Dusk felt wonderful. Today had been nothing short of agonizing for him, but now—now his body brimd with life once more.

The eyes that had once lost all sight could now see the world again. Only at that mont did he truly realize how precious it was to simply see the world—not as sothing to be taken for granted, but as a blessing.

’I didn’t expect the system’s reward to be this amazing. Even those old scars... they’re completely gone.’

He silently mused to himself as he gradually beca aware of his now flawless body—one free from wounds and blemishes.

But unlike his joy, the three others in the room stood frozen as if turned to stone. They rubbed their eyes, utterly unable to believe what had just unfolded before them.

In just a fleeting instant—a heartbeat, even—a man who looked as though he was on death’s doorstep had transford into soone perfectly healthy, as though he had never been injured at all.

"This... how is this possible?" Caelan muttered in disbelief.

The other two wore similar expressions. After all, this was sothing completely beyond logic or science.

Was the human body even capable of such miraculous recovery? Even a fool could tell this was unnatural.

Seeing all three of them staring at him wide-eyed as though he were so rare mythical creature, Dusk couldn’t help but feel slightly awkward.

Still, this was undeniably a good thing. Their shocked reactions only ant that the likelihood of securing a partnership had increased substantially.

"So, what do you all think of that little demonstration just now? Just as I said, I’ve recovered—completely. In fact, I’ve never felt better in my entire life," he said with a smile.

Only then did the three snap out of their daze and turn their attention fully to him. Their eyes glead with newfound interest.

As mbers of a long-standing rchant family, their eyes now sparkled like those who had just stumbled upon an incredible treasure trove.

"Haha! Brother, you truly are no ordinary man! There must’ve been so sort of misunderstanding regarding your being wanted. Surely the authorities just misinterpreted your good intentions," Caelan laughed as he walked up beside Dusk.

Then, with exaggerated warmth, he extended a hand and shook Dusk’s firmly, as though the two of them were old and trusted companions.

Dusk, of course, wasn’t about to reject the gesture. He didn’t care what the others were truly thinking—as long as he could establish a cooperative relationship with them, that was all that mattered.

He stood up and shook Caelan’s hand as though they were lifelong brothers.

Lysandra, however, couldn’t shake a strange feeling. To her, it didn’t seem like two people were shaking hands. No—it was more like two cunning foxes sizing each other up.

Still, she didn’t dwell on it for long. The possibility of her grandfather gaining a few more years of life was far more important.

And even more crucial was the chance for her to attain and eternally maintain the most beautiful in the world.

After all, the path wasn’t rely a hobby—it was sothing more important than her own life.

A person without a path might as well be incomplete. And soone who had never pursued the path that truly belonged to them could be considered nothing more than a biological tool—one that had never truly lived.

"Hey... all those things you said earlier—were they really true?" She asked, though she already knew the answer in her heart.

She was simply seeking confirmation—because the answer was sothing that defied the imagination of any ordinary person.

’Now their level of trust in my words has risen significantly. It looks like the chances of persuading them are very high.’

Dusk mused silently and was just about to release Caelan’s hand when sothing suddenly felt off.

He glanced at his arm and noticed a tiny wound had appeared there. It was just a thin cut—barely enough for a drop of blood to erge.

"What the hell did you just do?!" Dusk swore, quickly pulling his hand back.

He had assud they wouldn’t make any hostile moves, yet right after a handshake, he was cut. What the hell was this?

But Caelan didn’t look the least bit embarrassed. He simply smiled and replied,

"I was just curious. To recover from such severe injuries in re seconds is nothing short of a dical miracle. I wanted to see if your body had any... unusual characteristics."

"So now you’ve seen for yourself," Dusk said flatly. "My body is no different from any ordinary person’s. I know what you’re thinking, but the truth is—this healing wasn’t my own ability. You can think of it as a blessing from a higher existence, if that helps you understand. This wound won’t heal because I only had one chance."

He couldn’t exactly say he had a system that occasionally handed out quests and rewarded him with miracles.

The three of them froze upon hearing that. If Dusk’s words were true, didn’t that imply that soone—or sothing—truly existed above them?

Normally, the gods people worship in religions were abstract, distant figures—more fantasy than fact. There had never been scientific proof of divine miracles, just stories that could be fabricated or exaggerated at will.

But this—what Dusk had done—they had seen it with their own eyes. No tricks. No illusions.

"Do gods really exist...?" Tharion muttered, frowning. "Does that an those who worship them actually receive blessings in this age?"

Tharion had always been a staunch atheist—soone who believed solely in his own efforts. Yet now, even he found it difficult to deny what he’d just witnessed.

Hearing Tharion’s uncertainty, Dusk found it sowhat amusing. God’s blessing the faithful? He had no idea. He’d never seen such a thing happen.

"You’re overthinking it. They’re not gods; it’s just that their level of existence is much higher than ours right now. Simply put, they’re very strong, so don’t try to ss with them." Dusk explained.

His tone turned serious. He genuinely wanted to warn these potential allies not to recklessly antagonize beings of overwhelming power.

After all, there was no benefit in doing so—only a quick death. Better to endure and achieve your goals, even if it ans bowing your head.

’Wait a second... that lunatic really hated rich people, didn’t he? And these people... they’re filthy rich. Well, if our cooperation goes smoothly, I’ll warn them. If not... then they’re on their own.’

Suddenly, the image of Lucien crossed his mind. Dusk had a feeling the Veilrose family might be near the top of that maniac’s target list.
