Old Ni stood alone in the lush green forest. Towering trees surrounded him, their thick trunks and dense canopies forming a natural arena.
A massive figure erged from between the trees.
The 5th Rank Lizardman stepped forward, its towering body standing a little over three ters tall. Lean yet heavily muscled, its dark-green scales were thick and layered like natural armor.
In its hands was a colossal greatsword, nearly 170 centiters long, the blade almost rivaling Old Ni’s height. The weapon was chipped and battle-worn.
The Lizardman’s slit pupils narrowed. It had been told the enemy was a 4th Rank, though an abnormal one, but still a step below.
Yet the pressure coming from the old man standing calmly before it told a different story.

It roared and swung its greatsword vertically, releasing a crescent-shaped wave of mana straight into the incoming slash.

The two attacks collided violently.
A deafening explosion shook the forest as the shockwave tore outward, uprooting trees and shredding leaves. The ground cracked beneath the impact, and a massive gust of wind swallowed the battlefield.
The Lizardman grunted as it was forced back half a step.
The slash was blocked, but Old Ni didn’t give it a chance to breathe.
He imdiately uncorked a 5th Rank Mana Potion and swallowed it in one motion. Mana surged back into his body like a roaring tide.
Before the gust even fully dispersed, he charged forward. His figure burst through the distorted air, appearing before the Lizardman in an instant.
Old Ni raised his sword high and brought it down with his full body weight and montum as he used his (Iron Weight Slash) skill.
The Lizardman reacted instantly, coating its greatsword in thick mana and bracing it with both hands—one on the grip, the other gripping the blade itself.
