"Hmph, if you don’t know how to climb, then learn. A young man who can’t even sneak into soone’s house—how could you ever hope to beco a proper thief?" Viper said as she smacked Dusk on the head.

"Huh?!"

What the hell? Since when did I dream of becoming a thief? She’s obviously just ssing with !

Though cursing inwardly, Dusk didn’t resist. Resistance would’ve been pointless anyway.

Viper dropped the teasing and started climbing into the house. Dusk followed closely behind.

As they slipped inside, Viper kept a close eye on Dusk’s movents. The corner of her mouth curved up into a sly smirk.

’Hmph, you think you can fool ? Those movents were way too professional for soone who claid to be clueless. Just who the hell is this guy?’

She was suspicious. Dusk’s skills weren’t sothing an average citizen should possess.

Everything he did scread criminal background—or maybe military or police training.

If he weren’t so clearly a murder suspect, she might’ve already suspected him to be a governnt spy.

The two of them found an opening in the roof and squeezed through, looking for a way down.

Before long, they found a path leading down into the house.

"Step lightly," Viper whispered. "Don’t let the target slip away. There’s only one person here, so don’t overthink it."

Dusk gave a wordless nod. After all, this wasn’t his first ti sneaking around.

A faint sound reached their ears—probably a TV.

They followed the noise until they arrived at a room. Inside, they saw a scrawny, unkempt young man sprawled out on a sofa, watching television.

The room around him was a disaster—clothes, garbage, empty food containers, and liquor bottles were scattered all over the place.

’Damn it. I only hid in a dump because I had no choice, and here this guy is—a real talent—managing to turn his house into one.’

Dusk frowned. The reeking, rotten stench in the air annoyed him. Just because he’d once lived in a landfill didn’t an he enjoyed sniffing filth.

"Hey," Viper called out as she walked straight toward the young man.

To her, this scrawny junkie was a 0% threat—no need to be cautious at all.

The man turned his head, eyes dull and unfocused as he stared at her. When he saw a beautiful woman standing in his house, a wicked fla ignited inside him. Naturally, he didn’t recognize her—Viper rarely showed her face when working.

This was his ho. Since soone had co in on their own, he saw no reason not to act like a beast.

"Heh heh, babe, wanna have a little fun with ? I promise it’ll feel better than any high you’ve ever had."

His sleazy voice and perverted grin made the already disgusting atmosphere even worse.

’Bold. I don’t even dare ss with this psycho woman, and here you are going all in the mont you see her. Sure, it’s probably just your stupidity talking—but still, props to you, man.’

Dusk couldn’t help but raise a thumb in mock admiration for the guy’s bravery.

Viper smiled. Her expression began to shift.

But seeing that smile, the junkie misread the situation entirely, thinking she was getting shy.

"Heh heh, no need to be shy, sweetheart. I’ll be gentle~"

He started thrusting his hips suggestively, eyes full of lust as he stared at her. He didn’t even register Dusk’s existence in the room.

Viper said nothing. Her smile grew wider, more defined.

Then, without warning, her foot shot out and slamd into his face.

His body flew back, his head smashing into the wall before he collapsed face-first onto the floor.

Several of his teeth scattered from his mouth. Blood and spit pooled out beneath him. He’d been pathetic before—but now he looked utterly ruined.

"When exactly were you planning to pay us back?" Viper asked coldly, stepping forward.

Terror struck the young man. For the first ti, panic overwheld him. Only now did he realize who had co to visit him.

Of course, he had no idea she was the boss. All he knew was that she belonged to the cri syndicate he’d borrowed money from.

He wanted to speak, to beg for rcy—but he couldn’t get a word out, not with her foot pressing down hard on his head.

"Ugh... mmm... urgh..."

His muffled groans annoyed Dusk. What a waste of ti.

"Hey," Dusk said. "How’s he supposed to talk when you’re smashing his face into the ground?"

"Oh? My bad. So sorry~" Viper gasped with mock surprise, covering her mouth in theatrical apology.

Dusk’s mouth twitched. He didn’t know what she was planning next, but one thing was certain—this guy was in for even more pain.

She lifted her foot off the man’s head, then squatted down beside him. Her hand seized a fistful of his hair, yanking his head upward.

The junkie’s bloodshot eyes struggled to focus—only to see her smiling face twisted into sothing utterly feral.

"You look like you’ve been living quite comfortably," she cooed. "Let give you a free massage."

As soon as the words left her mouth, she slamd his face into the floor.

Then again.

And again.

Again and again, she bashed his head down until his features were no longer recognizable—just a bloody sar painted across the floor.

It was only when his face was drenched in crimson that she finally stopped.

At that mont, a voice echoed in Dusk’s mind.

[Master, I must say... I’ve been very disappointed in you lately. Your behavior doesn’t resemble a supre villain at all. Look at her! You should be taking notes—study her! Only then can you surpass her and beco the greatest villain in history.]

Dusk’s mouth twitched again. Learn from her? Of course not.

He didn’t consider himself a villain anyway. He was simply soone willing to use any ans necessary to achieve his goals.

But her?

Her goal today had clearly been the young man’s heart—but she hadn’t killed him outright. She’d tortured him first.

Now, the guy was dead. Blood loss, massive cranial trauma—there was no saving him.

"Huh. That was quick," she said, turning to Dusk with a smile. "Weak little chicken."

Her face, still spattered with bright red blood, curled into a grin. The sight reminded Dusk of the demons he’d once encountered.

’Damn it... How the hell do you look more like a demon than actual demons?’
