As I stood at the balcony, enjoying the fresh breeze, I saw a car pull up to the front of the gate.

Who could it be?

The gates opened, and they drove in with three other cars following from behind, but I still couldn’t guess which of the three that ca belonged to, since they all moved with an entourage.

Whoever it was, they must be planning to spend the night.

Co to think of it, did they all move into the mansion? I was curious.

The car pulled up in front of the front yard, and a familiar chauffeur ca down. That chauffeur clearly belonged to Jin-Yeok.

I could rember because aside from Ki-hoon’s chauffeur, whom I t at the beginning, I t Jin-Yeok’s chauffeur when we were making our way around town and visiting different sceneries.

"So, that person must be..."

The Chauffeur opened the door, and just as I thought, Jin-Yeok stepped down from the car and adjusted his coat, his expression quite sullen from what I had expected.

Did he have a rough day? Was he stressed?

I was too far away to see his expression clearly. But then, he sohow noticed and raised his gaze, only for his eyes to widen as he gazed upon the very being he missed.

Lol, I’m just being full of myself.

"Jo...pil?" He muttered and though I couldn’t hear his mutter, I could read his lips.

He looked shocked, beyond words, and I felt I might just make him feel better with a light wave.

I waved at him with a dry smile on my dry and cracked lips, and that caused him to rush into the building, throwing away all sense of composure.

Hm, was it sothing about my smile?

I must look awful cause I haven’t had proper food to eat or water to drink for two weeks. My complexion must be bad, too.

I bet I look similar to a ghost.

But then, my door burst open and I turned around in shock, only to be engulfed in Jin-Yeok’s arms as he enveloped in his embrace.

Wait, how did he get here so fast? Did he fly?

"Jo-Pil," he called, pressing my head against him, with a voice that sounded so full of relief that anyone who heard it might think I had just co back from the dead.

Well, maybe it was similar.

"Master," I called. "Is... Is sothing wrong?"

What sort of question was I asking at a ti like that? Of course, there was sothing wrong.

If I didn’t get this reaction from him, maybe I’d have doubted his feelings for , but seeing this... I wrapped my arms around him... When did he switch places with childish Min-Cheol?

"It’s alright, Jo-Pil. Nothing’s wrong," he said, "Nothing at all."

"In that case, did you miss so much? Why so passionate about the hug?" I asked. "How... How long has it been? I feel like I’ve been sleeping for a while."

I was the only one doing the talking, and I honestly did not expect a response because Jin-Yeok must’ve felt heavy at heart for him to squeeze so tightly and yet so tenderly.

I guess I won’t be hearing much of his punishnt threat for a while.

We stayed like that for a while, and I thought we would stay longer. That is... Until I sneezed.

Jin-Yeok imdiately broke the hug and looked at worriedly.

We were outside, and the weather was rather chilly. My frail body couldn’t handle it.

"Let’s go inside. You can’t catch a cold after just waking up," he said, holding my hand, and I nodded.

I watched him from behind as he led inside my room. I didn’t see it clearly when he was down, but I could see it now.

The dark circles under his eyes that he tried so hard to cover up, and how he had lost a bit of weight. Sure, he didn’t lose as much as but he still lost weight and I could see it.

I sat on the bed, and Jin-Yeok knelt in front of , blowing air into my fingertips that I didn’t even know were cold.

How did he know my hands were cold when he was wearing those gloves?

"I should’ve been more considerate," he said, "Sorry."

Okay, stop with this self-guilt. It doesn’t suit you, and it definitely doesn’t make comfortable.

"It’s alright, I’m fine." I said.

He had turned on the lights, not too brightly, though, because for soone like who had been in the dark for a while, it would only hurt my eyes if he suddenly turned on bright lights.

"Are you hungry?" He asked, but I shook my head. "Still, you have to eat sothing. You’ve been unconscious for two weeks."

I opened my mouth, wanting to say I was fine, but figured that wouldn’t help out the situation, and it would look strange if I didn’t react at all after hearing I had been unconscious for that long, so I asked, feigning surprise.

"Two weeks? I was unconscious for that long? What happened? I rember crossing the road and then..." I tid my pause before saying in a lower tone than I had begun with. "I saw your girlfriend. She tried to run over, didn’t she?"

"Yes, she did."

So, they were aware. Good. I didn’t need to worry about her coming after in the future because they would all be on guard against her.

"But don’t worry, I had her taken care of." He said, and I squinted my eyes.

It wasn’t what I thought it was, right? Even if his love for her was already fading, it wasn’t to the point that he could heartlessly get rid of her, right?

"I’m sorry, Jo-Pil." He apologized.

"What are you apologizing for, master?" I asked, and he bowed his head.

"You told , but I didn’t listen. If I had taken care of my matter right away, then you wouldn’t have been caught up in that accident." He said, and I sighed.

He looked so pitiful that it hurt my heart.

I reached my hand towards his face and raised his gaze to et mine.

"But the accident didn’t happen because you saved , is that right?" I asked, and he stared at with longing eyes. Eyes filled with regret, guilt, and yearning.

My poor Mafia, look what you’ve been reduced to. His suffering was not enough, and it was natural that I would wish for him to suffer a little more, but I could not stand for it.

My heart just couldn’t take it.

"I don’t know why I fell unconscious, but it’s a fact that you saved . And you didn’t let her off too, so... You did your part." I said and smiled. "Next ti, I won’t run off without checking the road, so that’s that. Please, don’t beat yourself up for it."
