Chapter 871: Chapter 867: Injured
Richelle Dunn smiled helplessly.
“But I’m already so busy myself, and there are many things I can’t do. I can’t impose a double standard on him, can I?”
However, Jasmine Leith shook her head, disagreeing with her thoughts.
“Richelle, you silly girl, it’s okay to be occasionally willful with a man. You’re being too considerate, and n may not appreciate it. Just like a crying child getting milk, n need you to act up from ti to ti so that they’re constantly reminded of your importance.”
Richelle Dunn didn’t quite agree with Jasmine Leith’s words, but suddenly, she thought of Isabelle Bailes.

“Aunt Jasmine, I actually envy the relationship you and Uncle Kennedy have. You are like this because you were with him when you were young. “No matter how much a man respects won, deep down, he actually enjoys being depended on and needed by the woman he loves. As for you, calling you a strong woman is an understatent. I know you can solve and deal with many things on your own, but occasionally showing so vulnerability to give n more confidence and a sense of accomplishnt is not a bad thing.”
Richelle Dunn knew that Jasmine Leith was trying to help her. Of course, whether it would really be useful remained to be seen.
“Auntie, is this how you kept Uncle Kennedy in check?”
Jasmine Leith was a highly capable and strong woman in her own right, but Richelle Dunn had indeed often seen her acting like a helpless little bird in front of Kennedy Green.
Jasmine Leith winked at her, “I won’t deny that this is one of the reasons, but of course, other factors in maintaining a relationship are also indispensable.”

And Roy hadn’t ntioned this at all. When Richelle Dunn saw his bandaged arm, she was startled.
“How did you get hurt? Was it an accident or a retaliatory attack?”
Roy Lewis hugged Richelle Dunn with his uninjured arm, “I’m fine, I just got hurt accidentally,”
Richelle Dunn frowned at him, “Co, let see if the injury is serious or not.”
Roy Lewis was sowhat reluctant, but Richelle Dunn was a doctor. Even if he didn’t let her look now, eventually, she would see it when he changed the dressing. With no choice, Roy Lewis followed Richelle Dunn into the side room.
As he watched Richelle Dunn hurriedly fetch the dical kit, Roy Lewis hesitated for a mont before calling out.
“Baby, actually…”
Richelle Dunn stood up holding the dical kit and turned to look at him, her beautiful eyes scanning him.
“Actually, it wasn’t an accident, was it?”
Roy Lewis had to nod and admit it.
“Yes, I was stabbed by a knife.”
Richelle Dunn frowned, “So, you were really attacked in revenge?”
Roy Lewis shook his head, “No, I went to investigate sothing, and the place I went to had complex personnel. They didn’t allow bodyguards to bring any ans of self-defense. Then, there was a conflict nearby, and I was the innocent fish that got hurt.”
Richelle Dunn didn’t know what to say to him.
Because she knew Roy was always cautious and careful. If he got injured, it must have been unavoidable.
“Sit still, I’ll change your dressing and see if there’s any additional treatnt needed.”
When she removed the gauze and saw the extrely deep and long wound, she couldn’t help but frown.
“It’s so deep, it almost reached the bone, didn’t it?”
Roy Lewis quickly comforted her, “No, I took an X-ray and received treatnt at a hospital over there. It didn’t reach the bone.”
Even though Roy Lewis said that, Richelle Dunn still wasn’t at ease. She asked about the treatnt at the ti and said with a frown,
“Not good enough. I don’t feel at ease. Let’s go to the hospital for another X-ray and get so anti-inflammatory dication now.”
Roy Lewis had been away from ho for several days, and he hadn’t seen Richelle Dunn and the kids in a while.
“How about we wait for the children to co back and have dinner together before going to the hospital?”
The three children hadn’t returned from school yet. If Roy Lewis went to the hospital now, by the ti he finished his examination and received an IV drip, the children would probably be asleep.
Richelle Dunn thought it would be okay to go later since it wasn’t an ergency.
The main thing was that the three children knew he would co back for dinner tonight and had been looking forward to it for a day and a night.
“Alright, let’s go after dinner. If the kids ask later, just say you accidentally scratched yourself.”
Richelle Dunn didn’t want the three little ones to worry.
Roy Lewis humd in agreent, his eyes downcast as he watched Richelle Dunn carefully and ticulously clean his wound.
“Baby, I’m sorry I gave you a fright.”
He touched her hair affectionately and felt guilty.
Richelle Dunn was indeed worried about Roy, but she also knew that he was a cautious person and wouldn’t pick fights recklessly. So, she smiled at him.
“I’ve been through a lot, and this injury isn’t a big deal, but you have to be more careful in the future.”
Roy Lewis nodded, “I know. I have an old family and young children, not to ntion a bride and wife whose wedding ceremony we haven’t had the chance to hold yet. I value my life more than anyone else.”
It was just that the scene had been chaotic at the ti, and he was fortunate to have had three bodyguards with him, which enabled him to escape unscathed.
“As long as you rember that. From the mont we got our marriage certificate, your life has been mine. Without my permission, you are not allowed to do anything that might harm yourself.”
What she ant was that if sothing happened in the future, he should tell her first.
Roy Lewis wrapped his arms around her waist, lowered his head to kiss her forehead, and then promised.
“From now on, if there’s any dangerous situation, I’ll make sure to inform you beforehand.”
