Chapter 834: Chapter 830: The so-called Almighty Assistant
Richelle Dunn felt that Nathan Caroule was quite pitiful, since he was originally just Mr. Lewis’s special assistant.
Now, he had to deal with all the troubles around her and Roy Lewis.
In order to express her gratitude and apology, Richelle specially made so snacks and brought them to Lewis Group.
Nathan and Denise Munni always loved the snacks she made.
After accepting the snacks, Nathan said,
“Dr. Dunn, you’re too polite. You and Roy always say that we’re all family. In the future, I’ll be counting on Timmy, Timothy, and Tiffany to support us in our old age, so aren’t your affairs and Master Seaton’s affairs also mine?”
Although he said this, Richelle still felt like she’d given Nathan a big headache.
“I’ll add 2% to your year-end bonus and commission from my private account.”
Of course, no one would mind having more money.
“Thank you, Dr. Dunn!”
Richelle smiled apologetically.
“I can’t let you work for free. The workload at Lewis Group is already so high, and I’m also asking you to do extra work.”
Nathan didn’t mind at all.
“Either way, I’ll work harder now so that I can learn from you and Roy later on, and retire early to enjoy life.”
After expressing her gratitude, Richelle asked Nathan about the cooperation with William Bailes.
“The data that William Bailes provided is mostly accurate. I’ve also talked to the bosses of several major cinemas, and they said that their company’s films are well-received and of high quality. The general feedback from the audience is that they hope for more sequels. So, it seems, there is a good potential.”
What Nathan said was similar to what Richelle had found out.
“The information I found is quite similar to yours. I find it quite strange. With their production standards and box office records, investors should be very interested. However, I found out that they have always been operating independently. After interacting with William Bailes, I don’t think he’s the type to be so independent. From the proposal he sent and the plans for the later stages, it’s clear that he has a broad vision and a grand sche.”
Nathan hadn’t paid much attention to this issue before, but after hearing Richelle’s words, he couldn’t help but feel puzzled.
“You’re right. I always had a feeling that sothing was off, and now I understand. Their production company should be attractive to investors, who should be competing to invest. But, as you said, all the films they’ve produced in recent years were solely funded by themselves.”
Richelle thought about it carefully.
“Could it be that they suddenly want to promote their works to the international market, and they happen to et at this ti?”
Nathan also thought about it before shaking his head.
“That doesn’t seem right. Judging from the international information provided by William Bailes later on, he has a deep understanding of overseas markets. It’s impossible for him to have a temporary change of mind. Moreover, I learned that around 30% of the mbers of their production team were top talents they had poached from overseas with a lot of money a few years ago. In other words, he had this ambition and plan very early on.”
This was the first ti Richelle had heard of this.
“This is quite unusual. It seems that we need to find out the reason behind this first. Otherwise, we might get scamd and lose a lot.”
Making a profit or loss in business is normal.
However, if they lose money due to negligence and not doing enough howork in the early stages, it would be a mistake and a wrong decision rather than a normal risk.
Nathan also thought that this matter was rather serious. “Alright, I’ll find an excuse to stall the progress first, and investigate this matter before proceeding.”
Nathan was always very efficient. The next day, he had found out the reason and told Richelle.
“Dr. Dunn, it turns out that it’s not that nobody wants to invest in William Bailes’ company, it’s that nobody dares to.”
Richelle was surprised, “No way, are they doing sothing shady?”
Nathan seed to understand her concerns.
“You’re overthinking it. Their current funds and operations are absolutely legal and in line with the rules. There’s no such thing as you imagine.”
Richelle heaved a sigh of relief and asked puzzledly.
“So why doesn’t anyone dare to invest in them?”
Nathan started by being a bit mysterious.
“At first, I also thought like you and had people investigate their funds and daily transactions. Everything was clean and consisted of normal inco and expenses.”
“Then, I had people inquire about so related investnt companies. These companies seed to deliberately avoid the topic and just said they were not interested.”
“That made even more curious. A company with such a good investnt outlook, and yet they all say they’re not interested? Moreover, it wasn’t just one investnt company, several of them gave the sa answer. Sothing’s not right!”
Richelle also felt that sothing was wrong. After all, she was an outsider and felt that it was a good investnt when she heard about William Bailes’s plan.
“And then, do you want to guess where I finally got the answer from?”
Richelle really couldn’t guess. “From where?”
Seeing Nathan smile and not say anything, a light bulb went off in her head.
“Did Denise tell you?”
