did nothing. So I ordered my warriors to go there and find her. I sent my best trackers and my best warriors and told them to inform as soon as they found sothing that could lead to her.
When they inford that they found a building in the middle of the fucking forest, I knew imdiately that I found my Angel.
“Are you sure, Hunter?” Alex asked as he rushed behind .
Hearing that my Angel was found was more than enough for to shift back. I needed to gather everyone and I needed to go get her.
“Yes,” I said, running toward my parents’ room. “My n saw my fucking grandfather leaving the building. She is there.”
Alex growled just as I barged into their room.
“I found her!” I exclaid. “I am going to go get her. Are you coming, Dad?”
He stood up abruptly.
“Of course!” he exclaid. “Where is she?”
“The Howling Forest,” I said as I hugged my mom.
“The Howling Forest?” my dad asked, surprised. “Are you sure? How do you know?”
“There is no ti to explain, Dad,” I said as I let my mom go. “I will tell you everything on our way there.”
I was wasting ti by coming to their room anyway. I wanted to mind-link my dad and tell him to et outside, but I knew that my mom would kick my ass if I didn’t say goodbye to her.
“Be careful, honey,” my mom mumbled worriedly.
“I will, Mom,” I said as I rushed toward the door.
Alex and my father followed outside.
Alpha Logan, Luna Emma, and Beta Andrew were already outside preparing. Alpha Logan was giving orders to his warriors.
“Logan!” soone yelled, making turn around.
I saw Alpha Logan’s mom running toward us. I recognized her from the pictures in my Angel’s room.
“What are you doing here, Mom?” Alpha Logan said as he stepped away from his warriors.
Alex took his place and continued talking to them. I focused on the conversation between Alpha Logan and his mom. I still didn’t get a chance to et her. I didn’t want to do it now either. I wanted to leave and go get my mate.
“You can’t keep away anymore, Logan,” his mom said, her voice breaking. “I want to help my granddaughter.”
Alpha Logan sighed and glanced at Luna Emma.
“It’s dangerous, Mom,” he said as he took her hand and started walking away from us. “We talked about this. I wanted you to stay at the cabin and rest.”
I couldn’t hear them anymore because they walked inside the house.
“She is having issues with her heart,” Luna Emma said, making turn around and look at her.
She was looking after Alpha Logan and his mom. She had a worried look on her face.
“Logan and I are keeping her away from anything stressful,” Luna Emma continued. “We are worried about her health.”
I placed a hand on her shoulder and squeezed it gently. My knees buckled when she looked at . Her eyes were the sa as Sophia’s.
“I am sure that she will be okay,” I said as I forced a small smile on my face. “My mom is staying here and she can keep an eye on her.”
Luna Emma smiled at , making gulp. I never realized how much Sophia looked like her. I felt a hot knife pierce through my chest and I had to hold back a sob.
I missed my Angel. I missed her so fucking much.
“Let’s go get your mate back,” Luna Emma said softly as she turned back around and approached Alex.
I took a deep breath and followed behind her.
“I don’t give a fuck about Richard or any other witch we find there,” Alex said sternly. “I want them all dead.”
I looked to my left and saw my dad talking to our warriors. He had a determined look on his face. I couldn’t hear what he was saying, but I was pretty sure that it was sothing similar to Alex’s speech.
“Let us deal with Sophia, okay?” Luna Emma spoke, making look back at her. “If you find her, call one of us and don’t approach her. It is not easy for to say this, but she is dangerous right now.”
My heart clenched painfully. I still refused to believe that she was as dangerous as they were saying. She was my Angel. She was my mate. She would never hurt . She would never hurt her brother or her family mbers.
“Do you have any questions?” Alex asked his warriors.
“No, Alpha,” all of them said at the sa ti.
Alex nodded and looked at .
“We are ready to go,” he said and I could hear nervousness in his voice.
I nodded and looked toward the packhouse. Mason rushed outside.
“Where is Logan?” Luna Emma asked him.
“He will be right outside,” Mason said. “He is talking to my mom and Luna Janet about grandma.”
Luna Emma nodded and took a deep breath.
“She will be okay, Auntie,” Mason mumbled as he hugged her.
She hugged him back and nodded. “I know. Thank you, honey.”
The packhouse door opened and Alpha Logan rushed outside. He had an angry, but determined look on his face. He glanced at all of us and tightened his jaw.
“Let’s go get my daughter back,” he said, shifting into his huge black wolf.
All of us followed right after him and before I knew it we were racing through the forest on our way to save my Angel.
