"Pfft!"

A scoff was heard nearby. The Daoist frowned in displeasure, "What? Do you think what I said was wrong?"

"Nonsense!"

The voice of the cloaked figure was hoarse, mocking, "Do you think Yu Nianzhao’s abilities are only this little? You underestimate her. If she were so easy to kill, why is your master still recuperating behind closed doors?"

The Daoist’s expression was montarily awkward, then suspicious, "If my master was injured, Yu Nianzhao must be hurt too, right? Now is the perfect ti for to capture her!"

At that mont, he would accomplish a great feat, surpass his senior brother, and perhaps even be granted a position as elder by his master.

The cloaked figure sneered, "Working with you is truly a waste of ti."

"You!" The Daoist was furious.

Bam!

At that mont, the door was knocked down, revealing a silent interior.

"Where are the demons?"

The Daoist was shocked, his mouth agape, his jaw almost dropping to the floor.

[Satisfied, satisfied, truly satisfied!]

[It’s rare to be half-full, really nice.]

[This buffet is quite satisfying, will there be another next ti?]

[Considering they prepared this buffet, I almost don’t want to kill them.]

Jiu Ying’s shadow ate heartily, shrinking into a small lump, the shadow resting on Yu Nianzhao’s shoulder, and squinted in satisfaction.

Yu Nianzhao walked boldly to the door, the two little spirits were consud, and Wei Zhao leisurely floated to Yu Nianzhao’s side, standing shoulder to shoulder with her, facing the aggressive Chu Family mbers.

"Yu Nianzhao, why aren’t you dead yet!"

Chu Wenjun’s eyes flared red, as he grabbed the bow and arrow from beside him, aiming at her, "You must pay for my brother’s life."

The Daoist also staggered in shock, slapping his thigh, "Impossible! Where are those demons? Those were hard-earned demons!"

"Ate them."

Yu Nianzhao calmly played with the hair by her ear, completely dismissing them, "Chu Wenjia’s wicked soul deserved its fate; Chu Wenjun, the lives on your hands are probably no less. But strangest of all, who purified your wicked soul? Or... who replaced your fate?"

Fate replacent?

Chu Wenjun’s pupils shook, his eyes ruthlessly focused on Yu Nianzhao, not hiding his murderous intent.

"What do you know?" His voice was suppressive and deep.

"Tsk, did I hit the mark?"

Yu Nianzhao clasped her hands behind her, stepping forward, "Your aura of purple is plundered, isn’t it? Given how vile you are, do you deserve the favor of such a purple aura?"

Chu Wenjun gritted his teeth, "When did the Pei Family produce such a formidable woman? Who exactly are you?"

"I’m your grand-aunt!"

Yu Nianzhao scoffed lightly, stepping forward, causing the Chu Family mbers to tense up as if facing a great enemy.

"A sorceress, you must be a sorceress! How could an ordinary person eat all those demons? Young master of the Chu Family, this person cannot be left alive, kill her quickly."

The Daoist stamped his foot in anguish, pointing at Yu Nianzhao’s nose, "Leaving her alive is obstructing the Chu Family’s grand plans."

Chu Wenjun sneered coldly, "I know. Since Yu Nianzhao set foot in the Chu Family today, let her leave her life behind."

The arrow was shot, Liuzhu and Wei Zhao blocked in front of her, not even the hem of her garnt was touched by the arrow.

"Damn it!" Chu Wenjun cursed angrily.

With a wave of his hand, the hidden guards behind him charged at Yu Nianzhao.

As the large blade was about to strike Yu Nianzhao, she calmly raised her hand to form a seal. A layer of barrier enveloped her, and no matter how the guards hacked, they couldn’t break through.

"Is this... a barrier?"

The Daoist rubbed his eyes and gasped coolly, "I can’t perform such magic, even my master only knows a bit of it. Why can she use the barrier so easily?"

Yu Nianzhao’s Divine Power had recovered by twenty percent, easily handling these people.

"Miss, should we fight our way out?"

Liuzhu and Wei Zhao revealed their ferocious appearances, ready to protect the girl even as vengeful spirits.

"No need!"

Yu Nianzhao’s eyes and brows carried a cold edge, as her Divine Power sent the hidden guards flying away. Yu Nianzhao touched the ground with one hand, saying coldly, "Don’t you love collecting demons? Then let you taste the feeling of being counterattacked by a courtyard full of demons."

Yu Nianzhao whispered, and the Chu Family’s demons began to stir. The quiet puppeteer-like demons twisted, eyes fierce and faces contorted with a grimace, gathering towards them.

"I give you this chance: revenge upon those you hate and grievances against those you wronged."

Yu Nianzhao’s voice held great authority, as the ghosts’ flas on their foreheads and crowns rekindled, the bitter resentnt surging onto them.

Ah, ah, ah——

The demons’ resentnt eroded them, siphoning the yang energy from their bodies. The hidden guards of the Chu Family were panicked, and those possessed began attacking each other, unleashing ear-piercing screams, chaos erupted.

"She can control demons, why aren’t you helping!"

Chu Wenjun’s confidence shattered as he roared at the Daoist, his eyes bloody red, "If these demons kill so many of my hidden guards, I’ll make you a sacrifice!"

"This, this, this..."

The Daoist was on the verge of tears; he hurriedly summoned his Magic Artifact, setting up formations, while fending off the demons approaching him, sweating profusely.

"Chu Wenjun, I’m curious to see if soone like you has a black soul."

Yu Nianzhao sohow appeared before him. Chu Wenjun retreated two steps, watching her warily, "What do you intend? To kill ? Do you not understand the status of Duke Luu Mansion in the Great Chao Country? If you kill , not only you but Prince Su will not escape involvent. My father and the Empress Dowager can use as an excuse to launch a counterattack. With your status, can you bear the consequences?"

Yu Nianzhao replied lazily, "So what? Do you think I care about the dynasty’s developnt? I only care whether your soul is wicked or not!"

"Yu Nianzhao, I’ll kill you!"

Seeing her unfazed by threats, Chu Wenjun drew his long sword, slashing at her.

Ding~

A pebble struck Chu Wenjun’s sword, making his hand ache.

Raising his eyes fiercely, he saw several masked n in black standing on the rooftop, not knowing their identity but knowing they were enemies.

"You have helpers? Is it Xie Jiuxiao?"

Chu Wenjun said coldly, "I thought this was the trap I set, only to be outwitted by you. Truly a clever plan, worthy of Xie Jiuxiao!"

"So much nonsense."

Yu Nianzhao didn’t care whether they were helpers. She ford a seal with one hand to extract souls.

Bam!

Golden runes rged into Chu Wenjun’s body with a terrified look, only to be expelled by the purple aura surrounding him, leaving Chu Wenjun unhard!
