Trash of a Wealthy Family: My Gacha System Guarantees S-Rank Rewards Chapter 39 | I am not losing my Master again!
[Seraphine’s POV]
Just as he uttered the word ’Attack,’ a volley of steel balls shot towards us. I stepped forward, holding my sword tightly. The balls were traceable in my vision; I sent out multiple sword arcs, cutting a few steel balls headed straight towards us.
After being sliced, a few steel balls lost their montum and dropped in the sea. The rest were off the mark and directly entered the waters.
However, soon an implosion of water occurred around us; a thirty-ter-high water wall ford around us. The force field proved useful, and all the water stayed outside.
"Oho...soone who can trace the volleys and this shield too. I always make the right decisions," he acted like he expected this.
"There’s no need to let them test Tidebreaker’s defense. Felicia, we are on water, so you have the most advantage. Damage this ship and other ships that are coming; I and Seraphine will fight to give you as much ti as possible." Master commanded.
The idea to damage their ships was good; next, he looked at and asked, "I could sense that there are nurous strong individuals, but I don’t know the exact number. How many are there?"
"50 Master-rank, 20 Grandmaster-rank, 10 Sage-rank, and I guess you know that loudmouth leader is sowhere near my level," I recounted.
"And that’s just one ship," he comnted. "We need to focus on destroying their ans of travel. The longer we fight, the more chances of us getting attacked by the group of ships trailing behind us."
This was a good strategy; however, I still didn’t like his idea to put himself in harm’s way.
"Master, why don’t you stay on the ship? I and Felicia can fight them and...." I didn’t even finish my thoughts.
"There’s no ti to argue; 70 guys will be too much, even for you," he added.
"Oi, you guys prepared enough. I didn’t have a fight with any Saint these recent days. I hope that chick of yours is decent enough." The pirate leader sneered.
"Cyclops, co here." He shouted, and next we saw a man laughing straight at our ship.
"Thane, and the rest of the team, don’t let them rampage on this ship. Felicia, could you create sothing for us to reach that ship?" Master gave us final orders.
"Sure, Felicia can pretty much do anything with ice. Here you go, nice mister," the only cheerful person at the mont spoke.
She waved her hands, releasing sothing akin to white mist, and a frozen ramp appeared between both ships.
"Look here, guys, there’s a ramp welcoming us. Let’s not waste any more ti; I want that ship in my collection in the next hour," he roused his n.
Master and I hurried on the broad ice ramp, with Felicia on Master’s shoulder.
One more thing that irked was that the leader seed too carefree and relaxed, but I put that thought aside for now. We just have to follow our plan and get away from them as soon as possible.
Multiple pirates started towards the ramp; we t them midway. "Leave the higher ranks to , Master," I shouted.
This was dredging up my mories of the past, where I lost my master in an ambush. The only difference here was that it was in ocean and Master Aiden can fight on his own.
"This bitch looks fine, don’t you think...." He lost his head as he was ranting.
"Filthy mongrels, don’t waste my ti," I remarked as I beheaded him.
After losing their companion, they charged at together. Two sages and five grandmasters lunged at . I easily dodged the swings of their clubs and swords. This was easy picking for ; my main aim was to engage their leader and keep him occupied.
Few lost their limbs to my swings; so got their hearts stabbed. I glanced at the leader, who was showing no response even as his n were being killed left and right. I still found sothing amiss, but I pressed forward.
Next, my eyes moved towards the master’s position; he was punching them so hard that one punch was all it needed to send them flying.
There was no match for him in Master rank; a smile blood on my face, and an even stronger resolve to protect him surfaced. To see his rise and watch him complete his dream.
Seeing us blocking the way to the ship, they launched their own ramps. However, I trusted Bones to be able to handle this much.
As we set our feet on the pirate ship, the remaining number, which was already reduced by us, and a few were already busy attacking our ship.
This looked doable for the mont, but still I didn’t relent. As I stepped forward, my senses reacted, followed by movent of my body. I leaped back as a punch lodged in the ground where I was a mont ago.
"Now, you also caused to destroy my precious flooring. You are too costly to manage, just how that brat handles you." The leader spoke, still relaxed, which was getting on my nerves.
"You are too relaxed for a man who’s about to lose that ugly head," I comnted, watching his every movent.
"You sure are dangerous, I will give you that. Don’t worry, I don’t let prey escape once it reaches my domain," he stated.
Suddenly, that eerie feeling spiked again, much more potent this ti. However, before I could act on this rising danger, sudden flashes started appearing around us.
My vision imdiately darted toward Master, who was fighting 2 Grandmaster-rank and 3 Master-rank. I rushed towards him; the leader’s voice reached my ears.
"Welco to the White Claw sea adventuring group; this is just the beginning."
Master dispatched four of his assailants, and I slashed one Grandmaster-rank pirate.
"We are trapped, Master Aiden," I stated.
"Yeah, I guess we walked into that one," he replied. There was no sign of fear on his face, but I caught that uncertainty in his eyes.
In just a few seconds, the previously filled space of a handful people was now occupied by hundreds of pirates, all looking ready to fight. Once open deck now felt like a cage built of bodies.
My senses picked up tens of enemies, around 100 Masters, 30 Grandmasters, and 5 Sages. The earlier number was totally reversed.
"You should feel honored; your strength made use my ability, although it’s a bit cowardly, well, I am a pirate after all," the leader sneered as he walked forward.
"Now, let’s see how you dodge my punch again," he said with a smirk.
"Master, you have to found a way back to the ship. I will hold them off until then," I requested of him.
"Let’s fight them to the best of our ability and leave together, I am not leaving you behind. Felicia, you told you could freeze people; now is the ti." He refused my idea and raised his fist to ready his stance.
Gripping my sword tightly, I focused myself to get out of this predicant. Only one thought echoed in my mind: ’I am not losing my master again!’
