Chapter 865: Chapter 861: Harris Dunn’s Dying Struggle
Theo Dunn was completely unaware that he was falling into the trap set by Richelle Dunn and Royce Gyons. As the negative press towards the Dunn Group spread more and more intensely online, the drop of Dunn Group’s stock price was akin to a nosedive, having hit the lower limit twice in a single day.

He exerted all his effort to appear calm and collected, calling in his closest aides to his office to discuss counterasures.
Among these aides, two were forr deputy general managers who used to work under Jayden Dunn’s wing. Having been through storms and waves in the many years with the Dunn Group, their response capabilities were extrely strong.
Despite this, these two deputy general managers remained silent with their brows furrowed from the start this ti.
Theo had always held them in high esteem.
“Mr. Linwood, Mr. Devin, what are your thoughts? Is there any way we can stop this negative press?”
Theo had spent most of these years abroad and only returned a few months ago to take over the Dunn Group, so in terms of connections, he certainly couldn’t compare to these two old deputies.
Mr. Linwood didn’t release his frown, saying, “Mr. Dunn, our company has been burdened with negativity all year. It’s the investnt that we received from United Ventures that regained the trust of shareholders. But now, if United Ventures intends to reduce its holdings, it will be the icing on the cake for us.”
Theo was shocked as it was the first ti he had heard about this news.
“Mr. Linwood, where did you hear this news from?”
Mr. Linwood looked at him strangely, “Haven’t you been following Ms. Munni? She posted a suggestive WhatsApp Status.”
Theo did follow Denise Munni, but where would he find leisure to scroll through WhatsApp statuses amidst the multitude of problems he faced today?
He looked at the WhatsApp status that Denise Munni posted in the afternoon.
“Having been a director for so many years, it’s my first ti having such a bad judgent. It’s best to cut the loss in ti if things don’t work out!”
Theo went blank for a mont before pulling out his phone to call Denise Munni.
The phone rang for a while before Denise Munni finally picked up.
“Mr. Dunn, what can I do for you?”
Due to Richelle Dunn, the relationship between Theo Dunn and Denise Munni had always not been good.
Except for work-related conversations, there was never any superfluous exchange.
“Ms. Munni, in view of the various negative rumors about Dunn Group online recently, as the company’s deputy manager, shouldn’t you prioritize the company’s interests and not mislead others with your comnts on WhatsApp Status?”
Theo’s sense of reasoning reminded him to be as polite as possible towards Denise Munni. However, considering her relationship with Richelle, his tone inevitably carried so questioning and bla.
Denise Munni laughed lightly, “Mr. Dunn, which eye of yours saw ntioning the Dunn Group? Don’t tell you are feeling guilty and taking the bla upon yourself?”
“I’ve invested in at least a dozen companies this year. Why are you so sure that I was referring to the Dunn Group!”
Theo felt that this call was entirely a self-inflicted humiliation.
“Ms. Munni, we all know who you were referring to. As it stands, everyone will just have to look after their own interests.”
The aides who were present furrowed their brows after listening to what Theo said.
Mr. Linwood, being the eldest and most experienced, could not help but remind him.
“Mr. Dunn, Ms. Munni is from United Ventures. At this crucial ti, she is the last person we should offend!”
Theo Dunn looked inscrutable, deliberately ignoring what Mr. Linwood said and asked everyone else,
“Do any of you have contacts with big project partners who would be willing to co forward and defend us?”
Even though Theo had been smooth in his managent after taking over the company for a few months, most of the long-term, large scale projects were still being chaperoned by the previous deputy general managers or individuals.
When it cos to making use of personal relationships, it seed more winning for the older employees to take the lead.
