While standing at the entrance to his house, he spoke in his mind,

’Spell, I would like to buy a skill.’

The whisper of the spell returned, speaking in his ear as a panel of runes shimred into existence.

Survival rits: 40

And below it, a locked list:

Available Skills (Beginner Tier):

Archery (Cost: 25 rits)

Dagger Mastery (Cost: 25 rits)

Evasion (Cost: 15 rits)

Swordsmanship (Cost: 35 rits)

Buan already had a skill in mind, which would be perfect for his situation; however, before buying, he wanted to be in a safer space.

Currently, he was standing in front of his house’s entrance. He could hear Selera’s and Lira’s voices coming from inside. It appeared they were cleaning the house.

"How has he been living? There is so much dust." Selera’s voice ca from inside.

"Mother, I told you he was miserable on his own. I even asked you to let live with him, but you stopped . What can you expect when he was suffering alone in this house?" Lira complained.

"Don’t bla . It’s your father who laid down these rules. He wanted Buan to grow strong on his own without any help, but it appears his thods turned out to be wrong." Selera sighed.

At this mont, Buan opened the door and entered inside.

"Buan, you’re back," Lira said excitedly, running to him.

She hugged him tightly, as if worried he would disappear.

"Finally, we can live together." She muttered, raising her head to look at him.

She was 170 cm in height, so her head reached his collarbone, requiring her to raise her head to look at him.

Buan could feel her soft breasts pressing against his body, and he didn’t know how to react.

He knew she was his half sister, with their father being the sa; however, he wasn’t Buan; he was Eric, a man who didn’t have any relation to her.

He couldn’t help but react differently.

"Lira, let your brother go. He has suffered long enough. He must be tired." Selera said strictly.

She was already standing in front of Buan, giving him a worried look.

"Alright." Lira let go reluctantly before sizing him up. Her gaze stopped on his wooden leg as she asked, "So this is what Hula made for you?"

Buan nodded. "Yes." He smiled slightly. "He said this is the best he could do."

Lira bent down, her clothes shifting slightly, revealing her soft, bronze skin, her milky thighs, and a slight portion of her cleavage.

She touched his wooden leg to inspect it as Buan’s gaze couldn’t help but travel along her soft yet long arms and collarbone.

"It looks sturdy." After a while, she comnted.

Buan, afraid to get an erection, hurriedly said, "Y-yeah... I would like to go in my room and rest for a while. Please excuse ."

He didn’t even wait for their response and just rushed to his room.

"He must be really tired." Selera muttered, looking at the door of his room.

"Yeah..." Lira agreed in a daze.

After a while, Buan could hear the sound of them cleaning the hall outside, as coughing sounds would co from ti to ti.

He looked around his room, rembering the mories of last night.

He woke up in this strange room out of nowhere and had to run for his life.

This was where all of it started.

However, now it looked safe and peaceful, instead of eerie and dark like yesterday. Maybe it was due to sunlight pouring in through the cracks in the wooden window.

In his room, he could see the fur bed, the table with a broken bronze mirror, a fur pallet on the ground, a stone floor with reed mats, thick furs piled in a corner, an empty bow rack, and a bone stand to hang clothes.

The clay lamp, which had been flickering the night before, had been extinguished, its oil reserves expended.

Buan could still sll the oil lingering in the air along with the scent of resin and crushed herbs.

The house seed to have been made with an unrecognizable material, which appeared to be dark gray in color. The roof was crafted with a combination of this material with so woven reed and timber.

However, all this didn’t seem important.

Right now, he had to buy the skill that would allow him to survive even with his wooden leg.

He took a seat on the fur bed and looked at the panel of runes in shimring in the empty space.

Available Skills (Beginner Tier):

Archery (Cost: 25 rits)

Dagger Mastery (Cost: 25 rits)

Evasion (Cost: 15 rits)

Swordsmanship (Cost: 35 rits)

Spear Mastery (Cost: 30 rits)

Without any hesitation, he spoke in his mind, ’I would like to buy Archery.’

The spell, as if ready to fulfill his request, spoke imdiately after.

As you desire, host.

Buan saw the survival rits count change on the panel from 40 to 15.

Suddenly, Buan’s brain felt an influx of information as he grabbed his head, not due to pain, but due to dizziness.

His brain was in the middle of organizing this new knowledge, making him feel dizzy.

In his mind, images flashed, not of him, but of soone else.

A hand coiling around a bow, pulling the string, and striking a giant beast’s eye from 700 ters away, from the top of a cliff. He could feel the touch of the bow, the tension in the string, the friction against his fingertips when he pulled the arrow, and the whoosh the arrow left behind when it shot towards the beast.

It was as if he was the one shooting the arrow instead of the man in the flashes of mory.

After a while, the dizziness in his head stopped; his brain had finished rearranging the alien knowledge, absorbing it as its own.

Suddenly, Buan felt different.

Archery didn’t feel unfamiliar to him anymore; instead, it seed as easy as controlling his limbs.

Just at this mont, the spell whispered,

The panel of runes shimred, revealing a new, unfamiliar screen.

On the top left corner was written—

Archery:

Below it, around the center, was the text:

Current attributes—

Range : 50m [ ]

Accuracy : 50% [ ]
