Heave ho, heave ho!

A group of people, sweating profusely, finally hit sothing hard beneath the ground after digging for nearly half an hour, halting their further digging efforts.

"There’s sothing down there!"

"Seems like so kind of plank?"

"Huh? A plank? Buried in the soil?"

"Isn’t that a coffin? Hurry, dig it out!"

The group worked with great enthusiasm, quickly unearthing a massive black coffin from below.

Song Jiling, covered in dirt, exclaid in surprise, "Why is there a coffin buried here? And such a big one? Even with so many of us, it’s nearly impossible to lift it out without tools."

"No need to lift it out!"

Yu Nianzhao frowned tightly before leaping directly onto the coffin.

With one hand placed on the coffin lid, a gust of wind swept by.

The nearby diggers were affected, groaning as they fell to the ground.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

An eerie voice emanated from the coffin, accompanied by a stifled groan.

Yu Nianzhao jumped to the ground, calling out to the others, "You all, move far away quickly!"

"Okay, okay, let’s go!"

They also heard the strange sounds and scrambled out of the pit in fear, retreating a good distance.

Yu Nianzhao tossed out two talismans, sticking them onto the coffin.

Crash!

The next mont, two bolts of lightning struck, hitting the coffin lid precisely.

Bam!

With a loud crash, the coffin lid was split in half.

Thick black fog erupted from inside the coffin, revealing grimacing ghost faces, baring their fangs and claws as they flew towards the others, trying to bite them fiercely.

"Ahhh! Ghosts!"

"Run! They’re going to eat us!"

"Why did they release the ghosts?"

The others were scared stiff and turned to flee.

"Jiu!"

Yu Nianzhao calmly called out, and Jiu dashed along the shadows on the ground to devour the vile spirits.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa——"

The vile spirits never expected to encounter a nesis like Jiu.

Being bitten and shattered bit by bit by Jiu.

"Oh my god! This is too terrifying."

Ms Lu was so frightened she collapsed to the ground, trembling terribly.

Yu Nianzhao asked her, "Is this how the vile spirit you saw looked?"

Ms Lu shook her head, "Although I didn’t get a good look, that vile spirit was just one, completely different from this."

Yu Nianzhao nodded slightly and directed soone to pull out the people inside the coffin.

At first, the others dared not approach the coffin, but with Yu Nianzhao present, they mustered the courage to get closer in the end.

"It’s the young master, the young master and Miss Song are lying inside!"

The approaching servant shouted, and Song Jiling and Luu Shaoqi rushed over imdiately.

Sure enough, they saw Luu Shaochen and Song Caiwei lying inside the coffin, unconscious.

Yu Nianzhao poured water from a kettle to awaken the two.

Song Caiwei looked at her blankly, "Zhaozhao? Why are you here? What happened to ?"

Song Jiling, with reddened eyes, huffed angrily, "Sister, you have so nerve to ask! What exactly happened? To elope with soone! I know you dislike Luu Shaoqi, that you like Mr. Lu more, but you can’t just abandon us. And see, your elopent even got you into trouble. If it weren’t for finding Miss Yu in ti, I’m afraid you’d have been dead by now."

"What? Elope?"

Once she ca to, Song Caiwei was shocked by his words, "Jiling, don’t talk nonsense, I wasn’t eloping."

"Huh?" Song Jiling was equally stunned, looking suspiciously at Luu Shaochen, asking, "You didn’t abduct my sister, did you?"

Luu Shaochen rubbed his brow, shaking his head, "It wasn’t my doing. I wouldn’t bear to make Caiwei elope with to live a hard life."

One sentence sent a flush of color over Song Caiwei’s face, making her shyly embarrassed.

Song Jiling, "..."

He suddenly felt like his question was unnecessary.

"But we received your elopent note."

Mr Lu was puzzled.

"That’s fake!"

Yu Nianzhao said, "There are those capable of forging handwriting."

"I did indeed co to Mr Lu for an explanation."

Song Caiwei hesitated, saying, "He said he could give up his title, but would never give up, asked to wait for him, which made really happy, so I planned to return ho, but as soon as I got on the carriage, I was knocked unconscious."

Luu Shaochen nodded, "I also rushed over upon hearing Caiwei’s side, only to end up... I was just not vigilant enough."

"It was him! It must be him!"

Ms Lu was apprehensive, trembling as she spoke, "He wants to get rid of the two of them and then kill each mber of the Luu Family one by one. No, that won’t do! If a life has to be taken, then take mine. It was my arrogance and foolishness back then that caused this. Haven’t you gotten enough after haunting for so long? Don’t target my family anymore."

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

The only response was gusts of cold wind.

Ms Lu gritted her teeth and took a dagger out from her sleeve, making a motion as if to slice deeply into her arm, causing blood to flow imdiately.

"Mother!"

Luu Shaoqi was startled, not expecting Ms Lu to be so harsh on herself.

"He loves it when I feed him with my blood; only this way can I force him out."

Ms Lu had fallen into a frenzy, her eyes turning red as she said, "He nearly buried them alive, who knows what more outrageous things he’ll do, I want to perish together with him."

"Miss!"

Suddenly, Wei Zhao cried out in alarm.

A shadow flew out from the temple, within the thick black fog, a faint human figure erged.

Those blood-red eyes locked onto the sight of Ms Lu’s blood, clearly drawn out by the scent of it.

Ms Lu saw it appear and shouted excitedly, "Yes, it’s him; get away from and stop harming my family."

The vile spirit replied with a cynical tone, "Harm? I’m helping you, fulfilling your desires, getting you everything you wanted. What? Now that you’ve used , you want to kick aside? Where on earth does anyone find such a good deal?"

"I didn’t; it was you disguising as Buddha in my dreams, it was your temptation."

Ms Lu turned deathly pale, swaying until Luu Shaoqi supported her in ti, anxiously bandaging her wound, "Mother, hang on."

"Heh heh heh!"

The vile spirit laughed arrogantly, "See, Luu Shaochen, it was your stepmother who offered up your destiny, who caused you to lose your right to inherit the title, and almost got you and your beloved killed, yet you still won’t avenge?"

His voice was very enticing, even Luu Shaochen wavered for a mont.
